Springhaven

Samael is shown to be running very fast, as he continues to try all that he can to try and lose them. He can feel his heart pounding out of his chest, he can feel the muscles in his legs ache from the constant running, the adrenaline couriering through him, as he does all he can to create as much distance to both Sans and Aliza as he can, as he jumped over a bunch of stuff, such as logs, running around the Echo Flowers, all in an effort to make sure that he can be safe from them both. He has no idea how long he can do this, but he is going to try and run away from the area as fast as he can. He needs to make as much distance as he can to the group, just so that they do not find him. He kept on running and running and running, until he began to slow down, he can feel that his legs are about to give in, he feels like he is about to fall flat onto his face, that he will collapse down to the ground, and will be unable to move again. But he cannot give up just now, he needs to keep moving, and the only time that he will stop...is when he finally gets to the point where he is at a safe enough distance from the 2 people trying to consume his body.

As he kept on moving, he realizes that he is about to lose his sight due to the darkness. Not wanting to lose his sight, he than opened his hand, and makes a fireball over his open hand, the fireball glowed brightly enough to illuminate the area that he is in, and he continues to keep on running. Honestly, he is surprised at himself. He is constantly moving as fast and he is not getting that tired. He is lasting far more in running than he ever did before. Looks like the LV that he has gained really was able to help him, especially since it now allows him to keep up his performance for as long as he can. He does not think that he will be able to keep this up forever, though, as he knows that he will need to stop at some point.

And finally, after what must have been 7 minutes of running, he finally began to slow down completely, and has made some effort in trying to run, but he cannot. And than, he began to walk as a result of running a lot more than he had expected, as well as for pushing himself too much. He began to walk, as he uses his magical flames to try and find a place that Samael is able to stay in to rest a little. He looks around, and he feels like he will faint soon, but he cannot faint, not yet. Samael than began to stop, as he went onto his knees and breaths a little bit, to try and save his strength, as he than spoke out to himself.

"That was the most I've ever ran, in my whole entire life. How am I not collapsing from this?! I am literally running from countless hungry monsters, and I am still fine."

Samael tries to keep his voice as low as he possibly can, so that no monster will be able to hear him. As he kept on walking, he than heard a voice from behind him.

"Heh, I didn't think you we're gonna get out of this one, pal."

Samael stopped, as he than turned around and saw that it was the Devil again. And he looks the same as he always has been, his white horns and the tail, as well as continuing to look like himself, as he than spoke out.

"You again."

He than looks at the Devil, who smiled a little bit at him, as he spoke out.

"Aww, I'm surprised that you are able to realize I am still with you, thinking that I was gone."

Samael than spoke out to the Devil.

"Maybe, but I am even more surprised that you have decided to help and come to my aid, despite mocking me. So tell me, why did you help me in the first place, when you could have easily left me there to die?"

The Devil smiled, as he than spoke out.

"That...heh...well...I can't tell you that easily now can I. Besides, the reason would be a bit to strange for even me to tell you, Samael. Besides, I think you shouldn't look forward."

This made Samael confused, but he looked forward, and he is than shocked at what he is seeing before his very eyes, and it is something that he did not expect to come to him, especially from way back before.

Floating right before him, is none other than the ghost from before, back at the purple ruined place. He is just as sad as he ever was, but at the same time, he seems to be very...happy, to see him. The ghost than spoke out to Samael.

"Ooooooh...Hello there. It's nice to...meet you again."

Samael steps forward, as he spoke out.

"I remember you. You were the ghost that me and my friend have met before, back at that purple place."

The ghost nodded his head, as he spoke out.

"Oooooh...I remember you too. Why...are you here?"

Samael than spoke out to the ghost.

"Trying to find a place to rest, so that I can regain my strength, and move to the next place."

This made the ghost curious, as he than spoke out.

"Why...go there?"

Samael than spoke out.

"Answers. Nothing else I can tell you. Do you know how to get me there, if you can?"

The ghost nodded his head, as he spoke out.

"Ooohhh...I do. There is a bridge that leads to Hotlands, and if you are planning to go beyond that, well...to go forward is not possible, as there are puzzles that allows people who solve them to go forward, and unfortunately, the puzzles have been deactivated, due to there not being enough power, and even if there is power, it will only hold long enough for you to do one turn on it, and after that...it's deactivated again."

Samael nodded his head, as he spoke out.

"Okay. Is there anything dangerous here?"

The ghost nodded, as he spoke out.

"Yes...there are. There are...a few monsters that have been...fused together due to an experiment and are completely impossible to kill. And there is...Muffet, a spider monster that has grown too large, and now feats on any people that comes to her way. And then...there is...my cousin, Mettaton. Oooooooh."

Napstablook sounds sad, obviously his family is there, but separated from him, as Samael felt sad for him. He knows how painful being away from family is, especially when you are separated from the ones that have died. He looks down at the ground and does not question Napstablook further, as he then looks back up at him again, as he then spoke out to him.

"Well, at least that there's that. And also...is there a place that I am able to go to so that I can rest and recover my strength?"

The ghost nodded, as he then spoke out.

"Oooooooh...but indeed I do. There is an area known simply as...Springhaven. It is a place that...many monsters had gone to, and yet, when all of this happened, every single one of then wandered out of the city, due to the fact that they had begun to lose their ability to see. It has been abandoned for decades, and yet, it looks as though it has just been recently made. Do you want me to...take you there?"

Samael looks down at the ground for a little bit, as he then looked up at the ghost, before he then spoke out to the very creepy, yet very friendly ghost.

"Sure, lead the way."

The ghost nodded his head, as he then spoke out.

"Oooooooh, then follow me."

Samael nodded as he then walked up to the ghost, and they both began to go somewhere. As he did, he than thought out to himself.

'Never thought that he was this friendly. What was his name again? Napstablook? Yeah, that's his name. Never thought that he would be this friendly to bring me somewhere. I wonder why, though.'

As Samael continues to follow Napstblook, the Scarlet Moth, which had been missing for a little bit, due to the explosion that he had made back there, then came to Samael, and spoke out to him.

"Samael, there you are! Where in hell were you? I had looked hard for you!"

Samael than looks at Chara with a cold stare, as he then spoke out with a question of his own.

"Well, here's an even better question for me to ask. Why is it that you are simply disappearing and reappoint along the way, when you are supposed to be my guide? Probably to let me get killed so that you can do it out of spite for the fact that I refuse to give you my body."

Chara than spoke out to Samael.

"Maybe that, or that i an just getting lost now because of the fact that you made a big explosion while fleeing."

Samael shrugged his shoulder, as he than spoke out.

"Well, who cares. Besides, I don't even have time to talk anyway, as right now, I need to rest for a little bit so that I can regain my strength. After all, I need all the strength that I can get in order to go to Hotlands, and figure out the cause of this mess."

Chara than spoke out to Samael.

"Hotlands...do you have any idea how dangerous Hotlands is?"

Samael shook his head, no, as Chara than spoke out.

"Hotlands is dangerous, due to the fact that there is literally lava below you, and while there are not as much monsters as there are in the Waterfalls and the Ruins and all that, and even admittedly that this place is close to being extinct, there are very few and powerful monsters there. And I am not referring to Muffet or the Amalgamates."

This made Samael confused, as he spoke out.

"Amalgamates?"

Chara than spoke out.

"The fused monsters that Napstablook mentioned back there, these are known as Amalgamates. They are monsters that have been fused together, due to being injected with too much determination. But I am getting off topic there. These are not the only ones that are going to be trouble for you. There is also another monster that is present there, inside of Hotlands, that can create whatever he wants to create."

Samael than spoke out.

"All the more reason to go there, in order to increase my LV. If I am gonna stand a chance against the one that has caused this, than I am gonna need to find a way to increase my LV as much as I can. Also, do you know of anyway that I can go through Hotlands?"

Chara looks down and sighed a little bit, before she than spoke out.

"There are a few ways to go and transverse through Hotlands. One is through elevator, second is through conveyer belts, and the last one is through...uhhh...there are machines that themselves vents, but they use steam in order to rocket someone to a direct that allows them to go to the other side. However, this is a dangerous thing to do, because if you miss, we'll, than you will end up falling into the lava and be killed grisly by being burned and drowned in molten rock."

Samael than spoke out sarcastically.

"Well, that oughta be fun."

As Samael and Napstablook continue forward, they than went into what appears to be a dark tunnel, as they continue to go forward as much as they can. As they went forward, Napstablook said.

"Oooooohhh...we're here."

Samael and Chara stopped, as Samael went to the other side, and he is shocked at what he is seeing before his very eyes.

(Ends at 2:21)

Standing before his eyes, is a city, inside of a mountain! But how is this possible?! That mountain should not be able to hold a city such as this, and yet, somehow, this mountain certainly has that. And there are signs all over the place. The signs are of different languages, mostly from Japanese. This made Samael confused, as Chara than spoke out to Samael, sarcastically.

"Seems like this ought to be a city that Alphys would really like to be in. I wonder how she would think of this place, had she decided to visit it."

Samael did not answer, as he looked up, and spoke out.

"Woah, this is actually pretty cool. Have you been to this place before?"

Napstablook nodded his head, as he spoke out.

"Ooooohhh...I have. And it is such a very pleasant experience for me to do it, for me to be able to have people that are so kind to me, people that are always encouraging me to always do the best that I can. It was such a fun times, I remember it like it was yesterday. And I really miss those times."

Samael nodded, as he spoke out to Napstablook.

"Thank you for taking me to this place. It's what I need in order to recover my strength."

Napstablook nodded his head, as he than spoke out.

"Your welcome. Oooooooohhhhhhhhhh..."

Napstablook than suddenly vanished, like the wind bend around him and he was nothing but a hologram. Samael sighed, as he than turned around and look up at the many different buildings all over the place, and he began to walk around. Luckily, there is a light source, or rather, multiple light sources, as the raindrops continue to fall down from above. Samael puts on his hood, as he walks through the rainy city, and man, it sure is raining hard. But Samael does not even pay attention to it, as he continues to go through it.

The Moth flied inside and into Samael's head, as Chars peaked out from beneath hood, as Samael's face, or rather, his eyes, are covered in shadows, as Samael than walked towards a building, and saw that, it is what seems to be a type of hotel. Samael pumped his fist for a little bit, before he than opens the door, and enters the Hotel. Samael walked around the area for a little bit, before he than found a SAVE Point. Samael sighed. He doesn't want to keep on using this, but he knows that it is necessary to use it to keep on continue this. So he touches the SAVE Point, and it grew a flower with a single eye, as Samael walked away, and entered a room. When he entered a room, Samael closed the door, and puts his stuff onto a chair, before he than goes to a bed. Making sure that it is safe, and in fact, making sure that there is no dead body there, he searched everywhere, and saw nothing. It's all clear. Samael sighed, as he than spoke out.

"Whelp. Better catch some rest."

Samael than took off his coat, and hanged it onto the doorknob, Chara flies off of Samael's head, as Samael than went to the bed, and he pulls the covers over him. It is so amazing that he is able to stay awake for such a long period of time, and yet, he is already getting this sleepy. Seems like having to wake up because of the Ragel fellow having done this to him must have wasted all of his energy. But regardless, Samael turned off the lights, and goes to sleep, in order to try and rest as much as he can. But even though he can rest and recover, he will forever hear the voices of the Hunger, as it tries with all of his might to force Samael.

"Do not resist us."

"It will be pure bliss, to eat all that you want."

Join the madness, become one with the Corruption.

You cannot escape your fate.

Just accept the inevitable."

But Samael refused to accept that as an inevitable, as he continues to sleep, and ignore the voices, and he does all he can to regain his strength. But due to Samael's fear of sleep, he tends to wake up when the dream begins, and will go to sleep again, with the Hunger forever denying any opportunity to controlling Samael's vulnerable mind. He can feel some black tears coming out of his eyes, but he does not pay attention to it, as he does all he can to get some rest, and try all he can to regain his strength. No matter how tough it may be...he will not give in. He must not give in.

Chara watched, as she sees Samael's facing, crying corrupted magic, with a sad and pained expression on his face. She remembered making a face like that. That face was when she usually had nightmares of what happened to her in the surface world. Except that...unlike Samael, she had Asriel with her, her adopted brother. But Samael, he has no one. He is alone in this case. She almost felt sad, but she does not feel pity for Samael, for he is simply a means to an end, and one way or another, he will be forced to bow to her demands, and allow Chara to take over. And when she does take over Samael's body, she will make sure that the monsters feel her own MERCY.

Later...

Samael...he has no idea how long it has been for him when he slept. But when he slept, he feels like he is now able to return to full strength, all of his energy replenishes. Not only that, but he also discovered a noticeable thing of when he slept in the bed that he was on. When he woke up, after he checked his HP, he saw that it had increased past the limit for some unknown reason. His HP was 244, due to having his LV Increase to 12. But now, it is at an HP of 260! How did this happen? Well, he can't think about it now. He needs to keep on moving. Besides, it'll be useful for him.

When Samael woke up, he ate his last cookable meal, and it was able to push the Hunger back, making him feel like he is almost at his usual, uninfected self again. But unfortunately, that was the last one. All he has left are some protein bars, and they are not going to last forever. Samael than began to walk out of the city, until it is gone from his sight. He kept on walking and walking and walking, as Samael refuses to stop, and he does all he can to find a way for him to escape the Waterfalls. But as he kept on moving, Chara than appeared next to Samael and spoke out.

"Had some sweet dreams, I assume?"

Samael than looks at Chara and spoke out.

"What dreams are there in being sweet if we are in the middle of an infected battle zone?"

Chara than spoke out to Samael in a rather insulting tone of her own.

"Alright then, let me ask a better question. Did you have any tainted dreams, I assume?"

Samael shook his head, as he spoke out.

"No, because whenever I start to dream of what I was about to dream, I always wake myself up, like someone has just pulled me out of the dream that I was in. Guess it must be a good thing for me to do it."

Chara than spoke out.

"That is if you can call this a good thing."

Samael shrugged his shoulders, not having an answer to what she had spoken out to her. But as Samael kept on moving, he than flinched, as he than saw a Temmie. No, scratch that, a horde of Temmies. Not wanting to be seen, he immediately hid behind a rock, as he looks to see that the Temmies are looking around. Samael, does not know what to do, as he stepped next to a rock. But as he did...the rock beside him...moved. This made Samael surprised, as he turned around, and when he did...he saw that behind him, is an entrance. Thanking quickly. Samael snuck inside of the entrance, and closed the rock behind him, as he made sure that the corrupted mist does not get in. As he did that, Samael noticed a light at the end of the tunnel. He looked confused, but took the chance, as he than went to the tiebreaker side of the tunnel, and when he went to the other side...what he saw stunned him.

Inside this secret place...is a field of grass and trees, like the ones on Earth, and on the trees...are crabapples. Samael was stunned at the sight before him. He never thought that there was gonna be a crabapple farm of sorts, especially inside of the Underground of all the places to be in. This made Samael surprised, as Chara spoke out.

"That hat...that's Gerson's hat!"

This made Samael surprised, as Samael spoke out.

"You know of this place, as well as the person who owns that hat?"

Chara nodded, as she spoke out.

"I do know of him. He was an old tortoise monster. And it looks like he died there, with his precious apples, in whatever change he found them."

Samael looked confused, as he than took a Crabapple, and ate it. Surprisingly, it tasted very good for him, and he can feel the Hunger being pushed back even more than before. Thinking he needs this, he decided to do something about it. He takes out his backpack, and he began to put in as many Crabapples inside of the backpack as he can, before he then closed his backpack and walk away. But before he can, Chara spoke out.

"Hold it Samael, there is a weapon that you can take."

This made Samael confused, as he than follows Chara's moth, and saw an axe. Samael was surprised, he than spoke out.

"I already have a sword. I don't need an axe."

Chars than spoke out.

"Maybe not now. But your sword is not going to last forever, and it will be broken or lost sooner or later. So take it."

Samael looks down at the axe on the ground, and he sighed, before he then reaches down, and takes the axe, before he adds it to his inventory, before he than walks away, and he goes out of the rock. Seeing the coast is clear, he walks outside, and goes elsewhere. But what he does not know, is that a certain skeleton and childhood friend of his was watching, and they are going to be exploring the cave to collect Crabapples.
