Sorry guys for the long time it took me to publish. It's all due to exam preparations and some personal stuff but hey I'm back now.

The Trap

A trap is a trick arrangement designed purposely to catch someone.

Time they say moves fast when you are having fun. I guess this saying is true because being in Jimmy's car was the opposite. It was no fun at all so it kind of took a long time to get to our destination.

"what was so important that you wanted to talk about privately" I asked breaking the silence.

"just... " he replied brushing his hand through his hair and giving one of those bad boy smirk.

Just what? And by the way this isn't the way to the beech.

I know this isn't the way to the beach,  just wanted to drop by somewhere before heading to the beach.

I was starting to get one of those feelings that I made a wrong choice of entering the car with Jimmy.

"this is a bad idea, this is a bad idea" I started to murmur in a low tone.

"What are you saying" he asked

"Nothing, just regretting my decision"
I replied.

"there is no need to regret after all I don't bite" he said smirking.

After a long drive we finally got to an old wooden house in the middle of nowhere. It was like those hunted house in movies.

"are you waiting for me here or will you come with me inside" he said leaning through the window of the car.

I didn't want to go into that scary old house and also didn't want to stay out here by myself. I'd rather be with someone than be alone.

Wrong choice...

The sound of the door opening sent shivers down my spine.

What are you so shaky about nuggets

Nothing, just getting acquainted with the environment.  I replied.
"Please don't call me nuggets" I demanded.

"Alright, whatever makes you sleep at night nuggets".

"whatever" I said rolling my eyes.

Jimmy moved forward, so I decided to follow suit but my legs weren't just moving at all. Just then I noticed I was standing on glue.

"Jimmy help!!! "I yelled but Jimmy was nowhere to be seen.

I tried removing my shoes but my bare feet landed on the glue this time.

This has got to be Jimmy's plan all along.

"Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy jimmy" I kept yelling.

I Picked up my phone and started dialing Ric's number but he wasn't picking up.

"Hey are you trying to call your little boyfriend to come save you" Jimmy said emerging from behind me with four of his friends in the football team.

"how could you do this to me" I said with tears almost dropping from my eyes. I can't believe I was starting to forgive him for what he did to me earlier.

"hey hold on... Did you think we were becoming friends. Wow!!!  Then you thought wrong" he said laughing followed by his minions.

As tears escaped one of my eye, he snatched my phone from my hand and slide it far from me.

"See ya in a couple of hours nuggets" he said as they walked out.

I swear I would have electrocuted him to death if only his friends weren't there and I wasn't hiding my powers.

Few minutes later, my phone started ringing. I could see that Ricky was written on the caller ID but there was no way to pick up.

The phone kept ringing and ringing. I tried to stretch but my efforts were futile.

Could this day get any worse than it already is?

I guess it could because immediately, it started raining heavily. The roof was leaking badly that it felt like I was directly under the rain.

I hated getting wet because I easily catch cold. I was glad my phone was water resistant if not what would I have done.

I pulled my jacket and started swinging it towards my phone but it was just not budging.

My eyes were red, my lips were purple, my body was shaking. I couldn't hold on anymore, I freed my body to embrace the ground but just then a hand caught me from behind.

"you don't have to worry, I'm here now" the soothing and reassuring voice of Ricky made me feel safe.

****

I woke up the in Ricky's car. I felt feverish and like throwing up. 

"ace how are you feeling" Ricky asked while using one hand to drive and the other to check my temperature.

"I'm fine, just a little bit cold" I replied coughing.

"this isn't just a little bit cold. You burning up for Christ sake. Who did this to you? "

I was mad at Jimmy for what he did and wanted to get back at him but I just can't tell Ricky. I don't want him doing anything foolish in anger.

"it's nothing, don't worry about it. Did you all meet at the beech this evening?, how did you find me" I said trying to change the topic.

"it was easy because your GPS was on so I tracked your cell phone".

"okay"

"it was Jimmy right.  Do you think you can hide it from me, I can read your mind damn it. How could you be so stupid enough to fall into his trap after what he has done to you in the past. He's bad news. Anytime he comes close to you, something bad happens. Why can't you gain the common sense to stay away from him".

"just because you have the ability to read minds does not give you the right to invade my privacy. Yes I'm stupid but that how it is when you like someone. You don't get common sense when it's the person you like. Do you think what he did didn't hurt me? It hurts a whole lot when the person you have a crush on since like forever just sees you just like a piece of trash."

"I'm sorry for... " he said halfway as I turned my face away from him.

When I got home, there was a note on the dinning.

Hey baby, sorry for the late notice but your mom and I had to leave to see your aunt Vanessa as she had an accident. I tried calling you but you were not picking up. Please take care of  your siblings while we are out of town especially Sophie. Remember don't let her have too much sugary stuff. We'll be back in three days. Take care. Love dad.

I took out the medicine kit from the top shelf in the kitchen and took a cold tablet then I went to check on Sophie and chase and they were already asleep.

I managed to reach my room and immediately fell on the bed.

I woke up feeling worse than yesterday. My head was aching, I was still cold and still felt like vomiting.

Beep beep...

It was a message from an unknown number.

Unknown : I need to talk to you
Me: who are you
Unknown : it's me Jimmy
Me: what do you want from me. Are you planning to finish what you couldn't finish yesterday.
Unknown : you don't understand, I need to clear up everything.
Me: there is nothing left to talk about
Unknown : just give me a chance to explain
Me: if there is anything you need to explain then say it now cause I never want to see your face  again.
Unknown : fine. My friend were starting to suspect me and had started asking questions. I need to get them of my back so I told them I was only going close to you so I can play a prank on you. What I did was not my idea but theirs. I had to comply or our secret would be exposed. I came back for you but you were already gone. I was worried of where you might be until Eric came to confront me in my house yesterday.
Me: it was a long drive to the house. You could have warned me about your plan
Unknown : I'm sorry it never crossed my mind.
Me: I'm only going to forgive you on one condition.
Unknown : what?
Me: that you are going to grant two wishes of mine.
Unknown :fine what are they
Me: there is no rush, I'll ask you at the right time.
Unknown : whatever. I heard you have cold, I'm coming over bye.

Beep beep...

Ricky: hey ace I'm coming over and also bringing soup for the cold.
Me: okay thanks.

Beep beep...

Skye : hey acey, heard you are sick. What happened? I'm coming over
Me: okay bestie. See ya.

OMG!!! Awkward.
