AAHANA'S POV

I sat outside listening to them. I was not confused. It's clear that someone has been threatening aunt too. But why? Is chitra also in danger along with me? When Soham came out and talked with me I knew he's pressurized. He wanted to tell me everything but scared as I might get worried again .

" Shall I drop you home? " he offered while I sat opposite chitra who's scared as hell after looking at those horrible people .

" Can I stay with her for this night? " I asked him pointing my finger at her.

" Why... Yeah ok. " he said walking out of the room calmly. I knew something more has happened. She's not going to open her mouth now.

" You shouldn't stay here Mam. It's dangerous for you" she said lying down on her bed.

" What did you see and listen? If you don't tell me I am going to send you back to your home " I warned sitting beside her.

She didn't talk.

She had expressionless face.

"Chitra? " I called out.

" Why were you present there? " I questioned making her look at me.

" I wanted to complain that I have seen some unknown guys talking with children outside. I didn't find them pleasant. But what I heard surprised me Mam. " she spoke.

" Small girl was murdered by one of them before. They said, they will kill someone else too if Mam doesn't help them " she said with trembling voice.

" Did they see you?? " I questioned her.

" One of them pointed out to someone that I am hearing to their conversation. I walked away from there immediately. Mam am I in trouble now? " she asked me wiping her tears.

I sighed. How can I answer her when I have no idea what's happening here. Now I regret bringing her here from her home. It would have been better staying at her place . I can even ask Soham now, he seems pretty tensed up about this.

" Chitra, did you study for your exam?" I asked her.

" Yes I did. I was just taking walk when I saw them " she pointed out.

" Did you eat? " I asked her.

" Yes mam. " she replied.

" Now I am here, Soham is here. You please take rest " I said lying down beside her. We both looked at fan and did not talk about anything . I know she is under pressure, we have no idea if they will come back to get her or torture her. But real question is about whom they are talking?

" Good night mam" chitra said holding my hand.

When I woke up I saw chitra dressing up for college. She looks calm and composed. I laid my head back and closed my eyes.

Suddenly why everything is going on like this?

Why is Soham's life such a mystery! ?

Who are they? Why don't Soham complain about them to police?

" Mam! " chitra touched my shoulder and I sat up with a jerk.

" Sorry to disturb you, your phone is ringing and it's Soham bhai" she said.

" Hello? " I answered.

" If you are going with chitra to college I will drop you both " he said waiting for my reply .

" Soham, I got up just now. You can drop her " I said disconnecting our call. I am so sleepy, chitra smiled at me and collected her books.

" All the best dear. I will lock your room and leave keys with aunt OK? Don't think much. Just give your best and Dont talk about this with anyone. You are perfectly safe here. Got it? " I asked her.

" Yes mam, thank you so much" she said leaving me alone in her room.

They say arranged marriages are gamble. We don't know how or what other person is. Yet we agree to get married and stay at completely different situations and surroundings our whole life. Men must be feeling the same I guess.

Why am I thinking about this now?

I have agreed to marry Soham, he has so many flaws yet appears to be flawless. I thought it's better to get married to the person I know but I never knew because I know him, I have to deal with his problems before marriage too.

No, he's not a burden.

I am over thinking! He's not a bad guy!

My thought process wanted to go negatively and I didn't give up on it. I wanted to know how much I can think. After wasting time for about one hour on unnecessary things I laughed out like sick person and brushed my teeth using spare one which I carry in my handbag. Walking down to aunt's room I heard her talking with Soham and decided to sit outside.

" If you have decided to marry her, you should tell her the reason behind this too. One can't simply trust you all the time Soham. She's a gem. You are too but truth is always truth you can manage to hide it or tell her partially about it, some day when things get worse you will face the wrath of it. Why not now? Stop being such a fool! You can loose people in your life because of your stupidity! " she yelled making my eyes go wide.

Aunt can be damn angry too!

" I didn't say I am hiding it . Please don't stress. I was going to tell her yesterday but she wanted to stay with the girl so " he trailed off.

" Tell her now! Go! She's going to reach my office anytime soon. Wait for her !" aunt commanded making me laugh at him. I heard his chair moving and I stood up from my place with neutral face.

"You are here! " he said smiling sweetly.

" I will be back in a minute " with that said I went inside to meet aunt. She was lovely as always. Handing over room keys to her I planned to ask her if she was OK or not .

" Aahana, Soham is sometimes Immposible to understand but he is good person. What ever is happening I can assure you, he always wanted to make this end but things always doesn't turn up the way we want right? I am fine. But you should know the truth and don't leave him until he tells you OK? " she asked making me nod my head.

" Shall we go for breakfast? I am hungry" he stated and I laughed.

So he's going to confess over breakfast ?

Should I consider this as our date?
