Strange things

There are some weird things people still believe in till date like Santa coming through the chimney to deliver gifts on Christmas, or the Easter bunny who comes to deliver easter baskets or the tooth fairy who comes to take a child's tooth under the pillow and leave a dollar. People still wish to become superheroes like Superman, Batman, spiderman, green lantern etc. All this were things I considered as dumb until strange things started happening.

I woke up in the morning still feeling tired. I wish I could just skip school and play video games all day but that is definitely not possible with mom around.

I picked my phone to see if I got any messages but the phone got totally fried the moment I touched it.
"Maybe it was due to overcharged battery" I thought.

I took a quick shower, put on a pair of black pants which stopped slightly below my knee. A black top, a black leather jacket, black cap. I wanted to go all black to school but not completely so I don't look like a jock so I put on a purple shoe.

As I put off the light in my room, the bulb exploded( not literarily).

As was going down the stairs, the lights started flickering and next was when my car engine knocked down.

What is happening to me? Why is everything going wrong with me today.

I was almost late so I walked as fast as I could to avoid being late.

I got to school already late so I tried to avoid the principal so I don't get detention.

I guess luck just wasn't just on my side. "Miss Walker, why are you just coming to school" the principal asked.

Our principal is a very strict man in his fifties but too young for his age. His name is Mr Daniel Davis but the students call him triple d meaning Daniel Davis Detention.

"Hey ace did you manage to find my locker" a voice said behind me.

Ace!!! Well that's new.

I turned around to see who he was. To my greatest surprise, it was Ric. I had almost forgotten I met someone like him due to stress.

He walked up to me and put his arms on my shoulder "Morning sir. You must be the principal. Actually, I'm new here and so ace was just helping me find your office and my locker".

"Okey then, Miss Walker go ahead and show him round the school" Mr Davis insisted.

"Why did you call me ace" I asked.

Well I didn't want to call you Miss Walker, Stacey or Acey like others so I made up name only I will call you.

"He's such a strange guy" I thought.

"Did you just call me strange" he asked

"How did he hear what I thought about or did I say it out loud" I thought again.

"What are you even talking about" ric asked yet again.

Ding ding ding
The bell rang for the first lesson of the day.
We parted ways as i was going for history class while he was going for chemistry.

I got to class and pulled a chair close to Skye and sat down.
"I couldn't reach you on your phone this morning, what happened" Skye asked curiously.

When the class is over I will tell you all about it.

"Today, we will be watching a short documentary on the origin of the roman empire" Mr Humphrey said.

He set the projector close to my seat and then asked ginger to shut the windows and also switch off the lights.

Everything was going well until the projector started malfunctioning.

"Miss Walker can you adjust the wires for me" Mr Humphrey asked.

Just as I touched the wire, the shock I got threw me to the other part of the class.

My entire body felt like there was electricity inside. I thought this was due to the shock but I thought wrong.

Mr Humphrey started walking towards me very concerned. He was followed by Skye and the rest of the class.

My hands started to glow, and it was like there was pure electricity on my palms.

At this moment, I knew I didn't want anyone to see me like this or I would be called a freak so I ran out of the class and locked myself inside the genitors closet.

What's happening to me!!!

My entire body was now glowing with pure electricity. At this moment, I was terrified to the extent that I could hardly breath.

"Are you alright, open the door" Mr Humphrey said.

I could hear the voices of students outside including Skye's voice.

I couldn't possibly open the door.

Everything in the room was almost fried with the electric voltage coming out of me.

"Hey ace, it's alright. Just take a deep breath and everything is going to be alright. Remember, you are in control" a voice on the other side of the door said.

I could definitely recognize that voice and the way he speaks. He called me ace. That has to be ric.

"Just open the door and I promise that only I will come in" he assured me.

I managed to open the door and in came ric.

I know he must be terrified also, seeing me covered with electric current.

"I know you are scared as hell right now but so am I. I know you must fell that weird things are happening to you but it's not just you. I've been hearing the thoughts everyone around since I woke up this morning. At first I thought I was crazy but you have to get a grip of your self right now and we'll go through this together" Ric said with assurance on his face.

Few minutes had passed now and I was now calm with the help of Ric. He was a great guy and I'm always myself around him like when I'm with Skye. Now that get a close look at him, he was a good looking guy and even better looking than Jimmy jackass.

"How are we going to explain this place being like this to everyone" I asked ric.

"Don't worry, that I can take care of" he said as if he has done something like this before.

He brought out a lighter from his pocket and lit a piece of paper and put it in the air vent. Suddenly the there goes the fire alarm.

The whole school was scattered with students running here and there. It was our opportunity to leave the genitors closet. Ric made everything look like there was a fire in there before we left.

I got home later in the evening after hanging out all day with Ric.

Skye was in my room already in her PJs waiting for me. "We are having a girls night together. It's gonna be fun. Yeeee".

I know she did all this only to get know what was wrong with me because she cares a whole lot for me and so do I but I don't think she was going to understand. Even I don't understand what's wrong with me.

" whose that handsome cute guy that went into the closet with you earlier today" she asked all excited.

Well that's Eric, the guy that who was stuck with me in the cave. He's Ginger's cousin who just started attending Transville.

Skye jumped here and there getting all giddy and excited.

I think we should go to bed now cause I'm really really tired plus we have school tomorrow.

We both went to bed but that was after I received a message from ric saying "good night".
