Dragon Hill
"What a great day! Let's go after that Werehound Brute!" Gingerbrave said. "But the bridge is still in ruins..." Strawberry Cookie remined. "That's right! What are we waiting for?! Let's rebuild it!" Gingerbrave exclaimed. "I'll go get supplies." I said before beckoning Taffeta to follow.

We made it back to the broken bridge and finished repairing it. "We've rebuilt the bridge! After the Werehound Brute! Yeehaw!" Gingerbrave said before running across the bridge and charged into unknown territory of the Gloomy Forest. "Let's hurry." Wizard Cookie said as we ran after him. "This place... looks darker..." Strawberry Cookie whimpered. "It's time for your king to step up! Here I come!" Custard Cookie said.
As we followed along the path, we fought Jelly and Cake Monsters. That's when Wizard Cookie spoke up. "Do you smell that? A sweet, rather strong aroma." Wizard Cookie quired. "Must be Bear Jellies..." Strawberry Cookie said. "Let's follow the smell!" Gingerbrave suggested. We continued along the path, that was until there was no more path. "Oh... Such a big lily flower glade...!" Strawberry Cookie said. "This must be the source of the aroma!" Wizard Cookie concluded.
We walked forward until we came across a cookie. "Huh! A Cookie!" Gingerbrave yelped. "Who... are you?" The Cookie asked. "I'm Gingerbrave! And these are my friends! What's your name?" Gingerbrave introduced before asking back. "My name is... my name... I-I don't think I remember..." The stranger muttered. "You don't remember? Well, let us help you." I said, holding my hand out.
As she was about to grab my hand, she disappeared. "Huh? She's gone! Am I seeing things?" Gingerbrave asked. "We all must have seen the same 'things'. Yet, I have a feeling that we will meet again..." Wizard Cookie said. I shook my head, regaining focus. "It doesn't matter, we should continue along. Let's go." I said.
We continued to follow the path, and after we fought some monsters, we found something in the ground. "I found a huge rock!" Custard Cookie cheered. "Polished and smooth... Looks familiar for some reason...!" Strawberry Cookie said. "Hm, it doesn't seem to be just a rock. It might prove useful later. We'd better keep it!" Wizard Cookie said as Taffeta grabbed it with her mouth, ran over and handed it to me. "Thank you, sweetie." I said, taking it out of her mouth and putting it in my satchel, rewarding her with head pats.
We continued on before we found another just like the previous. "Another stupid rock! Where all the real treasure at, huh?!" Chili Pepper Cookie asked. "Wish we knew what it is! Let's take this one too." Gingerbrave said, picking it up and handing it to me, and I exchanged it with some Star Jellies. We started walking, and it wasn't long before we ran into another one. "Oh, another rock! It's like a treasure hunt. So exciting!" Custard Cookie cheered, rushing over to pick it up and ran back and handed it to me. I can tell what this was about, and gave him both Star Jellies and head pats.
We continued on, and that's when Gingerbrave spoke up. "Hey, you know what... Do you remember the reason we left the Kingdom and began fighting in the woods?" He asked. "To relieve the Cake Monsters from their valuables, of course! Mhe he..." Chili Pepper giggled. "Chili Pepper, they don't have any pockets." I remined. "What are you saying! To prove how great a single king can be! Me!" Custard Cookie stated. "Um... there was a Cake Hound..." Strawberry Cookie muttered. "What are you all talking about? Of course, we are going after the Werehound Brute!" Wizard Cookie reminded. "Whoah! I knew you were smart, but not THAT smart! After the Brute! Let's go!" Gingerbrave urged, continuing along the road.
"Whoah! Look at that! It's a sculpture!" Custard Cookie exclaimed. "Do you know what a 'sculpture' is? Only the greatest warriors, heroes, or Cookies like myself get one!" He continued, innocently boasting. "And what makes you one of 'the greatest', I wonder..." Wizard Cookie said, causing me to elbow him. "Without a doubt, a good king such as yourself will probably get the best detailed, biggest, greatest sculpture of all." I said, kneeling down to his height and wrapping an arm around his shoulders. "Yes! And I'd like to have a closer look!" Custard Cookie said.
"Oh? Huh? It's all crumbled..." Custard Cookie said in a shocked tone. "Looks like it's damaged beyond recognition..." Strawberry Cookie said. "Aha! I believe all these fragments we've picked up earlier belong to this very statue!" Wizard Cookie concluded. "Maybe if we attach them back in place, we will restore the statue's initial appearance!" I suggested. "Exactly, Y/n." Wizard Cookie said.
I pulled out the pieces one by one, had Taffeta lick the seams so then they could stick together, and finally... we finished it, easy-Peezy lemon-squeezy! "The sculpture has been restored!" Wizard Cookie said. "This Cookie definitely had majestic looks!" Custard Cookie stated. "Huh! It kinda looks like me, don't you think?!" Gingerbrave pointed out. "Yeah... I can see it, but the difference is that it doesn't have that hair piece and is wielding a sword instead of a cane." I said.
"Look here! There're words carved onto the pedestal! ...unknown Cookie... defeated the dragon... were saved... known by the name of 'the little giant'..." Wizard Cookie read aloud the words as best as he could. "So, this valiant Cookie defeated a monstrous dragon in the legendary past!" Custard Cookie exclaimed. "Just look at this! Our faces look alike... and the pose, the pose!" Gingerbrave said, mimicking it's statue's position.
"Cookies of the past must have been amazing... All these Kingdoms and dragon slayers..." Strawberry Cookie said. "Yeah, yeah. Everyone forgot them! Not amazin' enough to be remembered, huh..." Chili Pepper Cookie said, crossing her arms. "Well, we can try to remember what we can. Now we have established that they fought dragons and even were strong enough to defeat one of them!" Wizard Cookie said.
"We shouldn't forget about ourselves." Gingerbrave said. "Let's go; after all, we must defeat the Werehound and rescue the Bear Jellies!" Wizard Cookie said.
We continued along, that is until we met up with a rather small familiar face. "You again!" Jelly Wormy shouted in shock. "Haven't I warned you? Flee!" It shouted. "Hah! There's nothing scary about you!" Custard Cookie laughed. "Hmpf! You will regret neglecting me!" Jelly Wormy exclaimed. "Actually, the word your looking for is mocking. Not neglecting." I corrected. "Just you wait! My friends promised to make me into a dragon! Now I must retire to carry on with my preparations! Farewell!" Jelly Wormy manically laughed before dashing away and into the bushes.
"What an annoying Jelly Worm..." Chili Pepper scoffed.
We ran into more monsters and fought them we did, but when we did, we met up with the stranger again. "ACK! Don't you dare creep up on me like that again!" Chili Pepper shouted, holding out her daggers. "Chili Pepper Cookie doesn't seem like herself in front of that Cookie..." Strawberry Cookie said. "Right. Can't you just keep being yourself?" Wizard Cookie asked. "My-Myself? THEN HAND OVER YOUR VALUABLES, NOW!" Chili Pepper Cookie threatened. "And I already regretting you saying that, Wizard." I said.
"It's nice to see such a lively company. I've recalled my name, by the way. It's White Lily Cookie." She said. "Whoah! So, all your memories are back?" Gingerbrave asked. "No, not yet... I've been wandering through this forest, seeking for the fragments but I'm not quite done yet." White Lily Cookie said. "The whole forest? Perhaps, you can help us." Wizard Cookie asked.
"We're after a big Choco Werehound Brute with a hammer." Wizard Cookie said. "A hammer...? I remember them. They've just passed this area." White Lily Cookie recalled. "Really? Thanks! You have a good memory, White Lily Cookie! It would be great if we became friends!" Gingerbrave said. "I'm sorry... I think I must spend some more time alone. Until we meet again!" She said. And then... she vanished.
We walked along the path once more, until Chili Pepper Cookie spoke up in impatience. "Choco Werehound Brute! Where are you-u-u?" She called out. "Hm, where did they go..." She hummed. "Huh! Those Cake Monsters... Looks like they've learned a new trick!" Wizard Cookie said. "Look out!" Gingerbrave warned. This battle was a very hard one, but we managed to get by.
We then later met up with White Lily Cookie once more. "Look here. Isn't it beautiful? A fallen dragon's carcass has become one with the soil in grass..." She said, and she was right. It was a giant dragon skull with moss and other plant growing in and all over it, and it was in this big lake with clear, crystal, sparkling blue water. "Have you found your memories?" Gingerbrave asked. "No... But I don't think I'll ever stop my wandering. After all, this world is full of curiosities! What do you think will happen if I enter the waters of this lake?" She asked.
I hummed in thought before Gingerbrave shouted out in distress. "No, you can't! Cookies get all soggy in water!" He shouted. "Oh... right." I quietly hissed, mentally scolding myself for forgetting something as obvious as that; I mean, I read the Gingerbread story after all. STUPID ME!! "Hmm, she's like an unknowing child..." Wizard Cookie hummed.
"I want to know more about our world. I might even discover another kingdom..." She said. "Then come with us!" Gingerbrave suggested. "... But I'm afraid my fragrance will make you uncomfortable..." She informed. "No problem! All Cookies might be different, but we're all friends!" Gingerbrave happily retaliated. "Then I... May I join you? This way, I'll be able to learn more." She said. "Of course you can come, White Lily! The more, the better." I said. "Yes! Now we're friends with White Lily Cookie! Hooray!" Gingerbrave cheered.
"I like the solid ground! So solid, perfect for jumping!" Custard Cookie said, jumping up and down on the ground. "This must be dragon bone, Custard Cookie the Third..." Strawberry Cookie muttered. "What? Dragon bone?!" The young prince asked, yelping in shock. "Well, technically, it's actually the vertebrae because that part of the body can deteriorate which is why archeologists don't usually find it with the solid bones. And they're bendable and not as hard." I informed. "This dragon was as big as this whole forest! If we keep following the bones, we'll see where the forest ends!" Gingerbrave suggested. "I'm down. Let's go." I said, leading the group down the path.
The path ended and in it's place was the dragon's spine and walked across it to avoid the water around us. What made it even more difficult was that there was Jelly Worms and Jelly Frogs. We then came across and weird creature that I remember seeing with that mysterious Cookie when they were in the castle. "Stop right there! You shall go no furrrther!" He said. "You're not Gandolf from Lord of the Rings!" I stated, cupping my free hand next to my mouth so it can be loud enough to hear.
"Wha- Who's Gandol-" "And who might you be?" Gingerbrave asked in an accusatory tone. "Bat-Cat! My meowster orrrdered me to stop your advance!" He informed. "You're with the Cake Monsters! You kidnapped the Bear Jellies and stole their royal jelly!" Gingerbrave stated. "And what will you do? Think you, Cookies, can stop us? How ameowsing!" Bat-Cat mocked. "...Okay, does anybody have a gun on their person? A pistol? A magical bazooka? A nuke? Anything quick and easy?" I quietly asked. "Get them! MEOOW!" Bat-Cat ordered to the two Jelly Worms and Frogs.
This battle ended quite quick and easily than I thought it would be, but Bat-Cat flew away. And when we made it to the end of the spine area, we met up with him again. "Meow-he-he! We're not done herrre yet!" He deviously chuckled. "What's so funny?!" Chili Pepper demanded. "Soon enough, you will see! Our crrreation, made with the finest Bear Jellies!" Bat-Cat stated. "More like Bear Jellies that will make Gordan Ramzey have a stroke in a fit of rage." I muttered.
"LEGENDARY DRAGON!" A familiar voice spoke up, Jelly Wormy. "Huh?" Gingerbrave questioned in confusion. "Gya-ha-ha! My wish came true! I AM A DRAGON!" Jelly Berry laughed. "You called me a tiny Jelly Worm! Now witness the dragon's wrath!" Jelly Wormy added. "You're still pretty small though!" Gingerbrave stated. "Ack! I forgot to transform!" Jelly Wormy exclaimed in realization.
They went into the ground, and that's when the ground began to shake, and popped out Jelly Wormy, but bigger, more spikes, and jelly wings, roaring. "Uh-oh, now he's big!" Gingerbrave yelped. "Y/n... even though it hasn't even been a week since we gotten to know each other, but I know what you're going to say, and the answer is still, and always will be, no; you're not keeping it as another pet. One is already enough." Wizard Cookie sighed. "But I want them!" I whined, making little grabby hands at the newly transformed monster.
Jelly Wormy let out a thunderous laugh. "Leave no crumbs!" They ordered, and then the battle began.
(Time-skip)
When we defeated Dragon version of Jelly Wormy, they let out a few coughs before returning back to their small size. "What happened?! I was a dragon...!" They whined.
"No! You fools! He was supposed to be our weapon!" The mysterious Cookie shouted in a fit of anger and defeat. "Hey you, rags! Are you the boss here?" Gingerbrave asked in a demanding tone. "'Rags'? 'RAGS'?! And you... you're not even dressed!" The mysterious Cookie retaliated. "We try not to focus on that..." I muttered. "You done?" Gingerbrave questioned. "I'm Rag... No, Licorice Cookie! My mission is to find the treasures from the legends! You might have won this time, little Cookies and traitorous Cake Hound! -" "*Gasps* YOU TAKE THAT BACK, YOU EMO LOOKIN' RAGEDY ANNE KNOCKOFF!" I shouted, covering where Taffeta's ears would be, which is the strawberries on top of her head.
"Anyways... I bid you farewell!" Licorice Cookie said before he and the others disappeared, leaving Jelly Wormy behind. "Waaah... They promised to turn me into a dragon!" They cried. "You can't... just become strong. It takes hard, consistent work..." Strawberry Cookie started. "And working smart as well. This experience goes to show to never trust strangers promising you power that pretty much doesn't even last long." I added. "But they promised me... Told me I'll get big wings to soar in the sky!" Jelly Wormy continued. "Cake Monsters, minus Taffeta, are not friends! They simply used you!" Gingerbrave stated. " This experience goes to show to never trust strangers promising you power that pretty much doesn't even last long." I added.
"I-I think you're right... Sorry..." Jelly Wormy said in a quiet, regretful tone. "It's okay, we forgive you. Most of us anyway. But, hey, at least you got to live your dream, even if it was only for a few minutes." I said, muttering the second sentence under my breath as I glanced at two certain Cookies. "Y-Yeah! I'm happy to have become a dragon just for a short time! I have to tell the others! Gya-ha!" Jelly Wormy laughed before dashing somewhere into the woods. "That... didn't last for long." Wizard Cookie muttered.
"I've conducted some research into the history of this Cookie Kingdom and its surroundings." Wizard Cookie quickly informed. "And that's Wizard Cookie who didn't believe it was a kingdom once! Look how serious you're now! Hehe." Gingerbrave chuckled.
"Right... I only pursue scientific fact which, my friends, is built on evidence and proof. Anyhow, here's what I found... It seems like this wasn't the only Cookie Kingdom. Ancient Cookie civilizations-built kingdoms large and small across the entire continent! And what's the most surprising is that there used to be one of the most thriving kingdoms not far from here!" Wizard Cookie explained. "Oh, really...?" Strawberry Cookie questioned. "We must find this kingdom! What if there're other Cookies?!" Gingerbrave suggested. "Then what are we waiting for?! Adventure awaits!" I exclaimed, picking Taffeta in my arm and ran down the path with the others quickly following behind.
