Betrayal
"Dammit!"
I punched the wall, leaving a large dent in the white surface.
How could I be such an idiot?! Of course Xehanort was through with her! She betrayed him! Now, she has to deal with the consequences, and I can't do anything but watch!
I'm too weak. I can't escape Xehanort. His hold on me is too strong.
Tears of frustration blurred my vision, and my body started shaking.
I can't just let him kill her. Not without a fight.
"Vanitas?"
Turning around, I saw a teenage guy with olive skin, silver, spiky hair, and golden eyes staring at me with worry. He was wearing an Organization XIII coat, and I blinked so it didn't seem like I was crying.
"Hey, Xenny," I said, looking down. That was the nickname I called him, since he was the past version of Xehanort, and stuff would just get confusing if they both had the same name.
"You know I hate it when you call me that," Xenny said, rolling his eyes at me. I smirked a little, crossing my arms.
"You wouldn't mind if that girl called you Xenny," I muttered, causing his face to become slightly pink. Just the mention of the girl he liked and his face would be as red as a baboon's butt.
"Shut up," he said, glaring at me, a hint of embarrassment in his tone. "Why were you attacking that wall?" Xenny pointed at the dent in the surface, and I sighed.
"It's a long story," I said, sitting down on my bed.
"I've got time," Xenny replied, sitting down next to me. A stupid grin took over his face, and I shook my head at his little joke.
"Har har. Very funny."
"Seriously, dude, you can talk to me."
"Dude?"
"I'm learning some new slang that's hip with the kids."
"Please stop."
"Haters gonna hate."
"I'll just go."
"No, wait, I'm sorry! You can talk to me."
I sighed, running a hand through my spiky, dark hair. Where to even start?
"Well, I like this girl," I started off. "I watched over her, and then Xehanort wanted her to become a vessel. Things happened, shit hit the fan, and now he wants to kill her. And I'm gonna be the one to pull the trigger."
Xenny stared at me, a slightly confused look in his face.
"Well, fuck," was all he said after a minute.
"Yeah. That's why I'm pissed."
"What are you gonna do?" Xenny asked, furrowing his eyebrows in concern.
"There's nothing I can do," I muttered, looking down. "Xehanort's already taken control of me, and it also looks like my death is inevitable."
"Well, you should cherish the moments you have left with that girl," Xenny said, sympathy in his voice. "If you're gonna lose her forever, you should spend time with her."
"Please, Xehanort won't let me talk to her. At least, not in person..."
"Huh? What are you thinking?" Xenny asked, a smile growing on his face. I got up, opening a dark portal.
"I'm gonna cherish the moments I have left with her," I replied, entering the darkness.

Appearing in the mysterious tower, I wandered up a flight of stairs, thinking.
Xehanort obviously won't let me apprear so others can see me, at least not until he needs me for his plan to kill...trap Akio in darkness. I could still try to fall asleep so I see her in my dreams, but after what happened last time, I know he can still control how I act.
So, maybe I can find another way to communicate with her?
Only one way to find out.
"...The worst thing that could happen is if we get stuck in the Realm of Darkness."
What? Who's voice is that? It sounds familiar.
I continued up the stairs to the top floor, listening to the voice in my head.
"Just the name gives me the creeps. But, who knows?"
I pushed open the door to see Sora, Riku, Kairi, Lea, and Mickey sitting down around a large desk. Akio was sitting nearest to the door, her head in her hands and sad look on her face. Mickey was talking, but I zoned out as all my attention was focused on her.
"That place would probably be safer than here once Xehanort unleahes havoc and chaos."
Aw, don't think like that.
Akio snapped her head up, as if she heard a voice. Wait...
"Who said that?"
Me. Who else?
Akio rolled her eyes in annoyance, and I chuckled.
"Har har. Very funny, voice in my head."
"Akio? Did you hear me?" Mickey asked, interrupting us. Frowning, I crossed my arms. Guess that's the end of that. But, I now know that I can at least talk to her.
A portal suddenly opened up beneath me, and I fell into the darkness.

"Good job with setting the trap, Vanitas," Xehanort said, a slight smile on his face. I raised an eyebrow in confusion. He seemed...a little too happy.
"Uh, thanks," I muttered. "Do I get my seat back now?" He just smiled at me, ignoring my question.
"Now, you just need to open the path and things will finally go according to plan," Isa said, a smug smile on his face. I noticed Braig and Xenny were quiet, and that's when I knew something was wrong.
"Got it," I responded, nodding my head. They think everything will work out for them, but I've got a plan brewing. Just gotta make sure it goes without a hitch. Otherwise, I'm dead.
"Vanitas, can I talk to you for a moment?" Xenny asked, finally speaking up. Everyone looked at him in surprise, Xehanort staring him down.
"Uh, sure," I said.
"You can talk to Vanitas later," Isa interrupted. "Don't you need to go 'cherish the moments you have left?'"
I felt my blood start to boil, but I suddenly tensed up. How did he know I said that?
Looking up at Xenny, I saw him look down in guilt. I stared at him until he finally met my gaze, and I clenched my teeth.
"You know what?" I said. "I will." Opening a dark portal, I entered the black void, feeling betrayed.

I'm finally home from D.C.! Bruh, all my flights back home were delayed and I missed back to school night, it was a LONG trip. >~<
Speaking of long, the next part will be pretty lengthy, so that should make up for these little fillers!
Also, I tried to post earlier, but wattpad wouldn't let me, so I'm sorry!
