Milo's POV bet you weren't expecting that

I smiled warmly at this excitable and warm-hearted girl gasping in awe, at the sights I presumed. She never noticed it though, I just wish she would notice it. Sometimes I don't think she'll ever notice my affections, but I do keep dreaming of the day she does. "Hey, Milo come see!" There's that voice, that voice I live for each day.

"Look at that. Isn't it just amazing?" She was in wonder as she looked at the town of Hammerlocke. "It's wonderful," I gazed at the town along with her and mumbled, "and so are you." She looked at me confused, "nothing." I brushed off, Darnit I need to tell her, just the courage always is just out of reach. We continued down the bridge, the short girl collecting the feathers on the gray bricks. "This one is gorgeous!" She showed it to me, looked like one of a Braviary. I smiled looking down at her feather then to her captivating eyes, "It's beautiful." I wanted to add 'just like you.'

Adjusting the bag on my back, we continued down the bridge. "Hey, do you ever think we'll see Leon again? Well until the champion battle." She asked me, I cringed at his name but forced a happy expression for her. "I honestly don't know, knowing how rushed he is I doubt it," I answered simply. Her face dropped slightly but instantly became excited again, would she do that if she couldn't see me? I shook my head, "Why'd you stop Milo?" She was on her tiptoes and in my face, I pulled my head back and blushed. "N-no reason." I stuttered, God I hate that, she got out of my face and started off again.

After a good ten minutes, we got off the bridge and made it to solid soil. I heard a shuffling in my bag, I took it off and out popped Zigzagoon. I smiled at him though mentally frowned he could get out on his own. "Hey Zigzagoon, you wanted to see Hulbury too?" I put my bag back over my shoulders and Zigzagoon stayed inside with his head popped out. 'Zig goon.' He rested his head on my shoulder, "Yeah I know I just... I just find it impossible to talk to her without feeling embarrassed with myself." I replied to him, 'Zig zag zig goon.' Zigzagoon continued. I huffed, "You're completely right. But how should I do that?" I asked, for a pokemon Zigzagoon was a good pep talker. 'Goon zig zig!' He barked, what a good idea. I thought and brushed my hand against Zigzagoon's head.

After the talk I had with Zigzagoon, I noticed she had a pokemon battle. Her pokemon were tired though not too exhausted, "You win?" I asked though it was quite obvious. "Yep! That other trainer never stood a chance." She grew excited again, I loved it when she got excited it warmed me inside. "That's great. Look it's the entrance to Hulbury." I pointed out at the tunnel leading to the port city.

"So it is, there is a Pokemon Center just there!" She quickly returned her pokemon to their Pokeballs and rushed through the tunnel with me in tow. "Hey wait up!" I called as I rushed after the running girl.

I finally caught up, to see her getting her pokemon healed by Nurse Joy. Since she would probably forget, I went to the Pokemart and bought some potions and Pokeballs. "Hey got you some stuff, since you'd probably forget." I handed her the items, "Oh..." I started to feel worry creep up when she trailed off.

"Thanks so much! You're the best!" Her voice grew extremely excited as she threw her arms around me. I was shocked, again, when she did this though there was something I haven't done before. I hugged back. She broke the hug after a minute, "You think of everything, Milo. Thank you." She thanked me again and beamed at me.

I heard a phone go off, it was my travel partner's. "Nessa is asking if we got here. They're waiting by the lighthouse." She told me once she looked up from her phone. "Okay then, I guess we should head over." I voiced. "Nessa will get mad if we don't!" The smaller girl screeched, grabbed my hand, and rushed off again with me in tow.

"Do you even know how to get to the lighthouse?!" I questioned while trying to get her to stop. "Nope!" She then skidded to a halt and looked up at me. "Can you show me? I mean you've been here before, so obviously-" I cut her off, "Of course, I'll lead the way." I smiled at her and took the lead at a slower pace, still holding her much smaller hand.

"Hey, Milo?" I heard her voice, I hummed in response. "How do you feel about Ness?" How do I feel about her?, I restated in my mind. "I see her as a friend, uhh is there something more I should feel for her?" I got nervous. She looked lost in thought, "You okay?" I asked as her face became flushed. "U-uh I'm fine." As much as I wanted to say, 'No you're not fine just tell me what is wrong' I didn't and just continued on.

She started rambling about how pretty it was here in Hulbury, I was listening intently as we walked to the lighthouse. You could tell we were getting closer because of the smell of salt getting stronger and the sound of Wingulls getting louder. "Look it's the lighthouse!" The girl next to me screeched.

I smiled warmly at this excitable and warm-hearted girl gasping in awe at the lighthouse, this girl that stole my heart. I ask myself sometimes, 'Is this love?' And I always say yes. Because this girl is like no other in my eyes.
