Somebody's Getting Married!
On a peaceful evening, Poppy and Branch decided to watch the sunset together.
“You know, after everything that's happened, it's nice to just relax," Poppy said.
“Yeah, I feel better already," Branch replied, wrapping an arm around Poppy's shoulder. “I wonder how Lily's been. I mean, her wedding's tommorow and she's done little to prepare. Plus, they invited Bash."
“Well, it was either him or the rest of Archer's family," Poppy pointed out. “I wonder how they got him to come, though."
Earlier that day...
“No... stinking... way," Bash answered, storming off. Willow winked at Archer and Lily. “I'm not going to this traitor's wedding, and there's nothing you dweebs can do or say to make me say..."
Suddenly, Willow magically appeared right in front of him. She pushed her bangs back and her face morphed into the most horrifying thing he ever saw. Once her face returned to normal, Willow smirked at him.
“... I'll go."
Present
“What are they gonna do?" Branch asked. “They already sent invitations."
“Don't worry about them," Poppy assured him. “If we get all of Troll Village to pitch in together, we can make sure Archer and Lily have a wedding they'll never forget."
“We're gonna do it all in song and dance, aren't we?"

The following morning, everyone started their day like it was no other. But things then got a little more interesting.
“Extra! Extra! Somebody's getting married!" a Troll selling newspapers announced.
“Somebody's getting married?!" Aspen Heitz exclaimed excitedly. “Hey! Somebody's getting married!"
“Fun fact: somebody's getting married!" Tug Deluth announced.
“Somebody's getting married?! Yee-haw!" Willow's Dad cheered.
“Somebody's getting married!" Cybil sang, looking in a crystal pyramid.
“Somebody's getting married!" sang a group of children.
Somebody's getting maaaaaa....
Somebody's getting
Somebody's getting
Somebody's getting
Somebody's getting
...rieeeeeeeeeed!
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody
“Somebodyyyyyyyyyyy!" Guy Diamond vocalized proudly.
“It's not you!" Archer pointed out. Biggie and Guy started singing together.
Somebody get some flowers, somebody get a ring
Somebody get a chapel and a choir to sing
“Somebody get an organ to play," Branch joined in.
“'Cause somebody's getting married today!" Mr. Dinkles sang in a deep voice, much to their surprise.

On the other side of the village, Lily and her bridesmaids were at the café.
“Somebody get a preacher," Smidge sang in a low voice.
“Somebody bake a cake," Lily sang, frosting a vanilla-strawberry marble cake.
“Somebody get some shoes and rice and presents to take!" Satin and Chenille sang together, adjusting Lily's gown.
Somebody get a sweet negligee...
“Willow, TMI," Lily said flatly.
'Cause somebody's getting married today!

Cooper was trying on fancy hats, and the rest of the guys were supposed to show up soon.
“Wedding! Wedding! Pastry-Stardust wedding!" he sang happily as the guys showed up.
Somebody get champagne, somebody rent a room
Unfortunately, the girls showed up, too. The groom wasn't supposed to see the bride before the wedding, so both parties had to make a hasty, and embarrassing, retreat.
Somebody get the lovely bride and somebody get the...
Somebody get the...
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody...
“Somebody get this wedding underway!" one of the hats sang, oddly. Cooper, however, knew it was the perfect hat.
“'Cause they are getting married today!"

That evening, as the sun began to set, everyone got to Town Square to see Archer and Lily tie the knot.
Somebody's getting married...
Today!
Everyone watched as the bridesmaids and groomsmen walked down the aisle. Cooper and Guy Diamond each walked down with one of the twins, while Biggie walked down with Smidge.
“This kinda reminds of our wedding, remember?" Smidge chuckled.
“Yes, that story gets funnier every time you tell it," Biggie replied sarcastically.
Once Biggie and Smidge got in place, everyone watched the best man and maid of honor, Branch and Willow, walked down the aisle. Naturally, Willow flirted with some other girls.
“Are they here yet? Are they here yet?" Creek asked Cybil nervously. “Did I miss it? Am I late?"
“No, they'll be here any minute," Cybil answered.
“Oh boy, I can hardly wait!" Harper whispered.
“Isn't this exciting?!" Lily's mother whispered to Willow's Dad.
He nodded. “It's the wedding of the year!"
Willow's sister, Karen, wasn't very interested. “Well, can't we start without them?"
“No, you can't until they're here," Clyde answered. Karen just groaned.
“They're finally getting married now..." Branch and Willow sang together. Everyone got up to watch Lily walk down the aisle with her father.
Poppy smiled the biggest smile she could muster. She knew Archer and Lily would spend many happy years together. She was also happy for Willow, who managed to heal after all the years her heart kept breaking. Lily's father proudly gave his daughter away and sat back down. Lily gave the bouquet to Willow so she could hold hands with Archer.
“Ladies and gentlemen," Poppy began, “we are gathered here today to celebrate the marriage of Archer Pastry and Lily Stardust. But before we begin, I have something to say. I don't think I've ever met any two Trolls braver, stronger and kinder than Lily and Willow. No matter what anyone thinks or says, they never let anything get in their way. And they're always there for each other. If it wasn't for Willow, Archer probably would have never met Lily, and Lily... she saved Willow in ways that can't be explained. As for the wedding, I believe the bride and groom have written their own vows. Archer?"
Archer gazed lovingly into Lily's eyes and recited his vows.
“Lily, when I met you, I was new to living with the Trolls. Sometimes I felt a little out of place, like even though they're my friends now, I could never truly belong. But you changed that. When I'm around you, I feel free to just be myself. You are smart, compassionate, independent, and you care about other Trolls in a way that my own kind don't care about each other. I don't know what I did to deserve you, but I hope to spend many wonderful years with you."
Lily felt tears falling down her cheeks and wiped them away gently. She then recited her vows.
“I spent most of my life not knowing if I was ever meant to be happy. And Poppy's right. I don't think I'd ever meet another guy like you. Despite all my flaws, you stick by me. I'm the only Troll in the village who's never smiled, but even if I could, it wouldn't be big enough to show how happy I truly am. I've made many desserts, but none of them are as sweet as you. My little cousin introduced me to the man who became the greatest friend I could ever ask for, and... now I'm marrying him. I love you, Archer Pastry."
“I doubt there will be any objections," Poppy said, “but if anyone has anything to say, anything at all, please speak now."
Willow raised her hand. Poppy gave her permission, and Willow gave Lily the biggest hug she ever gave.
“Thank you, Lily," she sobbed. “For everything."
“Yeah, yeah," Lily replied, hugging her back. Once they parted, the wedding continued.
“Archer and Lily," Poppy announced. “As your queen, and your friend, I now pronounce you Troll and husband. You may kiss."
Archer lovingly held Lily's face and pressed his lips to hers. Suddenly, everyone saw colorful beams of light across the sky. They almost seemed to dance. The Trolls cheered for both the Aurora Trollealis and the happy couple.
Lily pulled away, only for Archer to pull his wife back in for a hug. Lily thought about how everything changed ever since she met the former Party Crasher. She closed her eyes, and for the first time in her life, she smiled.
I didn't think I'd do it, but I finally finally finished In The Stardust. Lily's story has come to an end. Or something like that.
Live long and prosper. 🖖
