Honeydukes
"He never said that Harry had to come alone, "
Hermione said scanning her copy of Malfoys letter, "It's not even hinted or anything. So that settles it. Ron and I are coming."
Hermione sighs and slouches back into the armchair she has been pouring over letters in for the last three hours.
"I should really be packing." She sighs looking out in a pout at Ron.
"Then go pack," Ron suggests helpfully.
"But I want to help with this."
"Then help! bloody hell. Women." Ron exclaims looking and Harry as to say "Why are they like this?"
Harry lifted the corners of his mouth into a smile, not raising from his enchanted gaze from the stairwell.
Hoping, willing and begging that Ginny would come down.
She doesn't.
"Harry! Wake up!"
"Huh, what?" Harry sputters turning around in the armchair he must have fallen asleep in.
"You've been asleep for hours we were supposed to leave 10 minutes ago. C'mon!" Hermione says throwing a pair of clothes at him.
"Good lord Hermione! It's 4 in the fucking morning!"
"Shut up. You get to cussy when you're tired. We do not need Molly waking up now, do we? Get dressed and eat the watered down porridge that Ron made."
"Ok ok. Calm down. I'm going, I'm going!" Harry whisper yelled as he pulled himself out of the chair and began to strip in the middle of the sitting room.
"God this is terrible," Ron exclaims walking in carrying a bowl for Harry. "You think last year would have prepared me for watery porridge. But no! I can't handle it. Promise me you will never let me cook again."
"Swear on life mate," Harry replies sarcastically. Pulling his sweater over his head and accepting the porridge ravenously.
Giving up on his spoon Harry drowns the rest of the contents like pumpkin juice.
"Ah refreshing." He smiles wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
Dodging Ron's punch he rushes outside before Hermione gets an aneurysm from their lack of punctuality.
Grabbing hands they each become sucked in the void that males the watery porridge retire to the outside world.
Popping right outside the gate to Hogsmeade, still wary of the siren from a few months ago they remember all too well.
Dropping his arms to his sides Ron turns to his beloved.
"Well, we have 10 hours to kill, what do we do now?"
"Well I mean we could go visit Hagrid, but if you have something better in mind..."
Both parking up at the mention of their great friend Hermione grins and steps into a long bow florshing her hand towards Hagrid's Hut.
"Lead the way boys." She grins letting them walk past.
Giggling she runs up behind Ron and hops on his back. Causing him to stumble and her to scream.
"Will you too save it for the honeymoon?" Harry laughs at them, "When Madam Rosemary comes out and shatters a mug over your heads, " Harry trails of when he realizes they're only half listening.
"It's out of my hands." He mumbles laughing and looking up at his to best friends.
So in love the collapse on the grass laughing like maniacs. Hermione throws off her backpack and rolls into Ron's warm embrace.
"You know, " Hermione mumbles into Ron's neck. "Maybe we could visit Hagrid later, and sit here for a little bit and watch the sunrise."
"Yeah, " Ron agrees softly. "He's tired and cranky anyway. What do you think Harry?" Ron asked propping himself up to his elbow to look over his shoulder at his friend how has remained standing.
"Yeah sure, whatever you guys want." Harry shrugs falling down onto the soft grass between the school and the town.
The sunrise is bright yellow at first, and the shortly cropped landscape pops out contrasting heavily against the old grey cobblestone path. It's breathtakingly beautiful, but Harry doesn't look east long. His back is turned and he stared at the school in the distance.
Sighing he tries to ignore the sounds of Ron and Hermione snogging. Trying to ignore the guilt creeping up his stomach, Harry thinks about the much simpler past and those thoughts carry him to Ginny.
Who as he begins to daydream about her fiery eyes. She wipes the sleep from those very eyes and checks her clock.
6:30. Great. Sitting up she looks towards her closet for 'Mione in her camp bed a wave of brief panic washed through her.
She's not there.
Breathing out slightly she reminds her self that Hermione is probably just with Ron upstairs.
Getting up she quietly makes her way down the stairs and is greeted by a destroyed sitting room. There are clothes strewn all over the couch. Papers scattered on and around the armchair. Basic messiness. There are three dirty bowls on the side table.
Three.
Quickly tiptoeing upstairs Ginny creaks open her brother's door.
Gone. All of them. They just left without warning. No note. No that's wrong. But they just left.
Oh my lord. Ginny thinks. They went to meet Malfoy. IDIOTS. She screeches in her head. Without me no less. Only Harry left a note. And that wasn't even about leaving. Oh, I'm so done with this. Maybe they shouldn't even come back. They're just gonna leave again. I'm done.
Slamming her plams down on her legs she trudges back to her room and enters solitude.
Pound Pound pound.
"Aye! Who's there!?"
"It's just us Hagrid, now let us in!" Hermione giggles.
"Who? I'm not opening this door 'till yeh tell me who you are."
"You would think after all those years of visiting him under the invisibility cloak, he would know who we were," Ron says loudly, trying to make sure that Hagrid hears.
The door is flung open within seconds.
"What are you lot doing here!?" Hagrid beams down at them.
"Is it a crime to visit an old friend?" Harry asks.
"Come inside you big bunch of hooligans."
"Yes, three whole people, quite the big bunch," Ron says stepping through the door only to be knocked over by Fang.
"How've you been?" Hagrid asked once they were all situated with tea and some biscuits.
"Well, we just wanted to see you, we have some business in Hogsmeade and before that, we wanted to revisit with an old friend," Hermione answered smiling.
"Are yeh coming back to Hogwarts this year?" Hagrid asks beaming expectedly at them.
"Uh, just me," Hermione answers raising her hand.
Disappoint meant falls across Hagrid's face for a moment before he looks up cheerfully again.
"Well, if you're here, who's going to keep this two out of trouble?" Hagrid grins slapping Harry on the back causing his tea to sputter out.
They stayed until 1 30.
Leaving Hagrid smiling. He knew that he would see his friends again but was still sad. They would not tell him why they were in Hogsmeade but turned away with purpose. Thoughts of following them filled his head but he pushed them away.
Walking out back towards the shops. Hermione loses her giggle and turns very serious very quickly.
"Harry will wait in front of Honeydukes. Ron and I will be inside of Zoiko's watching. If anything turns out to be a threat I want you to scratch the back of your neck."
"Wouldn't it just be easier for Harry to blow him out to the sky?" Ron askes. Looking over at his friend for support.
"I know Harry is perfectly capable of getting rid of Malfoy but still. He really shouldn't even be doing this what with his new job. Once in front of the gag gift shop, Ron and Hermione enter because they are extremely interested in the lifelike teeth on the display shelf.
Plopping down on the bench in front of the sweet shop Harry looks around. Housemade is empty with most of the shops closed and most people getting ready for school.
"No guards, eh Potter?" Malfoy strolls over in a black hoodie pulled over his head hiding his hair. His dark blue jeans make him look like a shady muggle.
Harry stands, glancing towards the Zoinko's window before glaring at Malfoy.
"Let's get over this, shall we?" Harry says.
"What not even going to invite me to sit? Manners, Potter. Didn't your Moth-"
Before Malfoy could even finish his line Harry hovering above Malfoy. Hoddie scrunched up in his hand pulling Draco up uncomfortably.
"Do you want my help or not?" Harry says through clenched teeth. "Because if you do, I would not recommend finishing that sentence."
"Right right." Malfoy answers.
Harry drops him pushing him against the wall of the shop. Inclining him to sit. He sits with his legs stuck out and crossed over. Harry sits but keeps at ready to pull out his wand any second.
"Won't let me catch a break, will you Potter? Well anyway, let's talk about why I'm here."
"Yeah, what do you want, money?"
"I have money Potter. And plenty of it."
"Then what do you need."
"Somewhere to stay."
"Are you kidding me! Malfoy you prat! Go live it up in your fancy mansion." Harry exclaims in disbelief.
"You think I can go back there. Once my dad got arrested people come to the house took my mum. The Ministry is probably watching it still. I just need to stay somewhere a few nights. Please." Malfoy was losing his edge. His eyes were glassy and he had sunken and curled up into himself. "I'm going back to Hogwarts soon. I won't bother you then. Just for three nights."
Taken aback by the change of personality Harry cocks his head confused.
"You've never heard me beg. Don't get used to it."
"Three nights. I blindfold you when we go and leave. You stay on the floor your room is in. Kreacher or I will bring you food. I apperate you away from the house and you get to Kings Cross by yourself. Understand?"
"Savor this moment, Potter. This is the one an only time that I will ever take an order from you. Forever and for the rest of time."
"I'm fine with that, Malfoy." Harry offers his hand to shake.
He takes it and each of them pop out of existence.
