Trolls: The Beat Goes On! season six
These are my top ten favorite moments from Trolls: The Beat Goes On! season six.
#10 Freeze Tag (Blank Day)
Trolls are strange creatures. After saying goodbye to Branch's birds, he and Poppy return to find all the Trolls mysteriously frozen solid. Neither of them know what could've caused it, until Keith shows up. Turns out it was just a game of freeze tag. It was a rip-off, let's be honest, but it also raises questions, especially when Poppy does it herself later in the episode. Do the Trolls have some sort of magical properties? Hopefully, this'll be cleared up later on in the series.
#9 Out Of Control (The Partier's Apprentice)
Guy Diamond is the life of every party, but even he needs a day off. So, he decides to train the village florist, Meadow Spriggs, to be his apprentice. Despite her timid nature, she agrees, and ends up being perfect. In fact, she's even better than Guy. Afraid of the competition, he begins challenging her, much to Meadow's obliviousness. They accidentally end up working together to raise the party up to the point where it's out of control. At that moment, Guy Diamond realizes that he needed a partner more than an apprentice, and they head of to liven up the next soiree together.
#8 The Muck-Wallower (Glamping)
Branch is an expert on survival, but he doesn't have all the answers. During a camping trip, Branch, Poppy, and the kids get captured by a Muck-Wallower, a large creature who doesn't eat Trolls, but uses their hair as a brush to clean the mud off his fur. The campers realize that the Muck-Wallower wants to live in luxury, so Branch has Guy Diamond, unwillingly, sacrifice his glamour-camping gear so the Muck-Wallower could use it and leave the Trolls alone.
#7 Mystery Solving Spree (Chummy Sparklestone)
During a mystery party, Guy Diamond convinces Cooper to be in character as ace detective Chummy Sparklestone. Unfortunately, he gets a little too into character and spoils everyone's fun in the village. Having completely forgotten who he is, Chummy won't stop until every mystery is solved. So Poppy convinces him to solve the Case of the Concealed Cooper, making Chummy remember that he is, indeed, Cooper. All signs of Chummy Sparklestone eventually disappear... except him constantly giving Smidge desserts.
#6 Marshtato Mary (Marshtato Fairy)
Branch is determined to prove the Marshtato Fairy, a mystical creature who supposedly plants Marshtatoes, is just a fairy tale... pardon the pun. So he climbs up Hill Mountain to prove she isn't there, only to find Marshtato Mary, a fairy-like creature who steals the Marshtatoes every night, except for that one foggy night the Trolls celebrate. When she finds out they've been eating the Marshtatoes she doesn't steal, Mary heads to Troll Village to reveal herself and reclaim them. But Branch, deciding his friends' happiness is more important than him being right, convinces everyone to hug her and she flies back home, unable to handle the love.
#5 Fun-Phibian (Hitting the Sky Note)
The Fun-Phibian is a giant creature that rises from the lagoon once a year, and if Trolls sing in perfect harmony for him, he'll give them an unforgettable fireworks show. If not, he'll dive back in and they'll have to try again next year. When Poppy realizes that Sky Toronto has a terrible singing voice, she tries to keep him out of it. But soon enough, she realizes the best way for people to be happy is by being happy together. So, Poppy decides to have everyone work with Sky's voice, and it pleases the Fun-Phibian enough to release his rainbow of light.
#4 Friendship Permanence Ceremony (Haircuffed)
Tired of Branch and Creek constantly bickering, Poppy ties their hair together to help them get along. After a while, it appears to work... but perhaps a little too much. They begin spending all their time together, and soon decide to have Poppy keep them together forever. The young queen is unsure if she should help her friends or make them happy. She ultimately decides the former and apologizes for tying them together in the first place, only to discover that they planned it all along. While they may not be best buds, at least Branch and Creek are a little closer.
#3 The Big Squeeze (Hug Fest)
Hug Fest is a special event where Troll's participate in hug-themed events. One of them is the Big Squeeze, a tower that raises and drops you dozens of feet into the air. Terrified of the ride, Branch attempts to keep himself from riding it with Poppy by convincing her to do everything else first. Eventually, he comes clean and admits his fear. Poppy convinces him that it's fun because it's scary, and they end up having the time of their lives. It's still scary for Branch, but feels better with her by his side.
#2 The Quest For Flowers (A Flower for Poppy)
Poppy gives her friends the best gifts, so they try to return the favor by each giving her the perfect gift. King Peppy tells them about her favorite flowers, which can only be found in a cave miles from Troll Village. The group braves obstacles including Grossums, hummingbirds and Kabloom Shrooms. Soon enough, they reach the cave... only to find all the flowers but one gone. The Trolls fight over who should give it to Poppy at first, but realize her happiness is what matters most. Poppy is grateful for their gift, but then reveals Peppy was the one who picked the rest of them.
Honorable Mentions
Craze Chaos (Do the Biggie); Trees Have Knots? (Giggleyum)
#1 Manipulating Poppy (Hair Ball)
It's no secret that Poppy's a bit of a perfectionist. Every year during the Hair Ball, Poppy gets so worried about everyone else having enough fun, she misses out the chance to dance. But this year, she ends up distracted by Branch, who, being the wallflower he is, refuses to have fun. Whenever Poppy's filling a punch bowl or readjusting the lights, Branch is there to stand around and drive her crazy. Eventually, she has her fill of his stubbornness and decides to drag him out on the dance floor. Suddenly, Branch reveals that it was all an act to get her to dance with him. If he kept it up, he probably could have gotten her to have sex with him. Just kidding. Still...
