Shreya pov

As the days are passing I observed Karthik is back to his original. He started ignoring me but I can see he is working like a machine. Whatever may be the reason I cant let our relation suffer. "You are very busy these days, May I help you?" I asked while he is working on laptop. "Did I ever interfere in your work?" he asked raising his eye brow.

Damn . . I do not know how to that, I tried many times. "No" I answered politely. "Then!! you can see I am busy so please try not to disturb me" he said seriously. Messing up with Karthik while he is working is equal to death. This is the lesson I learnt today. I understood that Karthik never breaks promises made by him. To make sure that I am not hurt he took me for coffee for three days as compensation. Its weird but I am happy. But now he is not even caring.

I cannot stress myself like this with these thoughts.Even I have so much work at office, moreover because of Suchi's health, all meetings of Pratishta Corp. are to be dealt by me. When we immerse our self in work then no other thought will reach our brain. Presently I am doing that only . . After attending a meeting at clients place my phone buzzed.

"Hey devil, How do you know that meeting is over?" I asked. "As I know precisely how much time you take to finish it off" Suchi said. "Is everything ok?" she asked. "Suchi I think we have to search for new supplier, the existing one is not ethical, what if he does not supply at peak time? They know we are going to open new plant so doing all drama" I said. "We will deal with it, I will see who else are better" Suchi said seriously. I know when it comes to business how serious she is . .

"So how is the baby? You are not troubling it na?" I asked her. "I am not troubling baby but its father. I do not know how will Yash survive with my mood swings" Suchi said in a sad tone. "Yash is the best, he can bear you" I said laughing. "Very funny, Hey Shreya I feel that Anokhi is hiding something from us" she said in a worried tone. "She is not talking regularly does not mean she is hiding. She is a doctor so may be . ." "No dear, trust me. I know she is busy. Whenever she is tensed or hiding secret then only she avoids us" she said while I was trying to explain. "Devil do not worry, I will bring her secret out" I assured her. I already know what is that and I will tell Suchi when time comes.

I came home tired and saw Karthik is already there. I prepared dinner as Karthik likes my cooking. "Mr.Dutt's anniversary invitation came today and do you know what is the surprise this time?" Dad asked. "Will be something weird for sure" mom said. "He wants only people under 30's to attend, how disgusting?" Dad said with sad face. "Mom I think dad is feeling sad as he cannot attend" I said with smile. "Mr.Dutt wants only young people around so that he will also feel young" Karthik said.

"One more is that we should attend in couples but need not be with spouses. We can take anyone we want" Dad said. "Thats because Mr.Dutt met his wife first time like that at a party. He wants that magic to happen in someone else life too" I said making them shocked. "How do you know?" Karthik asked me. I know as he personally told me but I do not want to say that. "Anyone from family or company could attend on our invitation" dad said saving me from answering. "Give your invitation to me dad, I want Isha and Ankith to attend" Karthik said. How sweet of him . .He thinks so much about others, I patted his back in my thoughts.

"So Shreya get everything ready for party, I want you to look the best" Mom said suddenly. "Why? Does she have invitation?" Karthik asked. "She is your wife so she will come with you" mom said in confused tone. His question made us all confused. "No I am going with someone else" he said plainly. "Karthik!! Why to go with someone when you have your wife" Dad shouted. I have never seen Mr.Arun in this much anger. "Whatever . .My decision is final" saying this Karthik went out.

"Dad please calm down, it happens" I tried to cam him. "You will miss enjoyment Shreya! Mr.Dutt sees that couples get closer in his parties. That is why they are like famous" he said and closed his eyes to control anger. "He makes us sing, dance, play games and what not but we cannot guess what he will surprise" mom said. "I am planning to wear black saree mom, will it be ok?" I asked. "If there is some dance or games you cannot manage try something else" she said. "Wait!! Vasudha did you observe what she said?" Dad asked in surprise. Then mom too understood. "How will you attend party?" she mumbled. "I have my ways" I said with a smirk. "Thats like my girl" Dad said with a proud smile and mom gave me hug.

So what is Shreya going to do? Next chapters are my favorite, I am waiting to write them from starting.
