Frozen heart; a glacier
thick with years of mistrust
now a comfort to her
iced reminder of painful memories.

Shattered soul; missing pieces
taken by careless lovers.
Still, she often hopes
of a warm summer's day

when her ice-bound heart
will melt away.
Her soul will be restored  
new shapes to fit the missing holes.
