Prologue (7 years earlier)

The cards lay out on the table spread about, the images on the card were so specific, they matched him perfectly. The first card showed a tall teenager around the age of 17, which was his age, with blonde hair and brown eyes, shades and a bear onesie. The next card held a teenager with mousy brown hair and brown eyes. He had an orange sweater on and had a space helmet, which was odd since people didn't usually go about wearing that kind of stuff. He wore black jeans and rainbow socks. If you looked closely you could see a small NASA pin on the collar of his sweater.  The third card contained them meeting, one with suppressed nervousness the other with curiosity. The fourth card showed the two of them one walking away with despair the other with sincerity. The fifth and final one showed the unknown teenager meeting another person that wore a gas mask.

"Where did you even find these?" He asked, leaning back in his chair.

"The thrift store, its like I was destined to find these!" the person sitting across from him with brown hair and a gas mask on his face exclaimed leaning forwards.

"They're very.... Accurate." He responded.

"Blaza, trust me that's just how these cards are!"

"Laff, I don't know about these." Blaza said skeptically. His voice strained, part of him wanted to meet the teenager wearing orange, another part of him found this a little odd. "It's all extremely specific, like how would these cards know exactly what we look like?" Blaza asked, pointing to the first card that showed him in a confident pose. His sunglasses sitting on the end of his nose. Pointing to the final card with his other hand shifting his hand to fully show Laff. The other person in the card looked so closely to Laff that it was uncanny.

"Yeah I guess you're right," Laff said, "Although it's still pretty cool." He said. "Anyways my parents are going to be closing down the diner in a few minutes so wanna go somewhere else?" He asked Blaza.

"Alright I guess." Blaza shrugged. Laff stood up and stared at the pile of cards that sat on the table.

"One more card couldn't hurt right?" He asked as he flipped the card over and set it behind the fifth card. The card had Laff and the orange sweater person standing in front of a store, they looked a few years older, around twenty five. A teenager stood in front of them. He had a black suit and a pink tie. With two tophats on his head with a pink ribbon. "Who is that?" Laff asked. Blaza was stumped so he just simply shrugged. "Another one?" Laff asked, already reaching for the pile of cards.
Blaza frowned, "No Laff I think that's enough." Blaza said scooping the cards up one card flew off the pile but both Laff and Blaza took no notice. He grabbed the box and shoved the cards inside. Closing the box gently he handed it to Laff who put it in a messenger bag that he carried around instead of the usual backpack. "Anyways I think I found a place to eat." Blaza said.

"Where?"

"Its a place called Foolish food," Blaza said looking at the navigation on his phone. "Interesting name."  He muttered. Laff walked over to the door and held it open for Blaza. As they left they completely forgot about the card laying on the floor. The wind from the door closing blew the card and it flipped over revealing a raven haired black teenager with two tophats holding a box of cards similar to the box of fortune cards that Laff had.
