Footsteps. That's all he could hear. A normal person would be happy when they'd be in his situation, being locked away from civilization, but he wasn't. He already knew what would happen.
Hugging his knees tighter, he pressed his body against the wall. Everyday the same torture. Always being forced to take pills he didn't need, having a strange liquid injected into him and having to listen to binaural beats, who were supposed to calm him, but only caused bad headaches.
The door opened and a voice said "The Doctor will see you now!" The young skeleton didn't even bother to look up, when the doctor came in.
"How are you today?" She asked. Silence. "Unchanged, I see. We will do the same procedure as always then!" She smiled and two guards began to keep the young skeleton in place, even if he didn't bother to struggle.
"Don't be afraid, you would make things worse!" The doctor giggled as she placed headphones on his head and began to play the binaural beats.
The assistant, that opened the door, brought her a pill, a glass of water and an injector. She took the pill and the glass of water, forcing it down the skeletons 'throat'. Then she grabbed the injector and placed onto his arm. She waited for a second, but injected the purple liquid quickly after that.
First nothing unusual seemed to happen, but then the skeleton began to feel sick and threw up. The doctor laughed in succeed, while the two guards let go of him, taking the headphones off of him. He breathed heavily, before throwing up again.
"We have another success! Bring him to the others!" The doctor cheered, walking out of the room, followed by her assistant. The guards pulled the skeleton out of his cell, not caring that he was still puking.
After he stopped throwing up, he slightly began look around, careful not to puke again. It was the first time he saw something outside of his cell, so he eyed his surroundings curiously. They were in a long, dark hallway, with a lot of other cells, wich probably had other test objects in them. The two guards practically carried the small skeleton down the hallway, turned right and opened a door.
They threw him into the room and closed it again. He fell to the ground, with his face ahead. "Are you okay?" A voice asked. The small skeleton looked up to see a red ghost floating in front of him. The ghost had four eyes, two of them covered by hair.
He nodded and tried to stand up, but fell onto his knees and began to puke again. The ghost quickly reacted and let a bucket fly to him, wich he gladly took.
"Oh great, now we have puke on the floor." Another voice muttered. It was a skeleton, with sharp teeth and red eyes. "Heh, says the one, that threw up worse than him." A skeleton, with a cocky attitude and blue eyes, laughed. The one with sharp teeth gave him a death glare.
"Stop arguing, you two!" The ghost sighed, and asked the newcomer. "Do you have a name?" The skeleton hesitated at first but then whispered "L-1..." The ghost seemed a bit shocked, but quickly began to introduce everyone.
"Okay, Hi I'm E-5. That idiot that complained about your puking is W-7." "Actually my name is-" W-7 was cut of by E-5 continuing his introduction and shooting a glare at him. "The other skeleton you already heard is P-3." He turned around and pointed with his small arms at three figures in the background. "The tall, sleeping skeleton is S-4, the humanoid spiderlady is G-6 and the humanlike creature is G-2."
L-1 looked confused when he eyed G-2. He looked exactly like a human teen would do, with the difference, that his pupils were red, while the rest of his eyes were completely black. "W-what..." L-1 spoke silently. "We don't know what he is, but definitely not a human, he has a monster soul." The ghost explained, already knowing what he was going to say.
L-1 nodded slightly. "Do you feel better now?" E-5 asked. The skeleton shrugged and slowly raised from the ground, dragging its body to a nearby bed. "Hey are you a boy or a girl?" The spider lady or G-6 asked from the chair she was sitting on. Her yellow eyes seemed to shine in the darkness.
"Boy..." was the only answer she got. "Oh c'mon! Am I really the only girl in here?!" G-6 yelled. "Seems like it." G-2 stated, not even looking at her.
E-5 sighed and brought L-1 his bucket. "I think it's the best if you sleep for now, it always helps." The small skeleton nodded a bit and snuggled into the bed.
It was a strange feeling for him, to sleep in something so comfortable. In his old cell he always slept on the ground, since he didn't had anything better. He soon fell asleep.
"Can you tell us why you didn't tell him our real names?" W-7 asked. "Yeah, you see, he doesn't know what a real name is." E-5 explained. "What?! Wait, how are you supposed to know that? You barely met him!" The skeleton with the sharp teeth exclaimed confused.
"Some guards talked about him when most of you weren't here. They found him as a baby in a street, he was alone, so they took him in as another test object." A voice from a bed explained. It was the tall, seemingly sleeping skeleton, S-4. "Oh you were awake?" E-5 giggled. "Yup, the whole time." Was the reply.
"So he never saw the outside world before? Damn, that's sad." W-7 said, looking at L-1, who moved in his sleep. "Heck, he probably never saw anything else then his cell." It was silent after the red eyed skeletons statement.
Suddenly a loud ringing erupted. It woke up L-1, who had wide eyes in fear. "Don't worry that's just the alarm!" E-5 tried to calm him, but he still panicked. He pressed himself against the wall, hugging his knees tightly.
The ghost hovered next to him and comforted him, the others joined soon, only G-2 and G-6 stayed at their place. G-6 didn't care about it, while G-2 wasn't very emotional, so he didn't know what the skeletons problem was.
L-1 soon calmed down and smiled slightly, even though the alarm bell was still ringing. "N-normal?" He asked quietly. "Well, they check the whole alarm system once a week but they already did it yesterday, so it could be that someone actually was able to escape their cell." S-4 explained leaning against the wall.
"Didn't you hear anything in your room?" P-3 asked. L-1 shook his head. "Only... strange... music... and... footsteps..." "That's Interesting." P-3 said.
"Hey L-1, I heard you never saw the outside world before!" W-7 chuckled. "Wanna see it?" L-1's purple eyes seemed to glow, when he nodded. "Are you really trying to break out again? You know that this is a special cell!" E-5 exclaimed. "Yeah, but maybe if we all work together, we can break this goddamn door!"
"I think we should try it!" G-6 said, while G-2 nodded in agreement. "Yeah! I'm sick of this cell and these experiments!" P-3 agreed. "You guys..." E-5 sighed. "Okay, I'll try to help you. What about you S-4?" "I'm in too, I guess."
"Nice!" W-7 chuckled. Suddenly a red aura appeared around his body and he began to punch against the door. P-3 rolled his eyes, summoning sharp bone attacks and letting them hit the door as well.
On G-2's back, a pair of wings and two tentacles began to grow, as he came closer to the door. He also had horns on his head now. He slammed his tentacles against the door, while he spider lady summoned two huge hands and let them punch the door.
Next to the ghost, a few chainsaws appeared and supported the others, while S-4 shrugged and fired weird looking blasters at the door. L-1 watched from his bed, not knowing how he should help them.
He never learned how to use magic. At least not magic that could attack. Suddenly W-7 let out an agonized scream and you could hear the sound of creaking bones. Everyone stopped attacking the door and L-1 ran over to skeleton, quickly kneeling beside him.
"O-okay?" The smaller of them asked, pointing at the broken hand. "Yeah it's nothin." W-7 lied and was about to stand up again, but L-1 shook his head, pulling him on his arm down. He held his hand above W-7's wounded one and a green light appeared for a second.
"Wait, you can heal?" P-3 asked. L-1 nodded, and smiled a bit embarrassed. "That's good! It'll be very helpful!" The ghost cheered. L-1 smiled, knowing that he was useful for once. "Okay, let's continue this!" The now healed skeleton exclaimed determined, summoning his aura again.
He was about to hit the door again, when it suddenly was ripped out of its ankles. "What the fuck?!" W-7 exclaimed in surprise. While the others were too busy with discussing how this was possible, L-1 noticed something moving in the darkness.
A cyan eye, that belonged to a dark figure, stared at the group from the shadows. G-2 and G-6 seemed realize it too. The young spider woman carefully made a step out of their cell, eyeing the hall in front of her carefully.
"G-guys..." L-1 stuttered, trying to get the others attention. Only S-4 seemed to take note of him and since the other three were still arguing, he cleared his throat. This finally caught their attention and they looked at him a bit confused.
"Sorry to interrupt ya guys, but it seems that L-1 wants to show us somethin." He explained looking at the much smaller skeleton with a cheery smile. L-1 nodded hesitantly and pointed at the dark figure.
The three skeletons and the ghost stared in shock and slight fear. "You owe me somethin'" The unknown person chuckled, before fading completely into the darkness.
"What- who was that?" E-5 asked, fear clearly in his voice. "It was probably a skeleton." G-6 answered, moving her body completely out of the room. "Probably?" S-4 replied. "He was covered in some kind of black slime." G-2 informed the others, following the spider out of the room.
The rest was slowly following G-2 and G-6, trying to look through the darkness. "Why does it have to be so freaking dark in here?" W-7 murmured. "Scared?" P-3 asked in a mocking tone.
"I'm not!" W-7 yelled, denying that he was clearly shaking. "Quit it you two! We could get caught if you don't stop shouting!" G-6 hissed, smacking the two skeletons on their heads. The two shot a glare at the young spider, but kept their mouths shut.
The group slowly made their way through the hallways, having G-6 leading the way, while G-2 watched that no one went missing. Suddenly an agonized scream interrupted the sickening silence.
L-1 and E-5 jumped slightly, while G-2, G-6 and S-4 stayed calm. P-3 and W-7 however, let out a screech, W-7 even began to clench onto S-4's arm. "Calm down you two." G-6 said, not caring about their emotional state at all.
P-3 only 'tsked', while W-7 began to panic. "I AM FREAKING CALM!" "Chill dude." The taller skeleton said, trying to calm the smaller one by patting his head gently, which seemed to work.
After W-7 calmed down, the group continued walking down the corridor in a steady pace. Even though, the humanoid spider didn't knew the building at all, she somehow managed to get everyone to the entrance. They left it quickly, not wanting to be stuck in this hell for any longer.
Only L-1 hesitated a bit, when he saw the dark forest that surrounded the establishment. He slowly placed his bare foot onto the soft grass in front of him. The cold air hit him, when he was fully outside.
He shivered slightly, since the only thing he ever got to wear was a big tank top, that barely covered his legs. L-1 walked a bit, liking the feeling of the grass tickling his feet. He smiled and took a deep breath, stretching a bit.
"So, How is the outside world so far?" W-7 asked, smiling sympathetically. "Amazing!" L-1 cheered without stuttering, wich surprised everyone quite a bit.
"What are we going to do now?" The sharp teethed skeleton wanted to know. "I think we should go to the police and tell them what is going on here!" G-6 suggested. Everyone nodded in agreement, even though L-1 didn't quite get it.
"Wait! Since we're going into a town, I think we should tell the newest member of the group our real names!" E-5 suddenly exclaimed. L-1 tilted his head. "Real name?" "Yeah, you see, the name these 'doctors' gave your isn't a real name it's more like a code... or something like that..." the red ghost tried to explain.
"I have an idea, how about we give you a real name too! Would you like that?" S-4 asked looking into the smaller skeletons eyes, who immediately nodded excited.
"Heh, do whatever you want, we're already heading to the city!" P-3 said, rather annoyed and went deeper into the forest followed by G-2 and G-6. W-7 'tsked' and spat "Do you even know where the city is?" This made the other skeleton stop walking. He mumbled a few curses and came back to the four people that stayed.

Location: unknown
Time and date: unknown
The shadow of a huge mountain covered the whole area with darkness. The sky was starless, not even the moon was showing. But was it even a sky? And a mountain? Was all of that even real? The ruins over there and the cave, were they real? Or just an illusion?
Confused and terrified, a figure inspected their surroundings closer, although they barely saw anything with their dull purple eyes, in this obscurity. The figures body were made of dried thorns and petals, that flew around their body. They looked as if they've never seen something like water before.
Suddenly something grabbed them from behind and began to drag them towards the cave into even more darkness. The figure tried to struggle out of it, in spite of them already being exhausted.
But in the end it only made them more tired, than they already were. As soon as they passed the entrance of the cave, they fell completely limb.
Their eyes slowly began to close, but all of the sudden something cut the chains into small pieces, which scattered onto the floor. After the being fell to the ground, they looked at their savior with a thankful smile.
Their savior was a red, glowing ghostlike creature, with a tail and fin-like ears. The red, much taller being held one of his claws in front of the withered creature to help them up. The smaller one took it happily and was pulled into a tight embrace. They were confused first, but soon returned the hug. The thorns didn't seem to bother the red creature, they only hugged the smaller one tighter.
After they pulled away from each other, the withered one tilted their head, when their savior walked towards the entrance and waved to tell them that he's supposed to follow them. The thorny being obeyed and curiously went back outside, where five other creatures waited.
