It's Good Friday!

A day or great sorrow, and yet great beauty. The day that our Lord laid down His life for our sake.

I think sometimes we can forgot the magnitude of His sacrifice because we've heard the story so many times.

Jesus Christ, God on earth, humbled Himself, took on our human flesh. He felt the weight of all our sin, though He was the most innocent man who ever lived and will ever live.

He died, knowing that we would still sin. He knew we would turn our backs yet by His death on the cross, we have the chance to turn back to Him. He doesn't give up on us! He loves us so much, that He continues to be with us. He helps us in this journey of life and offers us eternity with Him!

He truly emptied Himself. Today is the day Jesus felt the weight of all evil come down on Him. On this good Friday, we can also learn to unite our sufferings with those of Jesus.

If there's one thing I've learned, trials really do have a funny way of making you stronger. That's truly God molding us. Since we're in a fallen world where nothing's perfect God knew we would have to suffer but He didn't want us hurting for nothing. So He incorporates hurt into something greater that we really, really can't see when we're going through tough stuff. It's just hard to see past how much it hurts. So, give it all to Jesus and remember that the greatest trial He ever endured, did not end in sorrow with His death, but rather, was turned to joy in His resurrection!
