A/N~ So I looked back at the other Law part and was like "the hell were you thinking the pacing on this is all off" so I tried to think of ways to fix it  but instead had a EUREKA! moment when I woke up from a dream where time was just as off as the fic. So I in my "its 12:40 am and I can't fucking sleep state" decided to expand it and here is the result. also the song in here is When You Say Nothing At All by Alison Krauss.~

Your eyes sprung open and in an instant you realized you had been dreaming. Course it was too good to be true. Going to the world of One Piece and meeting Trafalgar Law.  As if your luck was ever that good.

Sitting up slowly you looked around to see that you were in a hospital bed with an IV in your arm. Your other arm was sore and heavily bandaged.

So the weird getting eaten part hadn't been a dream.

At the moment you couldn't tell was time of day it was since there were no windows in the room. So grabbing the IV stand you got up, noting that you were wearing only a hospital gown, and started making your way to the door.

Once outside you gazed upon a steel hallway. Snoring could be heard further down and following your nose you headed toward what you presumed to be the kitchen.

Eventually you came to a door that was labeled 'Captain's Quarters' stopping for only a moment to read the sign before moving on toward the delicious smell. Once you found your intended destination you immediately went to raid the pantry only to find most of it was locked up. Pouting you turned to the counter and found an open package of rice crackers.

Taking a few with you, you went back down the hall to explore. Still munching on the crackers you found yourself in front of a set of double doors with a sign that read 'Surgery' above it. After finishing your crackers and washing your hands in a nearby sink (because you didn't to contaminate anything) you went inside.

Your eyes grew wide at the sight before you. Laying on two tables before you were none other than Luffy and Jinbe, all bandaged up like mummies. Cautiously you approached the rubber boy. He seemed to be having a nightmare. Not that you were surprised with what had happened to Ace.

As gently as possible you reached out and stroked his hair while humming a soft lullaby. After a while of this he calmed down and snored loudly, signaling that he was resting peacefully. Grinning slightly you sighed in relief.

But the moment you looked up you were met with a pair of silver eyes on a handsome face that was somewhat dazed, as though they couldn't believe what they just saw. You froze and a mix of fear, confusion and excitement flooded your head as your face turned cherry red. He backed up a little then came over to your side of the table before taking your hand and leading you out of the room.

He didn't say anything until you were both in the room where you had previously woken up. After you sat on the bed he came over and gently took out the IV.

"I'll ask you what I need to tomorrow, so lay down and go back to sleep." He commanded.

You just nodded your head and did as he said without question.

~a year later~

You had recently been in touch with (f/n). He apparently was hanging out with Franky while waiting for the deadline of the big get together for the Straw Hats. He told you that he couldn't wait until he could meet up with you and the Heart Pirates and you had to shush him before Law or Franky on the other end could hear him.

But right now you had a different problem to take care of. You had stolen Law's hat previously and in his attempts to get it back from you it had ripped along the edges. So now you were in your quarters where Law had locked you in trying to repair it as you teared up. You only wanted to tease him a little.

Getting it back to its original shape proved to be difficult so you decided to give it a bill like a ball cap. Ironically you had always wondered why he had switched hat styles in the anime. Now you had some kind of answer.

You thought of all the moments in Law's life this hat had probably witnessed. And it didn't take long for you to think of Corazon. A song that you thought would be perfect for the lovable giant klutz came to mind. Before you knew it you were softly singing to yourself as you worked.

At that moment Law hadn't cooled down too much. He had developed feelings, he didn't like to admit to, for you over the past year, which was why he hadn't punished you more harshly. And currently he was walking towards his quarters when a soft sound caught his attention.

Immediately his anger was overpowered by his curiosity as he leans against the door and listened.

The smile on your face let's me know that you need me

He found himself slightly entranced as he slowly proceeded to open the door and quietly stepped in. Your back was to him as you worked on his hat.

He wasn't sure why but something in the song brought up old memories of Corazon and it took all his strength just to keep from breaking down in tears.

The smile on your face let's me know that you need me

At the same time however they also made him think of you. You seemed to have an effect on him just with a simple look or touch. In that moment he couldn't deny what he felt for you anymore.

As you finished the hat and the song you suddenly jumped and Law panicked thinking that you had noticed him. But you didn't turn around and when he looked over your shoulder to see what you were doing in noticed you had pricked your finger. A small bead of blood had formed on your middle finger and you pouted.

You got up and turned around to find bandages only to find yourself face to face with your captain. Taking your hand he looked you straight in the eyes.

"Let me help with that." He said. Then he brought your hand to his mouth and started to suck on the injured finger. You instantly turned several shades of red. Gazing at your flustered state he smirked.

He then looked at your handy work on his hat before putting it on his head.

"Nice job. I kinda like it this way."

He crept in closer till he was barely an inch away from your face.

His smirk remained on his own.

"Though not nearly as much as I like you."

In less than a millisecond his lips were on yours. And it was the beginning of something totally new and great for the both of you.
