was like nothing he'd felt before.
Ache didn't quite cover
the agony he was in.

Feeling like his heart
was being ripped through his skin
then crushed into a pulp
of broken promises and love.

Discarded and abandoned
left rejected on the floor.
Heartache seemed to imply
a dull sensation
when he felt sharp stabs
of realisation,
that his love was gone.
