She could see sunlight
on the horizon
the long dark night
of loneliness
looked like an
end in sight.

Desperate tears
dried upon her skin
familiar feelings
of warmth, within
butterfly emotions
fluttered and flew
this one was different
deep down she knew.

She allowed her heart
