Only a deadly silence envelops the two tense mafia members; not even a bird dares to chirp in the vicious atmosphere.
The street lights flicker and buzz, more often than not letting darkness consume the dirty streets. The night activity is already fading; it is almost two am, and the last drunk teens are staggering there way out of bars- silently, too, as they near the deadly presence of a mafia executive and his apprentice.
Ineko's sabre glints again as the streetlight flickers on briefly then off, causing what little human activity to scutter away from the duo.
"I'm going to slowly sink my teeth into your flesh and watch in delight as I hear the ripping and squelching sound. I'm going to slowly pluck an eyeball daintily and wiggle it in front of her other eye so you can see yourself-literally. Then-" Ineko's dark fantasies are rudely interrupted by Chuuya's annoyed growl, who looks mildly disturbed at her vivid descriptions.
"I can hear you, shitty brat."
"Well isn't that fookin' amazin'! Glad te know that ya ears are workin' properly," came her snarky voice, this time mimicking a Scottish accent- quite well actually, as Chuuya notes.
"Shut up, seadog. Your yammering is annoying," the emphasise his point, he sticks one slender index finger in his ear, as if plugging it. "And apologise for your disrespect to your seniors."
"The only thing I'm apologising for is for disrupting your honeymoon with Dazai."
Before Chuuya was called in by Mori, he had just returned from a small mission with his partner-in-crime (literally) and was about to go with him again to sort out minor complications.
"Seadog," Chuuya spits warningly. "I'm more than capable of kicking your puny," he pauses to stare at her butt, "saggy ass to the moon," and snickers.
Ineko fumes. "I'll have you know that my butt is less saggy than yours."
Chuuya opens his mouth to respond but gets distracted as he senses the atmosphere becoming more dirty and heavy as they near the illegal drug market. His mouth that had unconsciously tweaked upwards with the banter falls down into a grim line. Ineko notices this, and silently notes that Chuuya doesn't really like the drug dealers.
"Oi, Chuuya," Ineko goes red a little as she clenches her jaw, "just kick their asses and get it over with."
Chuuya's blue eyes slide over to her, and he raises an eyebrow at her almost flustered expression. He knows that this is about as far as she will go to comfort him, but he appreciates it. Especially when he knows that she hates him as much as he hates her.
"Will do."
