Dilemma

This is a circumstance in which a choice must be made between two or more alternatives. In solving a case of dilemma, one must know what he or she really wants but it seems like most people don't know what they want.

Everything in my life is almost normal again. Almost in the sense that a girl with super abilities can't be regarded as normal.
Jimmy was fully healed from the gun shot injury while Ricky and i were on speaking terms again.
The thought of everything falling in place made me really happy. Within the past few weeks, i had become closer than ever with Jimmy.

"You seem happy today nuggets" Jimmy said poking me.

"I'm just happy that everything is now alright with everyone" i replied.

"that doesn't seem to be the only reason nuggets" he smirked.

"what's up guys"Skye greeted.
"Your friend is what's up. She keeps smiling for some reason unknown to me"

"Did something happen, you'll have to give me all the juicy details"  Skye made a silent scream.

"No. Nothing happened and by the way i didn't know smiling was now illegal" i snorted.

"okay fine. Why don't we talk about the bad guys" Skye suggested.

"what about them" Jimmy asked nonchalantly.

"Dude you got shot and almost died and you can still say that so care freely" Skye rolled her eyes.

"she's right Jimmy. We need to find more about them in order to prevent what happened to you from happening to anyone else" i stated.

"okay fine, I'll text the rest to meet up tomorrow evening but i have something to tell you"

"what is it" i asked.
"okay guys we'll see later" Skye trailed of but not before she winked at me.

"Are you free this evening" Jimmy asked. His he like really going to ask me out.

"hmm... Yes of course... I mean...what would i be doing" i stuttered. Why do i manage to make a fool out of myself. Would it kill me to just say yes.

"okay then I'll pick you up by seven"

"okay me too... I mean I'll be ready" gosh!!! whats wrong with me.

"see ya later then nuggets" he trailed off.

As i walked into class, a humongous grin covered my face. I sat down and started arranging my books carefully on the table.
Omg!!! me and Jimmy together on a date, what if he asks me to be his girlfriend, i mentally screamed.

"Wow ace, what are you thing of that you didn't notice me" Ricky asked.

"I'm sorry, i was just thinking about the numerous assignment i have" i lied. Why didn't i just tell him, after all he already knew about my crush on Jimmy.

"i didn't know assignments could make people grin so much and even blush" he smirked.

"hmm..." i stopped to clear my throat.
"dont tell me you watched or are thinking of something erotic" he widened his eyes.

"stop taunting me Ricky" i hit his arm.

"lol... Did you see the look on your eyes when i said it"

"stop it" i turned away feeling embarrassed.

"will you like to go bowling this evening" he asked.

"i don't even know how to bowl" replied.

"I'll teach you, don't worry"

"okay fine" i agreed.

"ill pick you up by seven"he offered.

"okay sure" i smiled.

"hey bestie" Skye entered into my
house.

"what took you so long? I've been waiting for you since like forever"

"forget about that. So what did he tell you" she asked.

"he asked me on a date" i screamed, jumping on the couch.

"omg!!! Acey, so you are really going out on a date with Jimmy" she jumped with me.

"Keep it down both of you" mum yelled.

"yes mum" i grinned.

Buzz buzz... My phone vibrated.

I'm sorry, can you meet me up at the bowling alley yourself. My car is having problems.

Just then i froze. My brain finally started processing what I've done. How could i be this stupid. If i was told that someone did something like this, i would have insulted the person.

"what happened Acey" Skye asked looking worried.

"I'm in deep shit" i face palmed myself
"Language young lady" dad said trailing of to meet mum in the kitchen.

"i accepted Ricky's invitation to the bowling alley after accepting Jimmy's invitation to go on a date. What do i do Skye"

"just tell Ricky you'll have to cancel because you forgot you're going on a date with Jimmy"

"i can't tell him that"
"why can't you? Its not as if he doesn't know you already have a crush on Jimmy"

"i know but i don't want to tell him"

"so you want to cancel your date with jimmy to go to the bowling alley with Ricky? Are you sure you don't have other special feelings for Ricky because the Acey i knew wouldn't miss this opportunity to go out with Jimmy"

"it's nothing like that. I just hate breaking my promises. Are you helping or making it worse with all this assumptions of yours"

"okay just tell Ricky I'm sick and you will be staying with me tonight. Problem solved" she must really feel like a genius. "don't forget to send it through text message or he'll get to know you're lying" she added.

" what would i do without you"

"Absolutely nothing acey" she smirked.

Skye had gone to all extreme to make me look pretty and her efforts was fruitful. Suddenly the door bell rang.

"I'll get it" i yelled to prevent my mum or my dad from opening the door.
I rushed down stairs as fast as my legs could carry me.

"make sure your back by nine baby" dad said as i went out to meet Jimmy.
"yes dad" i replied.

"You look nice" jimmy smiled "may we go now milady" he used a fake British accent.
"But of course young sir" i imitated.

The drive was nice and silent. After few minutes we reached a restaurant.

"were here nuggets" Jimmy opened my door.

The place was fancy but at the same time it looked cozy and may i say, affordable. It had nice flowers planted around it which gave the place a special feeling.

We were directed to our seats. It seems he already made a reservation.
" what would you like to have" the female waiter asked us.
She had a pink hair which hung up in a high ponytail. I've always fancied girls with pink hair. I wonder if it will look good on me.
I scanned the manu but don't seem to have any idea about what to pick.

"we'll have fruit salad, chicken nuggets, some French fries and a bottle of non alcoholic wine" Jimmy ordered.
He seemed organized unlike me. Though i was still feeling uneasy about lying to Ricky, i was enjoying myself.

Few minutes later, she came back with our order.

"so do you like it here" Jimmy asked.
"yeah, its so cozy. Thanks for bringing me"

"I'm glad i did"
We started eating in a awkward silence. It was like none of us knew what to say.

"so do you bring all your dates here"

"No. Just the ones i like" he smiled and continued eating.
I couldn't help but choke on my drink.

Way to go acey. It's not like he asked you to marry him.

"are you okay" jimmy asked

"hmm... I'm fine, i just need to use the rest room".
"okay" he replied.

I finally came to a conclusion that luck wasn't on my side  today because the minute i turned around, i met face to face with Ricky with blondy standing behind him.

"i know what..." but before i could finish my statement, he just walked passed me as if he didn't know me.

I walked into the restroom and tried calling him but he wasn't picking up.

Was this how it feels to be caught red handed. It was clear that he was mad at me and wasn't planning to pick my call anytime soon. Why was Jessica with him again. She seemed like an evil presence that was always there whenever Ricky and i fought.

I went and joined jimmy back at the table. Jessica kept laughing and throwing me weird glances. I wasn't comfortable anymore.

"can we leave now, I'm having a slight headache" i said.
" sure, I'll just pay the bills then we'll go"

"Thanks and sorry for ruining everything"

"it's okay. Anything for you nuggets" he smiled.
