Katherine's POV

"Divorce papers." Was all he said.

My heart dropped in my stomach , my throat closed up as i felt the tears forming in my eyes.

I directly shook my head , "No." I said , "I am not signing them."

"Take the papers Katherine." He said , he didn't look affected by this at all , "And Sign them."

"NO ! I am not signing them." I snapped as i took the papers from him and threw them away angrily.

"You said you wanted a divorce !" He said raising his voice stepping closer toward me.

"I didn't mean it !" I snapped back , "I didn't mean a thing of what i said , i was angry , i just wanted to hurt you."

"But you , you're giving up on us ?" I said not believing his actions , "How could you do that ? Everything happened between us , does it not mean anything to you ?"

"No." He said , his expressionless face making my blood boil more , "It meant nothing to me."

"You're lying." I said. He is lying , i know what we have was real. I am sure.

He shook his head , "This is the first time i am actually telling you the truth." He said stressing on the word truth.

My eyebrows knitted in confusion , why he is acting like this ?

"What is wrong with you ?" I asked unable to recognize the man in front of me as Ashton anymore.

"Just sign the papers Katherine." He said.

"Never." I said insisted on my decision. I am not giving up on us. Even if he did , I won't.

He let out a sigh , "Sign them and don't make a big deal out of it." He said looking bored.

"It is a big deal Ashton." I said,  "It's our marriage you're talking about !"

"Our marriage was fake from the very beginning." He said , "You know that."

"No it wasn't." I said back , "It was and still real."

"Not for me." He seemed to have all his sentences ready to reply back . And even though I don't believe a thing he's saying but it still hurts.

It hurts because he is not even willing to fight for us. He is letting me take the fight all alone.

"Stop lying !" I snapped irritated , "I am not lying Katherine ! Did you really believe that i loved you ?" He asked mockingly.

"Yes , yes , because you did." I directly shot back.

"No I didn't." He said still keeping the same poker face. If there's a thing Ashton is good at , then it's hiding his feelings.

"Stop ! Just stop !" I couldn't handle this version of him , "Who are you ?" I asked as i looked in his eyes and didn't feel the same pull i used to feel before , because they look so cold, gone all the warmth they used to have.

"I am the man who killed your boyfriend." He said coldly, the words rolled out carelessly out of his mouth making my heartbeats accelerate.

I directly pointed my index finger toward him , "Don't !" I said warning him.

"What ? " He said raising an eyebrow , "You think i regret that ?"

"Ashton don't !" I said gritting my teeth. He wants to anger me so i would sign the papers , but i am not , i am not going to do that.

I know him. I know what he is trying to do.

"It's true it was an accident, but that doesn't mean i regret it." He said.

"Ashton.."

"He was a rival at work and that took him out of my way." He added nonchalantly , a smirk on his face.

Fury burned within me , I directly stepped closer ,"Stop ! Why you're doing this ?" I snapped as i hit his chest letting all the anger due to his words lash out, "How can you do this ? You promised you won't hurt me Ashton but here you are , you're hurting me on purpose just so i would sign these papers !"

"How can you do that ?" I added my voice broke at the end , while he just stood there frozen as i hit his chest, tears streaming down my cheeks.

I stopped hitting his chest , my hands still holding his shirt, my body felt weak and everything inside me went numb , i clutched on his shirt even more and laid my head over his chest , my tears still falling , my breath hitching as i heard how fast his heart is beating.

Stop fighting against your feelings Ashton. Please stop.

"I know what i said hurt you." I said sniffling , "I am sorry. I didn't mean a single word."

I felt his muscle tense under me , his arms still beside him frozen not moving. I want him to wrap them around me. Why he is being so stubborn ?

"Stop doing this." I said , my voice pleading him to stop , "Please Ashton."

His arms went around me , but stayed for only few seconds, it was as if he came back to his senses and then removed them away.

He then held my arms and pulled me away from him.

I would be lying if i said it didn't hurt. Because it did. I felt my heart cracking in my chest due to his action. I am sick of him acting like this.

He leaned down , to level himself with me , his eyes still holding nothing. I really wonder how he can do this ? My eyes are full with tears and I can't hold the heartbreak i am feeling from showing all over my face while he , on the other side , acting all cold and careless.

Maybe really he doesn't care. Maybe.

His face was close , his tone harsh as he talked , "No , you were right , everything you said is the truth."

"I don't want you and I don't want your child. I obliged into this marriage and now i am done , i am bored." With every word coming out of his mouth , a piece of my heart broke down. "So sign the papers and get the hell out of my life."

Anger build inside me , mixed with pain and hurt as my hand went involuntary and slapped him on his face , thinking maybe it will kick some sense into his stupid mind.

"I was wrong before." I said gritting my teeth , "You're worst than your father."

His jaw ticked , a red mark forming on his face , fury and anger started to build inside his eyes but I wasn't scared this time. "I am glad you finally realized that."

With that he walked past me going toward the door , when he placed his hand on the door knob , i talked , "We didn't finish talking yet !"

"I did." Was all he said.

"If you went out of that door now , then everything between us will be over." I said hoping that it would stop him.

His hand still placed on the knob , he closed his eyes for a brief second and when he opened them again , he opened the door , "It's already over Katherine." With that he walked away.

My legs seemed unable to hold me anymore , I directly sat at the edge of the bed and wrapped my arms around myself , the feeling that invaded my chest was too much to bare.

My gaze traveled to the file at the ground, I leaned toward it and with my shaky hand i grabbed it.

I opened it and when i saw his signature , the hurt just intensified.

He is really not backing off. Maybe i just should sign them too. I tried with him but he is so damn stubborn.

It's already over.Maybe he is right. Maybe it is over.

But what's going to happen to my child ? I don't know, but I'll figure out a way.

I looked around searching for a pen feeling defeated, feeling that i have no choice but give up.

I saw Ashton's jacket laying there beside me on the bed , i grabbed it to take a pen from the pocket.

But when i held it in my hands a stupid feeling warmed my heart , it smelled like him , like Ashton.

I am not just talking about the cologne scent , it's a thing I really don't know how to explain it , it just .. it just smells like him.

Oh god i love him. So much. That i am holding his jacket and crying like a teenager.

Goddammit! I am in a big trouble.

What should i do ?

Holding the jacket in my hands , i felt something in the pocket , I placed my hand inside it and pulled it out.

My eyes widened a bit when i saw it's a cigarette pack. He smokes ? Since when ?

What the hell ? This thing would kill him , he have asthma for god's sake ! This man is going to drive me crazy.

I directly grabbed the pack angrily and stormed out of the room.

I am so going to kill him.

I went to the living room searching  but couldn't find him there.

Grandma saw me , She smiled , "You're searching for Ashton ? " she asked and i nodded , my hold over the pack tightened. Everything he is doing is driving me crazy. He lost his mind for sure.

"He went outside." She said , "I think he is walking around."

I gave her a smile and went out of the house. And like she said , i saw him walking away , his hands in his front pockets. I directly walked -more like ran toward him as i saw him getting far.

"Ashton !" I called his name when i was getting close, he directly turned around and stopped walking.

I stopped as well taking a breath to calm my racing heart from running after this stupid excuse of a human.

He looked at me with furrowed eyebrows. "What ?" He asked pulling the blank cold act again.

"What the hell is this ?" I said showing him the cigarette pack.

He looked at it , "A Cigarette pack." He said in a matter of a fact tone.

"Are you smoking this ? " I asked , he shrugged , "Oh my god , what's wrong with you ? This may kill you because of your asthma. "

My voice was raising , i felt like exploding from everything happening , "You're not even taking your medicine and you're smoking this sh*t ! Are you planning on killing yourself !!"

"Maybe i am." He just said.

"I don't understand you ! I really don't !" I snapped back then threw the pack away.

"Stop acting like you care." He said . The nerve of this man ! Everything i am doing and he dare and say that.

"Of course i care." I said , my voice came low for unknown reason.

"NO NO YOU DON'T." He snapped , "Nobody cares." The last sentence came out low making my heart constrict in my chest.

"But i do Ashton." I said stepping closer.

He shook his head , "No , why would you care anyway ?" His voice raised again.

"I really do care about." I said , he just shook his head, anger and hurt filling his eyes , "Stop ! You don't care , nobody does , why would anyone even care about me , my own parents didn't.. SO WHY WOULD YOU CARE ?"

"Of course i do , dammit , Because i love you !" The words came out without my permission and i knew I won't be able to take them back. And actually, I didn't want to.

The blank face he had moments ago is long gone , all kind of emotions are written over it and inside his eyes.

"Yes Ashton , i love you." I said again , my voice low as i stepped closer toward him , "I love you so much."

"And you know what's the worst part is , that even after everything you said , after all the words that hurt me and broke my heart , even after trying to push me away from you , even after all this , I can't stop loving you... I don't want to." I said , sad tears fell out of my eyes and scrolled down my face.

"Because i know that you love me too." I added ,"I know what we have is strong and we shouldn't give up on it that easily."

He shook his head , "I can't Katherine, i am a mess , I don't deserve you, I don't deserve to be in my child's life.. i will always hurt the both of you." He said , his voice weak and vulnerable unlike before.

"It's not by my hand, i will always hurt you." He said , his hand went and caressed my cheek lightly , "You don't deserve that." His voice came as a mere whisper.

"You don't deserve a man who will always be the reason behind your tears , a man who always break your heart , a man who will let his anger control him , a mess and a lost man that doesn't even know what to do with his life, that doesn't know why he is living in the first place... a broken man like me." He paused and shook his head , "You don't deserve that."

A tear slid down his cheek reflecting the war had been happening in his head , reflecting everything he was trying to hide.

My hand acted on its own and directly wiped that tear away , just the mere sight of him crying breaks me even more. Because when a tough man like him break down like this , it means whatever is happening inside him is big. Is huge. And he don't deserve it.

"I can't be selfish, i have to go , tell me to leave." He said , "Please tell me to leave."

I shook my head , "No no . Stay." I said , "I don't want you to leave."

"I have to." He said , his hand still cupping my cheek as his glassy eyes kept staring at mine.

"Don't do this to me." I said , "It will break me too Katherine , but it's the only way."

I shook my head , "The thought of losing you rips my heart but also the thought of staying and hurting you , it kills me even more." He said , "Don't make it harder , please."

I didn't know what to say to make him understand , so instead of talking i inched closer and took his cheeks in my hands , standing on my tip toes i pressed my lips over his.

He directly reacted to my kiss as if he was waiting for it , his hand went to the back of my neck pulling me closer toward him , kissing me back with the same intensity and maybe more. The warmth of his mouth sent a current running through my body. My hand traveled to his shoulder then to the back of his neck tangling them with his soft hair.

Pulling apart to catch a breath , with his body was still pressed against mine , he pressed his forehead over mine , his eyes still closed , I whispered, "I love you."

His hands around me tightened, "Say it again." He demanded, his eyes still closed , but mine were opened as i stared at him , "I love you , and i will never stop loving you."

His lips curved a small smile due to my words but it directly dropped , he opened his eyes , "But you should stop." He said , my eyes furrowed in confusion, "Stop loving me."

"No I should not !" , I shook my head. My voice came louder than it should, because I thought we're done of that , but apparently he is still not backing off.

"Just give me sometime Kathrine, i have to sort this all , my mind is a wreck , I don't know what to do or think." He said removing his hands from around me , he stepped a bit away , "Just give me time."

"You don't understand, I don't have time !! " the words came without my permission and i know i said a thing i should not , I directly closed my mouth after , hoping he won't argue further.

"What do you mean you don't have time ?" He asked knitting his eyebrows.

My heartbeats accelerated but i tried to act that i meant a different thing behind my words , "I mean I can't wait forever, Ashton."

"I am going home now , you have till tomorrow , if you really want me , if you want us , then you will come back." I said , "The choice is in your hand now , i told you what i want , i want you , but I can't fight for this alone."

"So if you really want this." I said pointing between me and him , "Then you'll come back home. Come back to our home."

I wiped the tears on my cheeks , turned my body and walked away. He is the one to decide now. I can't keep running after him. I can't oblige him into this if he is really giving up.

And I can't give him a lot of time , I don't have that time , few months is all i have. He doesn't know that but if he came back , if he decided to come back then i am telling him. He deserves to know. I can't keep hiding it forever.

No , not forever , i mean for following three months , I can't keep hiding it.

I wrapped my arms around myself when the cold breeze hit my body as i walked away.

I was going to get inside to get my stuffs and leave when a car came and parked outside the house making me stop.

I looked closer to see that it's Alex , he went down the car and when he spotted me , he directly came toward me.

"Hello sweetheart." He said with his usual big smile , but when he noticed my face , he knitted his eyebrows, "Wait wait, were you crying ?"

"What happened ? " he asked again when I didn't answer ,i just shook my head , "Nothing."

He raised an eyebrow not satisfied by my answer , "What did he do this time ?"

"Can we talk about this later ?" I said , not having the power in me to talk about what's happening.

He nodded , "Ashton is here right ? I came ,i need to talk to him about something."

I nodded and pointed my finger to where Ashton is walking , "He is there."

"Okay." He said looking at Where Ashton is then looked back at me , "You're staying here tonight ? "

"No , i am leaving." I said , "But I don't know about him."

Alex looked confused but he didn't ask why , "Okay then i will take you home." He offered and i shook my head , "No it's okay , i can go by myself."

"No way in hell , it's getting late. I am taking you. " He said , "A gentleman like me can't accept that." He winked and his smile was back.

"Don't cry for him , he is so stupid." He said , "Real man makes your panties wet not your eyes."

Oh my god Alex.

"I can show you what a real man i can be if you.." he started to say but i slapped him lightly on his arm stopping him.

He chuckled, "I am just trying to make you smile."

His words made me involuntary smile, this guy is unbelievable, Cara is so lucky to have him.

After that , He took me home and i was grateful to that since I didn't have my car with me and on the way back he made sure to say stupid things to lighten my mood.

"And here we are." Alex said snapping me from my thoughts , and that's when i noticed that we arrived.

"Thank you for the ride." I said with a smile , i was unbuckling my seatbelt about to get out but Alex stopped me , "Wait." He said , i turned my head and gave him a questioning look.

"I heard Ashton talking with the lawyer about divorce papers and since the day i saw you at the company i felt everything had changed , What's wrong ? " he said , "You two are not getting divorced , no way in hell i am letting that happen."

"I don't want a divorce as well but he is being so damn stubborn, he is not backing off.. And i left him the choice, if he didn't make his mind till tomorrow then i think it will be over."

"What ? " Alex said , his eyes widened , "Oh my god this man , he is so stupid. I am gonna kick his aśs and then put some brain in his empty head." Alex said , i shook my head , "Let him take the choice by himself."

"You think i am gonna sit and watch the both of you split apart !" He looked at me with a raised eyebrow, "No way !"

"Go inside and wait for us." He said , "I am going to get him and we're solving this sh*t tonight."

"No Alex.."

"Katherine go inside , i am not taking your opinion." He said and i shot him a glare.

"Come on." He said pushing me from my arm so i would get out.

"Okay , but you won't kick his aśs though ,right ?" I asked making sure.

"Can't promise." He shrugged.

"Alex !"

"Okay okay." He said , "Just get out of my car , go inside the house , so i can go get him."

I nodded and went out of the car , and he directly drove away.

I hope he won't do anything stupid.

I went inside the house , changed my clothes then went to sit in the living room and wait them.

But as i was making my way there , a knock on the door startled me. For sure that's not them , Alex just went like ten minutes ago.

Confused, i walked toward the door ,I opened it and a weird feeling rose at the pit of my stomach as i saw Caleb leaning beside the door.

"Katherine !" He said with a smile , "I missed you." The words slurred out of his mouth.

He looked more cheerful than usual. "What are you doing here ?" I asked confused.

He tried to remove his body from beside the wall and stand straight but he stumbled and almost fell , I directly clutched his arms helping him and when the liquor smell hit my nose , i knew he is drunk.

"You are drunk." I said , he smiled , "I think i am." He said then tried to balance himself again.

"I am going to call a cab to take you home." I said then turned around to go get the phone but he surprised me when he followed me and grasped my hand from the back and span me around then pulled me toward him , "No i want to stay here." He said , his face inching closer, but before it would happen i directly pushed him and stepped away from his embrace.

"Caleb ! What the hell !" I snapped , "Get out of my house."

The smile that was on his face , was now gone , and something fired up in his eyes.

Panic crawled under my skin when he took hold of both of my arms and slammed my body against the wall , "I am not going , till i get what i want." His tone alone made my fear grow more.

I tried to push him again this time but his hand held the both of my arms and pinned them above my head , he pressed his body against mine making it harder to fight him.

"Caleb no , please." I said panicked as his lips brushed against my neck.
"No no no." I shouted as i shook my head repeatedly for him to stop kissing me.

He groaned , his other hand held my chin tightly forcing my head to stop moving , "Don't make this harder sweetheart."

Tears welled up in my eyes as my mind was going wild with whatever may happen next, he kept on kissing me , his lips moving aggressively over my neck and chin , i felt my skin burning in disgust from the mere touch of his lips.

"C-caleb. No n-no , you're drunk.." I said , my voice shaking as tears slid down my cheeks , but instead of stopping he slammed his lips over mine shutting me up.

The sickening feeling in my stomach intensified, i felt like throwing up. I tried to fight against his hold again but failed , he is much stronger that i am.

When i felt him loosening a bit, i didn't waste a second as i kneed him in the crotch and struggled to my feet.

I tried to ran fast away from him but it clearly wasn't enough as Caleb soon caught me , he groaned as he pulled me closer to him again ,then dragged me with him and pushed me on the couch angrily and within seconds he hovered over me.

My breath hitched as I didn't know what to do next , my blood rushed so fast through my veins, i was afraid to make a wrong move and hurt my baby and in the same time afraid of what he may do now. He's drunk , there is nothing that would stop him.

He took hold of both of my hands again and made sure I won't be able to escape from his hold this time , "Now where were we ?" He said smirking venomously , inching his face closer toward me , the scent of alcohol hit me like a ton of bricks , " P-please C-caleb don't.." I squirmed underneath him begging him to stop , but nothing seems to stop him."You're dr-runk .. please.. you don't want ..to do this.."

"Believe me , i've always wanted to this." He whispered in my ear , his lips moving over my skin harshly. I wanted to tear myself apart , i wanted to peal my skin off so I won't feel his poisoned touch.

He tugged on my top , ready to pull it, but i didn't give up as i tried to hit him with my hands and legs. I couldn't handle the thought of what he may do next but for my unfortunate luck , he caught me and within seconds he ripped my top apart.

"Stop fighting !" He growled gliding his finger across my chest toward my back and towards my bra strap, i struggled against his weight in a last attempt to free myself , but i soon realized my attempt was futile.

My heartbeats ratcheted up a notch as i felt there is no way to escape. Whenever i try to fight or move , he overpower me quickly. I screamed , but no one is going to hear , my inside shook with fear and more tears went down my face.

Where are you Ashton ?

When Caleb hands started fumbling with my pants, terror coursed through my body and I couldn't suppress the scream that escaped my lips , "ASHTON !"

"ASHTON !" I screamed again hoping that somehow he would hear my screams.

Ashton's POV

I walked outside for a while trying to clear my mind and think straight about what Katherine said.

After a couple of minutes thinking it through, I knew the answer. The answer that my stupid brain couldn't realize before.

So I went inside the room and when found the divorce papers laying on the bed, I directly took them and within seconds i ripped them into pieces.

I don't want this to happen. She is right , what we have is strong , I can't give up on us.

The room's door was pushed open and Alex stormed inside toward me with unsatisfied expression on his face he landed a punch on my nose.

"F*ck !" I groaned , "What the hell is wrong with you ? " I asked rubbing my nose feeling the blood starting to come out of it.

"That's because you are stupid." He said , "You're sitting here like a total p*ssy leaving your wife crying alone."

Well I can't say he is wrong in that.

"She loved you even with all your jerky actions , so you better get your sweet asś out of that bed and come with me and fix everything before i f*ck you right here right now." He said angrily while I stared at him dumbfounded.

"I can do it." He said threatening me , my eyes widened as a result , "Don't test me Ashton."

I directly stood up looking at the crazy man i call my friend , i rubbed my sore nose again , "You f*cking broke my nose."

"You deserve it."

He is right..

"I didn't know you find my aśs sweet." I exclaimed as i made my way out of the house with him , "Oh shut up !" Alex groaned in annoyance.

I walked toward my car , and Alex toward his , and then we both drove toward my house.

I reached first , Alex behind me.

I directly went out of the car, and as i was making my way toward the porch , my phone started ringing.

I stopped and took it from my pocket to check who is..

"ASHTON !"

Katherine's voice came from inside , the house , the fear in her scream made me instantly drop the phone on the ground as I directly ran inside as fear coursed through my body.

Katherine's POV

Caleb placed his hand over my mouth to shut my screams and in that moment i just gave up , there is nothing i can do more.

I closed my eyes preparing myself for the worst. But when i no longer felt Caleb's hand on me ,i snapped them open.

I couldn't process how it happened, or how he was suddenly pulled away from me or how Ashton came out of nowhere and pushed him away.

I was still in shock as Ashton landed a punch on Caleb's face followed by another and another , he was yelling at him saying something , cursing but I couldn't point out what exactly he was saying as my mind was still trying to wrap itself about everything happening. I couldn't hear anything but my wildly beating heart in my ears.

Ashton grabbed Caleb from his shirt then pulled him from the ground , he slammed Caleb's body against the wall making his head smack with it as an impact.

I wrapped my arms around myself as i came back to my senses and realized what is happening , i looked for my shirt but founded ripped and with no use.

My heartbeats accelerated and I didn't know what i should do as i looked again and saw Ashton still hitting Caleb harder and harder each time.

I saw blood on Caleb's face , on Ashton's hand , and even on the wall. A bile rose up in the back of my throat, the muscle in my stomach shuddered more.

Caleb closed his eyes , he seemed to start losing his conscious but that didn't stop Ashton from hitting him harder with every second ticking.

I don't know from where Alex came , his eyes widened as he saw Ashton beating Caleb , he directly tried to hold him back, "Ashton stop !"

But Ashton just pushed Alex away from him and continued what he is doing , his eyes burning with fury and rage , he looked ready to kill.

"F*ck ! Leave him , you gonna kill him." Alex snapped , and tried to pull Ashton away again , "I want to !" Ashton growled , "How dare you touch her !!!" He slammed Caleb's head on the wall again.

Alex's eyes flickered toward my direction but then he directly looked away , he grabbed Ashton shoulders , "Go to Katherine , i will deal with this."

At the mention my name , Ashton seemed to come back to his mind , his gaze immediately went toward me , he left Caleb right away and within seconds he was standing in front of me, "Hey baby !" He said softly palming my cheek , his eyes showing nothing but pain , tears started falling again as if his touch pulled me out of the shock i was in , "Are you okay ?" He asked looking at me from up to down , his hand lingered over the red marks on my body , the marks that Caleb's touch left. I wheezed in a harsh breath to keep my sobs from escaping.

Ashton's eyes fired up again , he gritted his teeth , "I am going to kill him ! I am gonna kill that son of a b*tch !"  He growled and when i felt him going toward Caleb again , I clutched on his arm stopping him , "N-no , stay , please." I said , my voice muffled with my sobs as I couldn't contain the pain inside me anymore. 

If Ashton didn't come , I don't know what would've happened.

No , i actually know , but I don't want to even think about it. I can't think about it.

His eyes softened , when his eyes fell on my body again , he directly took his sweater off and placed it around me, "I am sorry baby, i am so sorry." He said , his voice breaking , "It's my fault, it's all my fault, I should've not let you leave alone."

He pulled me toward his body , i buried my face in his chest as i felt my whole body and mind going numb.

He tightened his hold over me , "I am so sorry." He kept on saying sorry and apologizing and I couldn't find my voice to tell him it's not his fault, it's nobodies but Caleb's fault.

I would never forgive him.

Ashton pulled away , he placed one hand on my back , the other under my knees , "Let me take you upstairs." He said , I immediately wrapped my arms around his neck pressing myself closer toward his chest , toward the only place where i feel safe.

"NO ! " Alex suddenly screamed , the alarm in his tone made Ashton freeze in his place. "ASHTON !"

A gun shot was fired, its voice echoed in the whole house , a gasp escaped my lips as it was followed by a loud shattering of glass.

Ashton turned around , his muscles tensed, his eyes wide as mine , and that's when i saw Alex fighting Caleb pushing him away , and there was a gun in Caleb's hand.

I looked at them seeing if anyone get hurt by the gun shot but there was nothing.

They kept on fighting, Ashton placed me down and pushed me behind him protectively.

Caleb managed somehow to push Alex away and once he did that , he pointed the gun toward Ashton again making him stop dead in his track.

My breath accelerated and my chest grew tight, Caleb walked forward toward Ashton still pointing the gun toward him , even after all the hits and the blood covering his face , he still seem able to move and balance himself.

"Put the gun down , Caleb." Ashton said , he tried to move closer but Caleb directly shook his head , "Don't !" He warned him.

I was blinded with terror , I didn't know what to do , "Caleb please." I found my voice again pleading for Ashton's life , "Put the gun down ,please."

His eyes flickered to my direction, something flashed in his eyes , He shook his head and i saw him moving the gun away.

I almost got relieved but that didn't last because instead of placing the gun away , he placed it against his own head.

My eyes widened in horror as i saw him almost pulling the trigger. Alex came from behind him and removed his hand away from his head , but Caleb didn't gave up easily so Alex launched over him trying to take the gun away.

"Stay here." Ashton ordered as he stepped forward to help Alex.

But then it all happened in slow motion.

Another gun shot sounded , followed by another.

The voice alone felt like a bullet into my heart. I gasped and cried loud as i saw the white carpet turning red.

My gaze followed to see from where it's coming. The sight alone took my breath away. I sank into my knees unable to stand still on my feet anymore , unable to wrap my mind about what happened or how it even happened.

Scared, lost , grief-stricken , unspeakable anguish sat just beneath the surface of my skin as i wailed in despair.

"NOO !!"

The Chapter was longer that I thought it would be, a lot of things happened in it.
