Elora kissed Athena's cheek. Athena snuggled closer to her mother, still exhausted. Elora rocked her back and forth in a rocking chair.
Edmund came into the room, looking furious, under his anger she saw fear, although no one except maybe Peter and her could tell that it was fear.
"What's wrong?" She asked. Edmund sighed and rubbed his forehead.
"They want war. I-I don't want a war but I can't agree to their treaties." He said, his voice in the verge of cracking.
Elora shook her head.
"Oh, Edmund. Do you really think there will be a war?" Elora asked. Edmund nodded.
"If they keep it up. Yes. There will be a war." Edmund choked out. Elora looked down at the half asleep Athena.
"Aslan help us." Edmund whispered, he stroked Athena's cheek softly. Athena giggled and pushed his hand back, causing Edmund to smile slightly.
"Little princess." He mumbled. She smiled and cuddled back into Elora's arms.
Elora stood up and put her hand on Edmund's shoulder.
"You rest for a while. I'm going to make sure the boy's are alright." She said. Edmund nodded and kissed her.
"See you at supper." She said. He nodded, Elora left.

"Mum, can dad take us fishing tomorrow?" Arian asked, Elora looked at his still slightly pale face. She bit her lip, not wanting to promise anything.
"Maybe. I'll talk to him." She said. Arian, Eliazer and Ashton shared a grin.
"That doesn't mean anything. He might be busy." She said quickly. Eliazer laughed.
"Dad will do anything for you." He said. Arian and Ashton nodded in agreement. Elora rolled her eyes.
"He might be busy. Don't get your hopes up too high." She said. They nodded, still smiling. Elora shook her head, laughing quietly.
"Go play." She shooed them off. They ran off. Daniel stated behind. He still looked the sickest, but even he was getting better.
"Are you okay, sweet boy?" She asked, slightly concerned. He nodded. She scooped him up with her arm that wasn't holding Athena.
"Mummy!" He squealed, laughing. She kissed his forehead, causing him to pretend gag and cover his face with his hands. She set him down. He crawled on her lap, careful of Athena who was more awake now.
That night at supper Edmund hadn't woken up, Elora let him sleep, knowing he was more tired than he'd admit. After the kids were in bed she sat beside the bed unable to sleep. She read a book in a seat not far from the bed.
Edmund woke up about an hour later. He saw Elora asleep in the chair, a book sprawled against her lap and a small smile on her face.
