One Last Day of Simplicity
"Why the long face?" Harry asked Ginny swinging from the side of her doorframe by his arm.
"We leave tomorrow." She pouts. "Then it's back to, school and drama, and people who I don't like." Sticking her thick pink lips out she stares up at Harry with large puppy dog eyes.
"When, then I guess that means you have to spend the rest of the day, with me!" Harry says happily popping down in her bed.
"Ugh, we can't just snog the whole time, Harry!" She exclaims throwing her arms up in exasperation.
"Did you have something else in mind?" Harry askes waggling his eyebrows.
"Ugh! Boys!" Ginny giggle falling onto him. She waves her wand once and the door closes gently as locks lips with Harry.
Harry and Ginny slowly lean so Harry's back rests against the bed frame. Ginny has her legs on each side of Harry as she runs her fingers through her his hair.
Harry has one hand in her lower back and his other her head pushing her head towards his.
They spiral in the passion of the kiss when Harry breaks his lips away from Ginny's and starts running infatuated kisses along her neck.
So lost in the lust and excitement of the kiss they are unaware of the exciting shouts and pounding steps around the house from Ron.
His heavy footfalls briefly pass Ginny's door. She turns her head slightly but decides to ignore it.
The steps of Ron fill the void above them for a moment. Harry begins trailing kisses down Ginny's collar bone when the door to her room bangs open.
"YOU'LL NEVER BELIEVE- OH MY GOD! BLOODY HELL! MY EYES!" Ron screeches turning around and around rubbing his eyes frantically.
Both Harry and Ginny's eyes widen when they hear and see Ron. Straightening up they each attempt to more act as if they were not just running their hands all over each other snogging.
"WHAT, THE BLOODY HELL WAS THAT? I DIDN'T WANT TO SEE THAT!" Ron yells face red and eyes wide at both of them. His teeth are on show and his jaw is tightly clenched.
"I mean, well." Ginny studders still trying to cover the hickey marks on her neck with her hair.
Still, looking at them like a mad man Ron says, "EXPLAIN NOW!"
"I mean mate, " Harry starts.
"I'M WAITING!" Ron interrupts clearly not listening.
"It'sourdescsiontomakeweatherwesnogornot," Harry says quickly grimacing directly after, waiting for the install blow of Ron's rage.
"YOUR DECISION!" He roars. "YOUR DECISION, MY ARSE!" He yells, eyes building at Harry. "THAT'S MY BABY SISTER YOU- YOU GIT!" Ron hesitated while thinking of a proper insult.
"I mean mate, " Harry says loudly trying to calm Ron. "We've been through this before, " he starts.
"Doesn't matter!" Ron yells, calming slightly. "I. DID. NOT. WANT. TO SEE. THAT!" He yells very loudly again. "Ah! My eyes!" He groans, shoving the heels of his palms into his eyes.
That's when a chocolate frog card falls from his hands.
"Hey is that a chocolate frog card?" Harry askes standing up. "With you on it!" He exclaims excitedly.
"Don't change the subject!" Ron says looking at him sharply. "I'm not yelling at you here anymore. We are talking outside." Ron says grabbing Harry's shirt sleeve dragging Harry behind him.
He sends a look of plea at Ginny before disappearing from the door frame. Her jaw hangs open slightly at Ron's outburst. Standing up she rushes to the window searching for the boys.
"Ow- uh-oh-ouch-Ron! Ouch- oh, would you stop!" Harry yells because once they were out of the house Ron started to drag Harry by his ear.
Reaching the highly secluded part of the garden, past the point of when Molly gave up on weeding. Ron drops Harry causing him to stumble.
While Harry trips over feet and tries to regain his balance, Ron crosses his arms looking at him impatiently.
"What the hell, Ron?" Harry questions him looking up with slight fury as he rubs his ear.
"Me? Are you seriously saying " what the hell" to me!" Ron exclaims, with a stone cold rage.
Harry's face softens when he sees the fury written in the lines of Ron's face.
Taking a deep breath Ron lifts his hand as if he is about to give a very loud speech when the crashing sound of an old rickety window interrupts him.
"I would just like to say, " Ginny's voice echos down towards them from her window. "When you beat Harry up, please don't kill him. I intend to snog him later, not plan his funeral!" Her bright red hair contrasts heavily against the white/grey of the sky.
A head of brown hair pops out next to hers. "Yes, Ron. You killing the savior of the wizarding world, would not reflect kindly on your auror job. So, don't beat him up too badly!" Hermione adds before each of the girls withdraws their heads from the chilly air, and the window slams shut.
Harry turns back towards Ron's hands in his pockets. Not to grab his wand, which is inconveniently somewhere in Ginny's bed at the moment. Harry is making an attempt to look as nonchalant as possible in this very moment.
Ron doesn't speak for a solid two minutes and just glares at him.
"What do you want to do? You wanna punch me?" Harry askes playfully trying to make a joke about the situation.
"Yes, that would be brilliant," Ron answers looking at him with a spark in his eyes.
"Uh, okay," Harry responds taken off guard. He takes his glasses off his face and places them on a nearby rock, out of harm's way. Looking at Ron while doing so, to ensure he doesn't pounce on him. Taking a step closer to his friend he holds his arms out and scrunches his face up. Preparing himself for the impact of Ron's fist he tries to steal his stomach and waits.
When the punch doesn't come Harry squint's his eyes open at Ron slightly. He is just standing there. His arms at his sides, looking at Harry in disbelief.
"I didn't think you would let me punch you." He says faintly.
Harry drops his arms and puts his glasses back on his face.
"If I let you punch me. Would you have allowed me to snog your sister?" Harry questions Ron taking a cautious step closer.
"You'd snog her anyway." Ron scoffs back.
"That's not the point."
"With less, resistance." Ron answers. "If that's the answer you looking for."
"Good enough for me," Harry says smiling.
"I just don't want to see it. Ever. Again. Like NEVER. EVER EVER!" Ron laughs at first but then his face turns very serious as he continues with the sentence.
"Okay, okay. Point taken." Harry says raising his arms in defeat.
"But I see you and Hermione snogging all the time!" Harry points out.
"Do you want me to punch you?" Ron askes pulling back his fist.
"No! No." Harry says pushing his arms out shaking his hands, taking a few steps backward.
"Fine, I won't punch you." Ron caves. "I'll kick you!" He laughs and pulls Harry into a sort of bro hug.
Laughing along nervously, Harry begins to walk toward the house with him.
"Okay, but in all seriousness, " Ron says a few meters in front of the door. "You really love her, don't you?"
With hesitation Harry answers. "Yes."

"Ginny!" Draco shouts standing up to great her in the secluded Room of Requirement.
"Hi, Draco." She says smiling, but not that much, because she a Draco is only friends by association.
"How was Christmas?" He askes politely, as Ginny flops down the squishy leather seats provided.
"Oh you know, just family drama. I was just relaxing to be away from school, where it just works work, all the time!" Ginny says sinking deeper into her seat, sighing a breath of relief.
Not saying anything, just sitting on his couch Draco it hurt by the comment. Work, does that mean he's work too? Not knowing what to do he looks up smiling.
"You know, not that many kids stayed for a break, and Slughorn had the basicity to offer me wine at one of the dinners." He says looking up for approval, hoping to look he was only making small talk.
"But you refused," Ginny said looking at him. When he didn't answer she straightened her posture and looked at him. "You refused, right Draco?"
"Hmm, oh yes! Of course, I refused. I wouldn't have accepted, what with all the help you've given me." He smiles.
This was the one place he felt truly at peace. It felt as if he was with his only friend. He could be happy here.
"There's a reason. You know." He says staring at a crack in the floor. "That I want to drink."
"Because of your father," Ginny says trying to lock eyes with him.
"Let me rephrase. There is a reason, I want to drink now. It's not because of how my father used to treat me and what he and I made myself do. It's because of people. They way they look at me. The way they talk. The way I know people will never forgive me for the things I've done." His voice breaks but he continues. "You may not remember or know this, but in the second year, I called Granger a mudblood. For the first time. I was so caught up in my " perfect pure blood" world." He barely spits the last part out through his tears and anger. "I could see that people, were just like me. Now all I want is a second chance. AND I CAN'T HAVE THAT! All I want is to be able to start over and apologize to the people who I hurt the most. Who I know hate me. I want to be able to go up to them and say "sorry", but every time I walk up to someone, all they seem to be able to do is stare at my arm! Drinking, it made that pain go away, for a little bit. Helped me escape. I don't drink now, and it feels like their stares burn the back of my head. I can't do it! I want to scream and break something! I JUST WANT TO BE NORMAL!" Draco scratched out the last part before breaking out into full-on sobs gasping for air.
Having already abandoned his sweater and tie he sits on the dark blue couch, in his white shirt and back pants. His hair is strewn from its place, (he no longer gets it, as his father told him to) he gasps for breath and each of his hands hold him steady at each of his sides. His can't bear to look up. So he says legs curled underneath him. Sobbing.
"Oh, Draco!" Ginny says sadly rushing next to his hyperventilating body. Looking around frantically Ginny grabs the suddenly appeared box. The lid says 'smell'.
Grabbing it she inhales it quickly. It smells of some sort of shampoo(his mothers) and the aging smell of iron. ( He used to hide in the sitting room tucked underneath the metal desk.)
Taking it she thrusts it into Draco's hands praying it calms him. Hopefully a little bit.
He looks at his but doesn't bring it to his face. Growing exasperated she shoves it into his face and catches him on the inhale. He stood midbreath recognizing the comforting smells.
Wiping underneath his nose with his sleeve he grabs the box in both hands gazing at it wonderfully. Sniffing on occasion the box of nostalgia seems to have the calming effect Ginny was praying for.
Frightened to go up to Draco and speak to him, in fears he might lash out, Ginny pulls her wand and tucks in the right front of her skirt.
(Totally unrelated but girls... We need pockets!)
Understanding what Draco means by people fearing him she looks down at her wand, in distaste for her actions. Shaking her head she tosses her wand back at her bag and the end of the couch.
The clang of wood on concrete is audible but, Draco doesn't look up.
Reaching him, Ginny slowly lowers herself down to eye level with Draco. Pushing the box down slightly with her hands she has Draco look up at her.
"I'm sorry." Is all she manages to whisper, before squeezing her eyes shut and having a few tears leak from them herself.

Wouldn't be a chapter in my story if I didn't at least make one person cry.
Let's make it clear, there will be no Ginny + Draco shit here. Understand!? Good. If anyone ships that, hate to burst your bubble, but I just did. If you do ship that, you will be banned from mental sanity forever because you do not deserve sanity if that is what you think with it and use it for.
Such a rubbish chapter. I am I need of ideas! Please vote a comment to show support and give ideas. I'm sorry if this chapter is a little loopy sounding, it is currently a little after 1 is. But I was determined to write this.
Votes and comments show me support, and support means the world to me. YOUR SUPPORT!
