Chapter 2 – What's lost can be found

Kara was at CatCo, in James office, working on a new project that would help society sees aliens in a different way and maybe she could bring more people to support the cause and Nia helped her with that when Thea Queen arrived.

- I asked about you and they told me to come here – Thea said as Kara got up from the desk and hugged her.

- Is everything ok? Oh... - Kara turned to Nia – This is Thea, Oliver's sister.

- Hi, I'm Nia Nal – She smiled, greeting Thea – Nice to meet you.

- You too – Thea smiled as they all sat down.

- Where's Oliver? – Kara asked, curious.

- He told me he was going to check on something with Clark and would meet us later at your place. I think he's onto something about that Liberty guy...

- Already? Wow, that's fast – Nia said as she looked surprised at Kara.

- I gave him information about what we had, before he came...

- He went to bed late; he spent hours doing some research too. If I know my brother well, he won't rest until this guy meets the Green Arrow.

Kara noticed the look on Thea's face, it was of deep worry and she knew exactly why. Nia stared from Thea to Kara, feeling a bit lost.

- We'll back him up, we won't let anything happen to him – Nia said

- Oh, is not Ollie I'm worried about – Thea said – I mean, I'm worry he ends up getting arrested here too...

- I'm kind of afraid to ask but... Why? – Nia couldn't be more confused.

Kara has told her some things about their team ups on Earth 1 and about her friends Oliver and Barry, but the way Thea was talking; it felt like it was way deeper than what she heard before.

- My brother... He has been through a lot, and he has a certain way of dealing with stuff like this...

- And by the look on your face, so does you – Nia said.

- Yes. I also have been through a lot.

- Hey, it's ok – Kara said as she sat by Thea's side. – I trust both of you, I know you guys have been through a lot, but I also have seen how far Oliver came, and by what he told me, you did too. We got this. And I'1m glad you guys are here helping us.

Kara knew about Thea's situation, dealing with the bloodlust in the past, and how many people she had killed against her will, because of her father, and the fact that she couldn't control her anger sometimes and all the violence she had witnessed. She knew it was hard for her to get involved with situations like National City had right now, and it meant the world for Kara that she still wanted to come and help.

- Ollie told me... About the DEO. I'm sorry that happened, but... It's their loss – Thea said. – You are way too much of a badass to be held back by them anyways.

- Ok, I already like you – Nia said excitedly, making Thea laugh. She turned to Kara and put her hand on Kara's shoulder - See? I'm not the only one who thinks that. We got to put together a badass team, you know? You're not alone Kara!

- You got us, and my brother, and your cute cousin – Thea teased, making them laugh. – This lunatic doesn't stand a chance!

- You're right, they don't – Kara said, looking optimistic at them.

- So, I stopped by to tell you that while Ollie was doing his research, I was helping him to cross some information with all the stuff you shared with us, we found out that they are using some special paint to mark aliens houses. The dogs that they walk around the streets, they can identify aliens...

- That's why those guys stopped in front of that old house yesterday. Their dogs wouldn't stop barking... later that night, the alien family went missing. – Nia said – We need to find those aliens, if they're still alive...

- They are... I know they are – Kara said – and we will help them.

Kara's phone rang and she picked it up, as Nia and Thea talked to each other, with Nia teasing her about crushing on Clark and how they both thought something happened between Oliver and Kara because of the way they acted around each other.

- I mean, if nothing happened, it will soon... Have you seen them talking to each other? It looks like those teenagers in love – Nia laughed.

- Oh, I know. – Thea nodded with her head – He got really excited about coming here.

- He wasn't the only one I see.

- In my case, it was really the need of changing the atmosphere. Ollie told me how this Earth was different and I guess that's exactly what I needed. Star City isn't the place for me right now, I was already planning on leaving.

- I'm glad you're here... Because something tells me we'll become besties, I can't torment Kara alone – Nia laughed

- Yep – Thea laughed as she lifted her palm to hig-five Nia.

Kara turned around, after hanging up and stared at Thea an Nia.

- Lena just called... She's having a fundraiser tonight to help the alien families struggling because of the Children of Liberty. She invited me and Clark to go and I told her we would bring guests, so yes, you're all going too – She smiled.

- It's really nice of her to do this. – Thea said.

- Yes. She asked for Supergirl and Superman to make a speech, maybe this will help bring more people to join the cause and help too.

- It's ok, she knows... - Nia said as she noticed Thea's worried face.

- Ok... Well, I'll tell my brother to pick something fancy then – She smiled – I'll see you guys later, I also need to find something to wear tonight.

- I'll come with you, because my wardrobe currently lack decent party outfits – Nia said – Want to come with us? – She looked at Kara.

- I wish I could, but I have a lot to do here. I'll grab something to wear later, you guys go and have fun – Kara smiled ad waved them goodbye, focusing back on her work.

Oliver and Clark stopped for a coffee as they talked about ways they could find Agent of Liberty, when James showed up, in a hurry to speak to Clark bout the Agent of Liberty situation.

- It's ok, we were talking about it. – Clark said – Oliver and his sister came to help us.

- Listen, I've got a message from them... The Guardian did...

Oliver kept staring at James, holding the eye roll back, and trying to focus on what he had to say. Since Kara told him about the whole Guardian situation, Oliver couldn't believe someone could be so reckless. He crossed his arms and kept listening.

- They want the Guardian to join them, invited him to meet them... So I thought of going, maybe I can infiltrate there and find something...

- Absolutely not! – Oliver said.

- Excuse me? – James took a step forward, crossing his arms.

- You heard me. – Oliver said – You can tell Guardian he won't do anything, because we are already working on it, and the less people involved, the better. Especially if they can be a risk...

- A risk? Of what exactly?

- Of ruining our plan and our only chance of doing this the right way.

- I'm sorry, who put you in charge? – James was beyond pissed now.

- Kara asked for my help, this is me helping!

- Ok, guys, enough – Clark said – James, you need to trust us.

- How can I trust a guy I don't even know that's not even from this Earth? What can you possibly do that I can't?

- This is not a competition, don't be ridiculous. – Oliver said.

- I'm serious. You have a bow and an arrow... How can you help dealing with these guys?

Oliver lost his patience at that point. He took a deep breath and just nodded at Clark and somehow Clark understood him and just stepped away. Oliver spoke to James in a direct cold tone; he never spoke so damn serious as he was doing now.

- 10 years ago I went on my dad's boat and the ship wrecked. We ended up on a life raft, my dad, a crew member and me. There was enough food or water for maybe one person. My dad shot the crew member, looked at me, told me to survive and shot himself right in front of me. I ended up on this island called Lian Yu, that's Mandarin for Purgatory. I spent 5 years away from home, doing the unthinkable to survive. I've seen things that would give you nightmares for years, I had to do things that would traumatize you for the rest of your life. I learned how to fight with a mercenary called Deathstroke, the guy who years later drove a sword into my mother's heart in front of my sister and I. I became Bratva captain after helping a member kill their biggest threat. I used his body to practice torture because yes, I had to torture people to survive. - He added after noticing the horror look on James face.

Clark knew most of it, since the last time they teamed up on his Earth to save the world, they talked about it.

- I had to infiltrate a group called League of Assassins so I could take their leader down from the inside. I killed him; otherwise he would poison my city and kill absolutely everyone. I just spent months in a maximum security prison, and once again I had to do whatever it took to survive that hell. I've been close to death, I came back to life. Few things in this world can break me, so I accepted Kara's invite to help her because this version of this country failed her. They were supposed to be glad to have someone like her fighting to protect them, instead of making her step aside. She couldn't count on the DEO anymore, so I joined her and Clark, because if there's anyone that can do what it needs to be done, is me. And someone once told me I needed to accept my dark past and forgive myself, both on my Earth and in this one – Oliver said as he looked at Clark and nodded with his head.

John Diggle, his friend and team mate used to say that a lot to him, but Clark put it on a different perspective the last time they saw each other. He understood that things weren't just black and white and told him to remember that if he was the monster he once thought he was, he wouldn't go out every night, risking his life to save someone or his world.

- And Kara's ok with it? You're ok with it? – James asked.

- Listen, we don't fully agree with Oliver's methods, he knows it. We've talked about it. But Oliver isn't the killer he once was. Kara trusts him, so I trust him too. He has the experience and we are dealing with humans here. DEO can't help, they have orders not to help. Kara is not DEO anymore, so we're doing things our way.

- And we would appreciate if no one interfered – Oliver added.

James took a look at them both and nodded with his head.

- Well, this makes my life easier then... I won't be a problem to you. But I won't stop doing what I can to keep the city safe!

- That's fair – Oliver said.

James left and Oliver tapped Clark shoulder.

- Thank you, for having my back. It means a lot.

- Like I've said, Kara trusts you, and so do I. We talked about it before, man, the past is in the past, it already happened and there's nothing you can do to change it

- Barry would disagree – Oliver said, making Clark laugh

- I think he learned his lesson... The point is, what's done is done. The important thing here is how you move forward. You're not a killer anymore, you are a hero. And you do what's necessary to keep people safe.

- Thanks man.

- I still think you should take it easy, someday you'll give someone a heart attack – Clark laughed

- I'll try my best – Oliver said

Oliver heard his phone beeping and saw a new message from Thea.

- Looks like we have a party do attend tonight... - Oliver said as they started to walk.

- What?

- Thea texted me. Lena Luthor invited you and Kara to a fundraiser to help the aliens that the lunatic is targeting and Kara told Lena we would go with you. – Oliver noticed the small change in Clark's face and let a small laugh out – You'll go with my sister as your plus one...

- You'll go with my cousin...

They stopped and stared at each other for a few seconds, because they both had the "don't you dare" tone in their voices.

- Ok.. – Oliver said as he nodded with his head. There was no need to say anything else.

- Yep – Clark added as they kept walking.

Nia and Thea were back from shopping, at Kara's place, trying their outfits while Kara showered. Thea picked a beautiful sequin strapless mini wine red dress, and black heels. She had a smoky eye that intensified her green eyes, nude lipstick color on her lips and her short hair had a stylish front bangs messy look.

- What fashion show you did you run away from? – Nia asked as she stared at Thea in awe – Are you trying to impress someone? – She teased suggestively.

- Of course not... Ok maybe – Thea said as she laughed – And look who's talking miss Goddess...

- Thank you dear – Nia blinked playfully at her – Is my natural look.

They laughed together as they finished getting ready. They told Oliver, Clark and Brainy to meet them in a few hours so the guys went for a drink at Oliver's place so they could leave some room for the girls. Clark got ready seconds before leaving Kara's place, using super speed.

- Why they need so much time to get ready? – Brainy asked as he sat on the couch.

- Someone's grumpy – Clark joked.

- I'm not grumpy... I'm feeling something weird I cannot actually explain, but it gives me this need to have everything done right away...

- It's called anxiety. – Oliver said – Welcome to my world.

Oliver couldn't tell exactly why but he understood perfectly what Brainy was feeling, because he had the same nervousness inside since he got to Kara's Earth. They talked for a while until it was time to pick Kara, Thea and Nia up. They walked there cause Oliver's place was really close to Kara's apartment and the closer they get to her door, more nervous he felt. Luckily he was an expert on hiding it. Nia opened the door and greeted them, giving a small kiss on Brainy.

- We're going ahead, I have to drop something at CatCo and we'll meet you guys there – Nia said as she held Brainy's hand and left with him. Oliver and Clark walked inside and waited.

Thea came out of Kara's room and smiled when she saw Clark's reaction. Oliver on the other hand just stared at her with a questioning look.

- Where's the rest?

- Rest of what?

- Of the dress, silly.

- This is the dress, silly – Thea looked at him, daring him to say another word about her outfit. – Wait, I forgot my purse. – She went back to Kara's room.

- Ok... - Oliver smiled at his sister. He always had to remember she wasn't a little kid anymore.

Oliver looked at Clark, who kept a perfectly innocent neutral look on his face, and back to Kara's door as he saw her coming out of it.

- I know we'll have to show up as Supergirl and Superman, but we can do that later, right? – Kara said as she stared nervously at Clark, trying her best to not focus on the way Oliver was looking at her right now.

- Sure – Clark smiled – You deserve some time off.

- We deserve it – Kara smiled as she hugged Clark.

- You look beautiful, cousin – Clark said.

- Thank you, you too look nice – She teased

Oliver couldn't take his eyes from Kara. She had a short embellished A-Line light blue dress with thin shoulder straps attached to the deep v-back. It had a sheer bodice with sequins and scattered 3-D flowers adorn the V-neck bodice. The skirt of the dress was multi-layered short chiffon that seemed to flow to the hem in an a-line shape. She had white low heels and her hair was styled in a halo braid wrapped around her head, with a few strands of her golden locks falling on the sides of her face. She literally looked like an angel straight out of a fairy tale. Kara stopped in front of him and hugged him.

- Hi again. – She smiled.

- You are beautiful – He whispered while they hugged.

- You too... - Kara blushed, noticing he emphasized the word "are" instead of 'look". – The suit looks good on you. – She looked at Clark and Thea – Oh, I almost forgot... Lena was sending a car to pick us up...

- How nice of her – Thea said

- She is – Kara said, looking at her phone – The car is here...

At the fundraiser, Kara introduced Thea and Oliver to Lena and they talked for a while. Thea greeted some people Nia introduced her across the room and she noticed Clark approaching her. She turned to him and smiled when she saw him offering his hand to hers.

- Would you dance with me?

- Sure – She said as she grabbed his hand and they walked together to where a few people danced together in the room.

- I didn't want to say this in front of your brother, but... You look absolutely stunning.

- Thank you, you look handsome too – She smiled as she thought to herself "more than usual by the way" – And yes, sometimes Ollie can be a bit overprotective.

Thea put her hands on his shoulders as he gently held her waist while they slowly danced, staring at each other.

- I understand it. Kara is the only family I have here on Earth, so I understand worrying and wanting the best for them.

- Kara mentioned once about how she came to Earth... I can't imagine going through something like that.

- I don't have any memories of Krypton, so it was hard to learn about what happened but I think for Kara was worse because she saw it all, and she remembers. But my Earth family was a blessing; I couldn't have better people to grow up with.

- I can see they did an amazing job raising you.

A slower song started to play and Clark took one step closer to Thea, taking her by surprise, reaching for her back as they danced.

- You're good at this – Thea said, looking impressed as he led them.

- Thank you. I had a lot of practice at school dances – He teased, making her laugh.

Kara stood near the bar and asked for a club soda. Oliver and Lena were still talking when Nia approached Kara, with a suspicious look.

- Is this Kara Danvers looking jealous?

- Why would I be jealous? – Kara asked, still staring

- Because Lena is still not being subtle at all... She's into him. – Nia whispered – And you noticed it too.

- Well, they're free to do whatever they want – Kara said as she turned around and finished her club soda.

- Hey... - Nia said, making Kara look at her – Don't. Just don't.

- What?

- I know you. Stop. Don't do this.

- Do what?

- Don't suffer in silence being the better person who steps out of the way.

- Lena is my friend.

- I know and I love her. But please, think about yourself.

- Nia, there's nothing happening...

- And if you do nothing, things will stay like this.. Deny all you want, is clear for me you like him.

- I... I don't... I don't know. Is complicated – Kara said. – Listen; let's not talk about it tonight, ok? Where's Brainy?

- He is grabbing more food. Yep. More – Nia laughed. – I'll check on him before he gets food poisoning.

- Ok.

Kara tried to see where Oliver and Lena went, since they were nowhere to be seen. She took another sip of her club soda, getting distracted with her own thoughts when Oliver appeared next to her with an annoyed look on his face.

- Is everything ok? – Kara asked, worried.

- Yes...I'm sorry – He said – Your friend wouldn't stop talking...

- Lena?

- Yes. Don't get me wrong, she seems a really nice person... But she kept asking me about things I'm still not ready to tell people I don't really know that well... I told her I needed to find you because you owed me a dance and she took the hint – Oliver said – and now we have to dance...

- I thought you didn't like it...

- Well, I already told her, she is staring... and for you, I'll make it an exception – He offered his arm, not taking his eyes from her.

Kara laughed, holding his arm and walking with him to the middle of the dance floor. She suddenly felt like a wave washed over her. She looked at her right and saw Thea and Clark going outside and she smiled. She turned to look at Oliver, feeling something familiar on her belly. The last time she felt that, she was almost in this same situation. She felt nervousness taking over her once again and she looked down, her head resting on his shoulder. She felt his hands on her back.

Outside, in the balcony, Thea sat by Clark's side as he offered her a glass of champagne and she smiled back at him.

- Thank you. You're such a gentleman...

Clark smiled back at her.

- Tell me again why you're single? – She turned to face him - If you don't mind me asking...

- No, it's ok... Life got complicated. – Clark took a deep breath, remembering how hard the break-up was - She got a job opportunity in another country and some other things happened. We decided it was the best for us to just stay as friends.

- That's mature... And rare

- And what about you? – He said as he stared, really curious to know more about her.

- Also complicated – She smiled, finishing her champagne – He died, came back to life the same way I did and didn't want to bring me bad memories or make my life harder while he dealt with his bloodlust.

- So... Dying and coming back to life is a regular thing on your world...

- More than you think. Our friend Sara also went through something similar...

- I'm glad you're alive now

Thea blushed as he heard that.

- And... what happened? – Clark asked.

- I tried to stay by his side and help him, but he just didn't want to hurt me, he knew I was still struggling with a lot that was going on in my life... So he left... And now I'm here...

- And now I'm here... - Clark said as they stared at each other.

People started to gather inside the ballroom and Thea noticed the movement around them.

- I guess is time for the super speech – She smiled, teasing him.

- Yes.. it is – Clark said as he exhaled. – Let's go then...

Thea stood up, walking back inside while Clark managed to vanish without anyone noticing, coming back fully as Superman. He noticed Supergirl was already inside and he walked towards her. Oliver, Thea and Nia kept staring at them as they greeted everyone at the party. Thea watched in awe how amazing was to see Superman like this. She totally understood how Clark and Kara managed to hide their identities so well, even if they didn't wear masks. Their posture, the way they talked and looked at everyone, the way they walked among people, everything changed. They looked ten times more confident, it was incredible to see as an audience member and not a team mate.

Oliver stared at Kara as she stood there, as Supergirl with Superman by her side, once again inspiring everyone else. He couldn't feel more proud of her. As soon as they finished, everyone started to clap. He looked to his side and saw Thea walking towards them, whispering something to Kara. Kara smiled and nodded with her head, giving Thea the microphone. Clark looked a bit surprised but waited to hear what she had to say.

- Hey... So... You guys don't know me, I'm not from around – She started and then took a deep breath.

She knew this wasn't going to be easy, but she had to do something to help. That was the idea of that fundraiser, to bring awareness to the people about the dangers aliens were facing and how much they needed allies right now.

- The city I grew up in is really dangerous. The place where I'm from is surrounded by darkness. As I grew up, I learned how truly ugly and dangerous the world could be. We don't have aliens living there, we just have humans. We have really bad people bringing the city down, terrorizing others, destroying lives and families.

- Is she talking about Gotham? – Oliver heard a woman asking a guy.

- My brother and I, we had our family devastated by them. They took our mom from us, friends, and a lot of innocent people. Human beings, the worst of them, doing bad things, did it to us. We still wake up every single day hoping for the best; hoping to be able to do even if is a small gesture to help keep our city safe. We could never rise against other humans, thinking that erasing them would solve the problem, because it wouldn't. This is a world problem: violence, hate, tragedy, greed... Alien or human, it's out there and it's real. You guys have a group of people that think the aliens are the problem, because bad things happens in your city, that Earth must come first. Who do I blame for my mom being gone? She died in front of me, murdered with a sword through her heart. A few years ago, I found out my biological dad is a psychopath, he almost got me killed, so who do I blame for that? Who do I fight to make things right?

The entire room fell into complete silence. Kara fought the tears trying to come down her eyes. Clark couldn't take his eyes away from her. Oliver felt emotional and proud at the same time. He kept seeing all the images from everything Thea was telling everyone, in his head, like a movie. Nia looked from Oliver to Thea, wanting to hug them both badly. Brainy stared in shock. No one could have seen it coming, and no one had answers to give Thea. Lena smiled, watching it all from the back of the room, noticing how her words hit people. It looked like everyone got punched on their faces and they were trying to recover.

- Aliens are not the problem because tragedies, violence, life issues they all exist anywhere, because guess what? That's life! We learn how to deal with it. We try to do better and keep our loved ones safe, but life happens and tragedy happens. What's happening here is just one more case of hate, for no reason. People don't accept the different and want to get rid of it. That's not ok. Aliens are not taking your job from you, you just need to be competent enough to get a job, aliens are not destroying families, maybe you are doing it and not seeing it. Because stuff like this happens where I live and we don't have aliens there, so who's fault is that?

More silence. Clark was mesmerized by this point.

- Again, you don't know me... I don't know most of you. But I can recognize absurds from far away, and what's happening here is one. First they come for aliens, and then what? Who will they target next? You don't know me, but believe me... This is not the way. Please think about that, because innocents are suffering and they need you all to stand by their side and say enough. That's all. Thank you.

The room erupted in a loud wave of applause. Thea gave the microphone back and Supergirl just jumped, giving her a big hug.

- Ouch... - Thea said and Kara looked worried at her

- Sorry – She said, hugging Thea again, more carefully – Thank you. Thank you.

Kara let go of Thea and she went back to Oliver's side. Oliver gave her a strong hug.

- I'm sorry I think I over shared – Thea said

- You were wonderful, I'm so proud of you – Oliver said.

Thea let go of Oliver and her eyes met Clark's. She blushed noticing the way he stared at her, and her heart jumped hard inside her chest. There was something different in his eyes towards her, she couldn't tell exactly why, but it made her really nervous. A good nervous.

A loud noise was heard, coming from across the street, and some people rushed inside the building yelling about Children of Liberty attacking the place, hurting people as they looked for aliens.

- And to prove my point... - Thea said as she stared at Oliver and they both got into fight mode as quickly as possible.

- Suit up – Oliver said

If there was one thing that Oliver learned with time, was to always be ready for anything because there was always going to happen something that required Green Arrow's help. He taught that to Thea as soon as she joined the team, so now, as usual, they were more than prepared. As soon as they got to the fundraiser, they let their work clothes in a place only they could find. Thea loved the technology Star Labs gave them, allowing their bow and quiver to fit such tiny places and be taken anywhere. Thea and Oliver grabbed their devices, pressed a button and had their weapons on their hands.

Supergirl and Superman rushed to the building first, and it didn't take long for Speedy and Green Arrow to join them. Brainy and Nia joined a few moments later, also in their super hero suits, ready to kick ass. Oliver had no patience to deal with those guys so he decided to bring back his old Hood days, using all fighting techniques he learned, and taking 5 masked guys at once. He aimed and shot one on his back, the other on his leg, he used tricky arrows to take a few by surprise.

Thea had fire in her eyes, she didn't hold back, using everything Malcolm taught her to take down as many asked guys as possible. She was ferocious, knocking one, two three down, swirling around and hitting a fourth.

Brainy and Nia fought together on the first floor while Clark and Kara used their super speed and strength to take more of them.

- Divide and conquer – Kara said as she went to one floor and Clark went a bit higher.

One guy managed to escape Thea and she followed him up to the rooftop, punching and kicking a few others on her way. She managed to reach the rooftop and it was just her and the masked guy. She made sure he would never forget her. She grabbed a knife from her boots and threw at him, hitting on his shoulder. The guy yelled in pain and rushed to try to punch her but Thea deflected it. Another masked guy came from behind her, giving a strong kick on her back. Thea lost her balance and rolled around, stopping on the edge of the building. She shot an arrow on the guy that attacked her from behind, and hit him on his cheek, creating a deep cut and making the guy fall to the ground, yelling. A third guys came and taking her by surprise, kicked her leg and Thea only had time to look down. It was a really high building and the next thing she new, she was falling.

Thea was ready for the impact and to actually die for good when she felt a whoosh of air and really strong arms holding her before she could hit the ground. She automatically held his neck and stared at Clark, smiling relieved as she felt the wind against her hair.

- SUPERGIRL! – Oliver yelled inside the building as he saw Kara collapse on the ground, the veins on her face becoming a bright green and she contorted in pain. Oliver grabbed his bow and arrow and shot one, two, three arrows at the guy that did it to Kara, on his chest.

Nia and Brainy took care of the rest of them until there was no more masked men attacking them. Oliver rushed to Kara and Nia helped him take the green bullet from her shoulder. Oliver held her on his arms quickly. Lena came running, worried after seeing Kara hurt.

- You need to bring her home, the DEO isn't safe right now – Brainy warned him.

- Use the car – Lena said – I'll warn Alex.

- There are solar lamps on her apartment – Nia said. – It's ok Lena, I will find Alex. Where's Clark and Thea?

- They followed a few masked men up, I'll look for them, and maybe they need some help – Brainy said as he rushed to the rooftop.

Clark flew holding Thea in his arms, going back to the ground, letting her slowly down as soon as it was safe for her to let go of him.

- Thanks for the saving – She said, her blood practically boiling with the rush and the adrenaline.

She felt another whoosh of air and suddenly, Clark came running from inside the building.

- Are you ok? – He asked, worried

- I am now, thanks to you – She whispered the last part and hugged him.

As she let him go, he looked at her face and hand, noticing there was a few bruises. The side of her face and up her eyebrow was bleeding.

- You're hurt.

- It's ok, I'm used to it.

- It looks bad... - He said worried

- Is not, believe me – She smiled – But thank you for worrying. I swear, I don't feel a thing.

- Your speech... Before. – Clark said, still staring at her in awe, his hand caressing her cheeks.

Clark closed the space between them capturing her lips with his in a slow kiss that let it all everything that he felt the moment she grabbed the microphone and started to talk. He felt her responding to the kiss and break the kiss apart.

- I'm sorry, I...

- Shhh... Just don't – Thea said as she grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and kissed him again – It's ok – She whispered between the kiss, feeling his smile against her lips. She took advantage to deepen it, as their tongues danced a slow passionate dance.

Clark's hand reached for her waist, guiding Thea backwards until her back touched the wall on the side of the building while they kept kissing each other. Thea's left hand went to his arms and her right hand went straight to his hair. She felt a bit dizzy, like loosing her balance. "He isn't just handsome, gentle and cute, he was also a hell of a kisser", she thought, or tried to think, she had no idea how to form a coherent thought anymore.

Brainy looked everywhere on the rooftop for Clark and Thea, until he looked down the street.
