2. The Fog
All began with the hike idea of my father for my nineteenth birthday during the school holidays. We crammed all our things into two suitcases on the car back. I've already slid the notebook that Cynthia gave to me so that I don't forget it and can describe the hike.
"Gonna make great fun there." father exclaimed, smiling cheekily, tapping the carmine-red Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 on the roof, mounting in the driver's seat and beckoned me to climb in too. Suddenly he pressed the honk three or four times, ear-splittingly. He often does it when usually someone is late. It was mother with her olive black bob cut hair and dimpled cheeks coming hurriedly.
Mother came up rushing recklessly, wearing his gown at the same time. The sky was dark along with the massive lowering clouds. There was rainfall, the pregnant drops of water were splashing so hard that it buried underneath the soil, forming spots of mud on the ground. Mother came ultimately having a seat next to father then shut the door. Father turned on the key and rumbled and revved up the way that was really far away. Dad turned on the radio and the song Monster by the Walking On Cars. And we sang along with the music, enjoying ourselves.
After the thirty-minutes passed away, my stomach screamed with hungry. Mum could you give me that banana chips snack. Mother gave a small polite smile like an air hostess and leaned me the recommended snack. I teared it up and commence to fill my belly. Jimmy was snugged as a bug on my legs. The rain converted into a drizzle then ended.
"We've reached halfway. It's truly far away from us." dad announced, in a teacherly manner, "It's quite misty here. My god, look at that briar. Can't even see anything." he told, jaw-droppingly.
"You better drive slowly." mum suggested, worriedly, placing her hand on father's shoulder and he nodded back.
It was paradisiacally surrounded by thick fog, enclosed ourself into the smoke. It was absolutely ghost-grey outside over having the evaporating water on the road of the past rainfall before we arrived. It was noiseless and sluggish. The path was deserted no other vehicles passed by. It was strangely eye-popping. My eyes rolled continuously through the window. When I looked forwards...
