1 - Timeless and Weightless
The good bye hung heavily over our heads and tainted the air with sorrow. We both knew he had to go, that's just who he was.
"I promise you I'll be back my Jane." He whispered tenderly as he hugged me tightly.
"I know you will." He cupped my face in his hand, gently wiping away my tears with his thumb. "I love you Philip." My voice wavered with emotions.
He hesitated a moment no one had ever told him that they loved him. Sure his brother loved him and they both knew that but neither one of them wanted to be the first to say it.
"I Love you too Jannie, so much." A single tear ran down his face alone as he lent in to kiss me softly on the mouth.
I wrapped my arms around him and began to sob into his chest after the kiss.
He stroked my hair lovingly before kissing me on the forehead.
"I have to go now but I promise you, we will meet again, in this world or the next." With that being said he stepped through the gates of hell into the unknown.
I was alone now, just waiting for the day my love would return to me. I waited and waited. I waited for weeks. I waited for months. I waited for years. But eventually one gets tired of waiting.
He told me to never go into the other realm no matter what, but something was definitely wrong. I couldn't just go on without him, so I decided I'd find away to him no matter where he was.
I had been cleaning Caleb and Philips house regularly in the hopes that they might return, and in doing so I stumbled across the journals of the eldest Wittebane brother. Never in my life had I been more grateful for the obsessive journaling of those to.
It took me an hour or so of frantically flipping through pages to finally find the one with what I needed.
I read over it carefully, making sure to remember every step, every location mentioned.
As it turned out Caleb had hidden a stash of something he called 'Titans Blood' in the cemetery. Whatever it was I hoped this 'titans blood' didn't expire.
And soon I set off into the night on horse back, it wasn't safe for me to walk alone at night. Soon it began to rain. Heavily.
With the rain pelting down on me from above i finally mad it to the cemetery quickly rushing to the place Caleb had written about.
Soon I found a vile of an odd dark blue liquid. From the description he gave I knew this was it.
In my hand I held the vile smashing it over the arch of the cemetery gates as I did the gate was transformed into a door between realms. On the other side of the door I could see a world somewhat like my own but just different enough to be off putting.
The rain continued to pour down, slowly washing the titans blood away. The portal started glitching.
It was now or never. With my eyes closed tightly I stepped through into oblivion.
My body felt weightless. Opening my eyes I found I was surrounded by what could be millions of stars. I reached out to touch something but this world was infinite and barren.
I don't know how long I was there, time didn't pass correctly in the world almost like it didn't exist, maybe this world it's self didn't exist.
It wasn't meant to exist or at least if feels like it shouldn't. A void between worlds. That where I was.
I was their for thousands of years but perhaps I wasn't their at all. I was everything and I was nothing all at once.
Floating in the darkness of the void I saw light appear before me. The light consumed me engulfing my entire being in a warm glow.
I felt myself hit the floor. Actually touching something solid was an experience that I had missed dearly. I opened my eyes.
I lay the the ground before the feet of a gold and white figure his face covered by a mask. He stood over me like an obelisk of power, the very presents of which were enough to tell you-
-He was omnipotent, yes I was sure now. This was god.
