Slowly, the village became heavily disturbed with troubling rumors and undeniable facts that put them into a depressed state, yet another one...and they didn't know. The weather matched the tone of everything. Rainy, dark, and hectic with storms. Brewing up everywhere. And nothing, was allowing anywhere near Naruto's room, not even the in same hall as he was in, were you allowed to speak of what had happened.

Naruto was sitting up, being fed by Sakura, who had that glint of hurt and pain in her eyes. Naruto chewed silently, intaking the bad vibes from her. In fact everywhere, everyone shared it.

"Sakura, how is Sadara?" Naruto asked to break that eerie silence.

"She is doing fine. I'm having Hinata babysit her as she takes care of Boruto." Sakura smiled gently.

"What's with you?" Naruto suddenly turned serious.

"What do you mean Naruto? Everything is fine." She smiled.

"That's a fake smile." Naruto winced and groaned as he moved himself closer to her and he rested a hand on her shoulder. "You have been forcing it this entire time. Everyone has. Like you all know something I don't. And that glint. That look I know all to well you all have. I wasn't born yesterday Sakura. I can tell when people like to me. What the hell happened to make everyone so damn... depressed!?" Naruto raised his voice lightly, but even then it was quiet because he normally spoke in a mumbling manner or a barely audible whisper.

"Someone in the hospital died during birth today." Sakura frowned. "It was awful. She was a kind woman, who's husband died tragically on a mission. She was so happy to have family back in her life again, sense her parents kicked her out the moment they found out she was pregnant. She kept rambling on every time she came here for a check-up." Sakura chuckled weakly. "But she lost too much blood and energy and her heart gave under the pain and strain her body was under, and died. Everyone became fond of her, and this kind of...hurt ya know?" Sakura looked up at him.

"Oh, alright. I'm sorry about the loss. Make sure everyone knows I feel sorry for them and I hope their days get any better." Naruto sounded off but it was expected, he was weak and injured.

Naruto almost jumped as thunder, so loud, shook the room and windows, making things rattle by the mere sound. Sakura sighed.

"Nasty weather." She spoke as she finished feeding him.

"Thanks for the food.", Naruto smiled kindly at her.

"Your very welcome Naruto." She smiled back. "If you need anything, just remember to press the button on the side of the hospital bed and I'll come in and aid you." She stood and patted her skirt.

"Alright Sakura. See you later I guess." Naruto smiled in a bubbly manner. "Thanks for telling me."

"Yeah." She turned her back and her smile faded as she walked to the door.

As soon as she grabbed the knob Naruto interrupted her leave.

"Oh-! Uh, Sakura one more thing." Naruto spoke.

"Yes Naruto?" She turned to face him.

Suddenly Naruto's eyes became shadowed over with his bangs. He smirked widely and winced unnoticed and moved a finger to his mouth as if shushing someone. This made Sakura shudder and somehow get afraid, very quickly, because his vibe went very hostile. Naruto giggled like a madman.

"Just remember, those who lie become rotten on the inside until the crumble and die. And those who lie to others, and the oblivious one eventually finds out, rips the liar's hair out and shoves it down their throat and says -there, now you can't poison others with your slutty mouth!- alrighty tighty, bye Sakara blossom~" Naruto snickered devilishly, his eyes remaining shadowed over.

Sakura was dead stiff and scared. She weakly opened the door and walked out and shut it and slid down the closed door, holding a hand to her chest. She shook and grabbed the fabric of her clothing in her palm to try and calm her breathing. She forced her shaking knees to stand her body upright and she slowly walked down the hall and rounded the corner and looked down.

"Will you tell him now Sakura?" A male voice spoke behind her.

Sakura gasped and turned around and looked up at her husband, a foot taller then her. Sasuke looked down at her with slightly hurt eyes.

"I'm gonna miss him, he was a funny man." Sasuke chuckled.

"Y-yeah..." Sakura looked down. "But he lost his parents. Tsunade, h-he went through blindness. Naruto has lost so much. He doesn't need to suffer more." Sakura spoke worryingly.

"And you think hiding the truth from him helps? I'm going to tell him the truth that your obviously to scared to do. And hopefully he won't get mad at everyone." Sasuke walked up to Sakura and gave her a hug. "don't worry though, it's Naruto, he'll forgive you." He smiled and pulled back.

"No, he won't." She spoke and backed away, averting her gaze.

"What makes you say that?" Sasuke asked.

"You haven't been around him recently, have you?" She narrowed her eyes.

"No, it's been a few months." He spoke.

"He got his sight back, along with new things that aren't at good." She spoke.

"Like what?" He raised a brow.

"Take a look in his eyes and you'll tell...you will see it." She turned her back and walked away, out of sight.

Sasuke sighed and scratched the back of his neck. He headed towards Naruto's room, taking heed of Sakura's concerned words and warnings. Her look, her posture. She was very worried about him finding out.

Sasuke made it to Naruto's room door and he slowly grabbed the knob and opened it.

"Naruto it's Sasuke." Sasuke spoke as he entered.

"I know, I can regonize that awful hair anywhere. You should just let it straighten out, it will look better, and it will cover up that rediculous looking purple renegan of yours." Naruto smiled weakly.

Sasuke did notice what she was talking about. They way he carried his words, the way his vibe seemed nothing but hostile. Far from approachable. He, although unnoticed, shuddered and walked over to his bedside, pulling up a chair to the now laying down 21 year old.

"Naruto I have news everyone kept from you.", Sasuke spoke boldly." And you won't like it."

"Spit it out. I'm tired of everyone lying to me. Now, what is it? What terrible thing happened that made everyone depressed?" Naruto asked.

Thunder rattled the building and the room lit with an awful glow from the lightning just as Sasuke spoke his words that can out like poison and fire, making Naruto's eyes shoot open.

"Naruto..." Sasuke sighed. "Jirayah committed Suicide. They found him ha..."

All noise was drowned out. Naruto went into a state of pure and utter shock, his body went numb, his ears rang loudly, the world faded into black, his heartbeat seemed to stop, he couldn't breathe, he couldn't react, he couldn't think, he couldn't see, feel, smell...nothing...

Nothing...

Nothing...

Nothing...

He felt absolutely nothing...it was like nothing could every cheer him up. He constantly suffered through his entire life with seemingly no end. Things finally calm and this happens. Like a sledgehammer it slammed his heart and made it shatter.

Nothing...

No motivation...

No feeling

No emotion

Not drive

No want

No love

No happiness

No sadness

No depression

No joy

No sense of anything

After all that he still felt useless,

weak

burdened,

Empty

Alone...

So...

So...

So......

So........

Alone

No family. No parents. No one. His idol gone, his second father and role modle gone. His mother who he actually had grown attached too gone. An adobted brother gone. A childhood kage, therapist and second mother, gone.

"Naruto? Naruto are you okay?" Sasuke placed a hand on Naruto's shoulder, bringing him back to reality.

Naruto looked up at Sasuke, with a dead look in his eyes, the most lifeless...dead, grey, dull eyes Sasuke had every seen. Then, surprise hit him. Like bricks pinning him. It was so heavy, it his his heart like a drum mallet striking the surface of the snare a thousand times in a rhythm that was unfollowable.

Naruto smiled, so faint, but so innocent and kind and generous.

"I've never been better..."
