Backstory: Samira's family is Bengali, and deeply rooted in their culture. However, she didn't always fit into the standards they held. She knew from the age of twelve that she was attracted to women, but didn't tell her parents until about a year later. As expected, it didn't go too well. Since then, tensions are high between her and her parents. However, her younger sisters, Hadara and Dhalia, remain close with her and tell her of all family events.
Samira received her degree in nursing after taking a gap year out of high school, then proceeded to work at another hospital before transferring to GVM.
