Shreya Pov

"What if they are our divorce papers?" I asked him blankly looking into his eyes. Shock! that is all written on his face, before I could read his expressions he closed his eyes. After sometime he opened his eyes which are red now "If that is what you want, you got them" he said in hoarse voice. 

I turned around and walked away cursing him. How can he be calm and not react to this? Cant he fight with me and sort out issues between us? Karthik!! You cannot act like me. I will not let you do that. 

I got ready for the party, I tried to look as pretty as I can. This dress really made me look so, Mr.Karthik get ready to be . . Wait and watch. 

Karthik Pov

Divorce!!? When Shreya said about it I felt the ground under my feet has shattered. Before she could know what I am thinking I closed my eyes. Shreya knows me well and I know her too, she cannot see me hurt and broken. If that is what she wants I will give it but somewhere I know they are not any divorce papers. If they are? This 'if ' is killing me.

"If that is what you want, you got them" I said with much difficulty. She left murmuring something, I felt like she is going away from me. With heavy heart I came to party, I could not miss it as its my Shreya's party for their new branch. 

As promised Suchi did not make it a business party instead all the family were enjoying like a sangeet party. I saw Shreya in the dress I gifted her, she is looking beautiful in it. I did not join anyone of them thinking what happened before.  One after other all couples started dancing.

Nishanth and Anokhi were the best for me, I feel more connected to them and their love is seen in their eyes. My sis Isha is little dominating and Ankith obeys her, may be Shreya and me would make the best. I smiled at this thought, it felt so good. Just then Ashish came and asked for Shreya's hand for dance. Shreya looked at me and gave her hand to him.

"Now we will get the best performance from best couple" someone shouted making my heart sink more. Both of them danced well, thankfully its not salsa. I sat in a corner lost in my thoughts.

Shreya Pov

After dance when I came down my eyes searched for him, he sat alone thinking something. I might have hurt him but it serves him good. "Can I have a word with you?" Preetisha asked. "You can ask anything anytime" I said with a smile. 

"I know whatever decision you take its good but why cant you give a chance to my bro?" she asked with tears in her eyes. Before I could answer she went towards Karthik. All my friends and family are saying same, why cant they think what I am feeling?

"You too think so?" I questioned Ankith. "I want only that which makes you happy, make your choices wisely accordingly. I am always there with you in whatever decision you take" he assured me. I wiped the tears forming in my eyes and went near Karthik.

"You can atleast try na! Ask for a chance bro" Preetisha said shaking his shoulders. "Leave it Preet, if someone does not like it what can we do? If he cannot be jealous or possessive its not our mistake" I said in stern voice. He came out of his thoughts and looked at us. "May be he likes you dancing with other men" Preetisha winked at me and we suppressed our smile.

"Never! I cannot let you do that again" Karthik pulled me towards him and held my waist. "Took you so much time to do this" I said with a naughty smile. "My hands were itching to do this" he said making his grip stronger. 

"I hope you all enjoyed, there is an announcement to be made" Suchi said and handed mic to Ashish's mom. "I am very glad to announce that Ashish is getting engaged" she said with a huge grin making all of us clap and shout. "Where are you Shreya?" she asked and I felt Karthik became uncomfortable. I waved my hand to her and she signed me to join her. 

I tried to leave but Karthik did not let me. "He is not getting engaged to me" I said in his ears and a small smile came on his face. "You look cute when you are jealous" I winked at him.

"Ashish your love is waiting for you go and bring her" she surprised all of us. We dont know that she planned it for her son, nothing can beat mothers love. Ashish made a dashing entry with his girl, by seeing her my jaw dropped. I searched for the eyes which are equally shocked like mine. I saw Nishanth approaching me with same expression as mine. We stood there in awe blinking our eyes, absorbing the fact. She too saw us and got surprised.

She came running to us "Shreyu! . . Nishu!" she said and hugged us. "Divya di!!" we shouted. After a long time we saw our leader, "So you are the special Shreya whom Ashish talks about. Now I am not insecure" she said. We chatted for sometime "So he is the Mr.Rude and Arrogant Karthik?" she questioned pointing Karthik. I held his arm in mine "He is Mr.Sweet and Handsome Karthik" I said glaring at her.

I dragged Karthik with me to our room "Sorry" I said holding my ears. "You need not be" he said hugging me. "You are looking gorgeous" he complimented. "My sweet husband chose this dress for me, how can i not look so?" I said and bit my tongue. I am trying to flirt with my husband! Oh Shreya! What are you doing! I cursed myself and went to change.

When I came out I saw Karthik standing in same place with a devilish smile. "I need your laptop, I have some work" I asked not looking at him. "Its there, you need not ask me Shreya. Whatever is mine its yours too" he said closing gap between us. 

I sat happily on bed with pillows around me and opened laptop. There is no password but the wallpaper made my heart flutter. Its me sleeping with Nivaan in my arms and Karthik eyeing us lovingly. I could not stop admiring it. "When did you made this your wallpaper?" I asked working on my report. "The day I took the pic" he said with a smile "and its true" he said with a frown.

I completed my work and saw him still frowning. "See this" I said handing over papers he signed. He took them and gave a quick glance. "What is this? Why did you transfer your shares of Pratishtha Corp. on my name?" he asked in anger. "Relax! I wanted to do, so I did" I said holding his hand. "You took my words to heart, I did not mean them" he said in pleading tone.

"I know Karthik! You did not mean them. What if some other person says that Suchi and Shreya are friends for business? We are always friends first then partners. So I transferred half of my shares to you and Suchi did the same to Yash" I explained.

"Suchi does not want our company to go out of us. I think you understand" I added. He did not react.

"You can stay for few more days na! See all are staying except you" Suchi's mom asked while having breakfast. "Ashish and Divya will be hurt if you leave now" Suchi tried to blackmail.

"You all know I got promoted, there will be so much work and I cant postpone it anymore. Its like running away from my responsibilities" I said and they accepted. I patted my back in my mind as I used right arrow.

"Karthik you can stay no?" Yash asked and I glared at him. "I will go with Shreya" Karthik said and we bid bye to all.

"Where are we going? This is not airport route" Karthik whined.

"I am planning to kidnap you" I said in husky tone.

Karthik Pov

Kidnap me!! Great. "You can do that but why did you lie to all about work?" I questioned her.

"I did not. I really have work may be you dont" she said rolling her eyes.

"Tell me where are we going?" I demanded. "Kidnapers dont give information like this" she said smiling.

"I would love to be with you my whole life. Take me wherever you want, I am all yours" I placed my hand over her hand and dozed off.

"We reached" I woke up hearing these words. Now I am in a hotel room at an unknown place with my wife. "If you want take rest or else we will go out" Shreya suggested.

"Where shall we go?" I said pulling her towards me. "Where we can have fun" she said playfully.

Being with Shreya is so blissful. She brings out the real me. How many times I thank my destiny and god for bringing her in my life, would be less.

After coming back she got ready in the saree I bought for her and I too got ready as she ordered.

"You are looking devilishly handsome" Shreya said making me blush. "Someone is being bold these days" I teased her.

"No compliments for me?" She asked with a puppy face. "I cannot say those words Shreya" I said with a smirk which made her blush. "See without saying you are blushing, if I say them out you will look like a tomato" I said making her smile. She hid her face in my chest and hugged me.

"I love y.. this" I stopped myself saying it. Shreya looked at me surprised but gave a beautiful smile. She caught my words, that spark in her eyes told me.

She took me somewhere, "Would you like to dance with me?" Shreya forwarded her hand. "Here?" I asked looking around. "Here" she said opening a big door beside us.

It looked like a ball room where many couples are already dancing. I gave her my hand involuntarily and started dancing. It felt like I am living my dream.

"Thank you so much Shreya" I said kissing her. "This is fund raising program of Green Peace organisation to provide education. All are here to donate and gather funds" she said proudly.

"You are doing good job. Let me also donate" I said pulling out. "I already did" she said stopping me. "Nothing wrong in doing again" I said and followed her.

When we came back home I felt our bond is stronger now. Making our life better and filling her life with love are my ultimate goals of life.
