The Abductions

Sometimes I watch some movies, seeing people getting abducted and I try to imagine what the hell could be going on in their mind at that particular moment. The fear in their eyes always sends some kind of weird vibe to me.
What will I do if I were in such position?

It has been a week plus since Ric and I became friends. He was a cool guy to hang out with.
Before, it was just me and Skye but now I think he is a part of my short friend list.

We have been researching on what could have possibly happened to us that could make us have such ability and also if there was anyone in the school with this abilities except us.

The sound out my phone ringing woke me from my sleep. At first, I didn't want to pick up because if there is one thing I hate, it is someone waking me from my beauty sleep.

The phone kept ringing and ringing. It seems this person is really persistent.

I groaned and sluggishly picked up the phone. It was Ric on the line.

What could he possibly want this early in the morning?

"Hello" I said in a sleepy tone.

"Oh my God, thank God you're alright. I was worried sick about you" Ric said in a rather happy tone.

"Why wouldn't I be alright" I suggested.

It was then I noticed that there was a lot of police cars moving to and fro in my street.

What could possibly be happening?

Oh!!! I almost forgot I was talking to Ric on the phone.

"Why are there cops everywhere" I asked.

"Last night, some group of people broke into the house of guy at our school's called Cody and a girls house Cassy. They were both abducted and the police have been looking for them."

I know that it's bad that they are missing but why are you so worried for me, I asked very confused.

"I watched everyone in school closely and noticed there were four others like us and Cody and Cassy were among. This is no ordinary abduction and that was why I was worried for you".

I was really starting to think that we were in some deep mess and this made me scared.

We decided to meet each other after school at our usual cafe.

It was almost time to meet up with Ric so I went to the cafe because I was curious to know what was going on.

After waiting for him for almost an hour, I became very worried that something might have happened to Ric.

Could it be that they might have also taken him or is he late because he is busy with something else.

I tried countless times calling his phone but it kept going to voicemail.

I decided to go to his house to see if he was there or if they know of his whereabouts.

When I got to his house, I only met Ginger at home.

Ginger was number five on my top ten annoying people's list. She was one of Lisa's minions and unfortunately Ric's cousin.

How could such a nice guy like Ric be related to a person like her.

she was not a bitch like Lisa but not a saint either.

She just stood by the door post chewing gum and scrutinizing me from head to toe.

This was definitely a bad idea and I knew I was going to regret it but what could I do, I needed to know the whereabouts of Ric.

"What brings you to my house miss whatever your name is"

I asked her if Ric was home or if she knows his whereabouts.

"He's not home and by the way I'm not his keeper. What do you even want with him" she said rolling her eyes at me.

"It's non of your business what I want with him" I rolled my eyes back at her to make sure didn't think I was intimidated by her.

I turned round to leave but Ginger didn't give it a rest.
"First it was Jimmy whom you were after and when he put you in your rightful place, you decided to switch to my cousin Ric. What are you? A whore or what".

She was beginning to get on my nerves. I didn't like the word "whore".

"You know Ginger, the next time you call me a whore, I'm gonna bitch slap you so hard that you wish your mum had kept her legs close" I said in a sassy manner then left her.

As I walked down the alley thinking of where Ric could be, I noticed a black SUV moving toward me.

I increased my pace and so did the SUV. I turned to the right lane in the alley only to see another SUV in my front. I was completely surrounded. I was scared to the extent I almost peed myself.

Just as I was about to scream for help, some nabbed me from behind.

The next I knew was that I was in the SUV with five masked men. I struggled to get out but suddenly felt a sharp needle piercing through my skin after which was otter darkness.
