The Escape / Home Sweet Home

Today just made it two whole weeks that we've been stuck in this place. They ran tests on us from time to time but we also did our own little escape project.

We had all managed to know our individual abilities but still didn't know how to control it.

I knew I was able to control electricity, Ric could read minds and also move things with his mind, Adrian had supper strength, Cody can become invisible and can also make anything he wants invincible by touching it, Cassy is able to make people do whatever she wants i.e mind control and last but not the least is Jimmy, I like to refer to him as Brainiac. He had answers to every question thrown at him.

I knew that even if we managed to escape, this people will never let us be. It was clear that we were very important project for them.

For us to live anything close to our former life would be next to impossible until we have a leverage over them.

I finally cooked up a plan which I hoped would work because they haven't perfectly been able to control their abilities.

During our next routine check, Cody would become invisible and also making Jimmy invisible. When they will see that Cody and Jimmy are missing, they will be forced to come in and look for them. Cody and Jimmy will go into the general control room
and wait for their cue.

While back at the compartment, the rest of us will make distraction using our abilities so that everyone comes here and Cody and Jimmy gets the chance to download all their files and database after which we burst out of this place.

I just hope everything would go as planned because this place was really starting to piss me off.

It is now ten seconds remaining till they come for their routine check so everyone got in their rightful position as planned.

Count down ...10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,0,
Let the action begin.

As expected, they were shocked not to see Jimmy and Cody so in came the men came and out went Jimmy and Cody.

I guess that was the easiest part of my plan.

They came towards me with stun guns in their hands.
"where are your friends, where are they" he asked threatening to shoot but before he knew what was going on I gave him a taste of my electricity.

Adrian and Ric were also really cool using their powers. Cassy was not good with using her ability so she just hid behind us.

We were able to leave the compartment and went to see the what Cody and Jimmy were up to in the control room.

Jimmy just fully download all their database we got there. He also memorized the plan of the building so that we would know the easiest way out of here.

"there is an old tunnel beneath this building which directly leads to the train station but it is now sealed up" Jimmy implied.

"I bet Mr tough here could get us through" I said, poking Adrian in his muscular arm.

Jimmy started leading the us to the tunnel. On our way, I noticed that we were being pursued so I urged them to move faster.

After minutes of pursue, they finally caught up with us. "you guys keep moving forward toward the tunnel, I will try manage this problem we got here. I wouldn't want all our efforts to go to waste" I told them.

"I will stay with you, I can't leave you here all by yourself" Ric said holding unto my hands.

"you have to go with them because they are going to need all the help they've got and you know you are the only one who can get them to cooperate because they all hate each others guts. It's better that most of us gets out than none of us"

They all ran towards the tunnel and Ric kept looking back.

Before I knew it, I was completely surrounded. They were not like the guys we had fought earlier.

As I tried to attack, the first stun gun at my back made my limbs go weak. Soon, they all kept shooting and it hurts bad but at the same time, it felt as if something was about to burst out of my body.

My entire body started to glow with pure energy just like it did in the genitors closet and soon exploded leveling everyone and everything around me.

There was total blackout in the building. I didn't know I could do such a thing.

I rushed to join the others in the tunnel. Immediately Ric saw me, he wrapped me in his arm giving me the warmest embrace ever. We finally made it to the train station with the help of Jimmy's guidance.

As the train left from where ever we were for Transville, I felt relieved. I can't believe I'm saying this but I really missed my parents and siblings.

We can't tell anyone about our abilities and at the same time don't know what to tell everyone if they ask where we have been for almost three weeks.

I thought I was the only one thinking about this matter until Cassy spoke up. "what are we going to tell everyone if the ask us where we have been" she asked.

"we will just tell them that we were kidnapped by human traffickers but managed to escape before they shipped us out of the country and we didn't get to see their faces because they were wearing masks all through" Jimmy answered.

He just got to have solution to every problem right.

We finally made it to Transville and each of us went to their various houses putting in mind our cover story.

As I walked through my neighbourhood, I noticed a certain quietness which was unusual.

Getting to my house, I was shocked to see my house as quiet as a grave yard.
It was a weekend and usually, passers by would be drawn by the sweet smell of my mums cookies and waffles. My dad is usually in the garage doing one thing or the other while Sophie will be having tea party in her tree house with her dolls or playing in the front yard. Chase was bound to be in his room going about his weird daily activities.

But this was not the case when I entered the house. I searched through the sitting room, dinning room, kitchen, garage and tree house but no one was there.

Maybe they might have gone out or something but why did they leave the door opened.

As I made my way through the stairs, I saw Chase coming out of his room.
The moment he saw me, he just stood still as if he has seen a ghost.

I guess he was just surprised to see me that's all. He will become his snobbish and rude self sooner or later but this was not the case. The next thing I knew was Chase running to me and giving me a hug.

Wow!!! That's new.

He must have been really worried about me and even I missed him a lot.

As he pulled out from the embrace, he whispered something into my ears "don't ever let anyone know what just happened here else... " he smirked at me.

Gosh I really missed this evil younger brother of mine and his devilish smirks.

Just then, little princess Sophie came out all shouty and bubbly the moment she saw me. I picked her up in my hands and she hugged me tightly "I missed you so much Acey" she said looking up to me with her cute blue eyes.

"Mom, Dad. Guess whose here" she yelled out to my parents.

My mom and dad came out of their room and it seemed like mom had been crying for a while now.

I ran and hugged both of them. My mom was speechless to see me but the moment she spoke, she kept asking me more questions than I could possibly count.

"how are you? Where have you been? Are you hurt anywhere? Do you know who took you guys? Where are the rest?... "

Mom I'm alright and so are the others. We were just abducted by human traffickers but managed to escape before they shipped us out of the country.

The most important thing now is that we are all together as one family again and that's all that matters.

"I'm just really happy that my baby girl is back in good health" my dad said brushing his fingers through my hair.

"Dad, I thought I was your baby girl" Sophie said pouting at my dad.

He picked her up in his arms and said "you know you are my princess and little angel so let's just let Acey be my baby girl alright"

"alright... I'm dads princess and and little angel and you're dads baby girl. I get two pet names but you get one" she said jumping round me in excitement as if she won a gold medal.

"I'll quickly go and prepare something for you to eat because you look as skinny as a skeleton" my mum said as she mad a way to the kitchen.

"I'll inform the cops of your arrival so that they don't keep searching for you" my dad said "I'll just be in my room playing video games" Chase said before entering his room

Few minutes later, the cops came by and started going through their usual routine of asking questions.

Officer: did you see the car or the plate number of the car that was used to kidnap you?

Me: the car was a black SUV but I didn't get to see the plate number.

Officer: did you get to see the face of the kidnappers?

Me: No. They were all wearing masks but I know they were of mixed gender.

Officer: how did you all escape there?

Me: we were just lucky that all.

Officer: okay then we'll be on our way but if you remember anything important then please call me.

Me: alright officer.

After eating pasta made by my mum, I decided to go to my room and have a hot shower after which I will sleep to my heart content.

As I was about to go into bathroom, I heard a knock on my window. I rushed to the window to see who it was forgetting I was only tying a towel which only stopped a little bit below my butt.

It was Ric so I opened the window for him to come in.
"just came to see if everything went well on your side. I would have called but I guessed you wouldn't have your phone with you so I came by".

As I was about replying him, I noticed that he was not looking at me while talking then immediately realization dawned upon me when checked my body seeing only a towel.

My entire body froze up because I didn't know what to do. If I should run to wear my clothes, that would even make me feel more embarrassed and if I decide to stay like that, it would be too awkward talking to Ric.

What to do now?

"I think Ill leave now so that you can take rest. I also need rest so I'll see you in school tomorrow" Ric said before leaving through the window again.

Ric is just a a gentleman and he knew I was in a dilemma so he got me out of it by deciding to leave.

If it was some other guy, I know that they would have seized the opportunity of starring at my body to their hearts content.

After taking my bath,i went straight to bed.

Wow!!! Home sweet home

Holy molly!!!! This is my longest chapter yet. Can't believe I wrote 2057 words with this little fingers.
