6: rantings
But darling, its okay to be afraid of losing someone sometimes -anonymous
6: rantings
I muttered some profanities under my breath. I felt her froze. Her face was delicately placed in the crook of my neck as it moulded with perfection.
Anika, you are not making this easy for me. Get up.
Her weight was crushing me but I couldn't care less. In her attempt to separate herself away from my body, her hair hit me ever so slightly. The sweet scent of vanilla engulfed me, as I managed to untangle my hand and hold up a fist of her hair and smelled it.
Damn woman.
I removed her hair and tucked it behind her ear as she stared at me dumbly. Her breaths were shaky, her eyelids shy and a smile threatened to raise on her lips.
"You are blushing." I whispered.
"I am not not." She said, blushing even more profusely.
"Denial is bad."
"Assumption is even worse."
"Not when you can see with you eyes."
"Eyes deceive."
"Shut up Anika." I groaned. "Now get up, would you? Or you like the view too much that you are savoring it with glee?"
"I would rather watch tomatoes." She pouted. She made an attempt to stand, when she fell again, loosing her balance as her lips grazed by neck by the impact of the hit.
"Anika!" I screamed as she looked at me horrified.
"Sorry, I didn't intend to do that." She said gesticulating feverishly. "I am sorry." She hastily rubbed the part of my neck. "Let me just clean," she muttered and all the amount of self control in me was slowly evaporating.
"I am okay, just go there." I pointed to the sofa and she reluctantly obliged.
I made my way towards the washroom and stood in front of the mirror. I glanced at the faint mark and as if on a cue a deep red blush marked my face.
This is not the time to gush and do honey boo bear things, Shivaay. Get a grip on yourself.
I felt more giddy, the feeling to let myself loose. Since the time Anika has came in the office, this hasn't stopped. I didn't dwell on the fact much, but now thinking about it, I am not so sure that its nothing.

"What did you want?" I said tiredly as her lips curled.
"I want you to take me to Dadi."
"No." I stated firmly. "You don't have to. She is not at Oberoi Mansion."
"Please, I know she is at the hospital. I want to meet her."
"No." I responded while working on the laptop. "No usually does means no."
"Usually. Lay the emphasis on usually."
"Fine, you have a good sense of humour but please leave me alone. I need to work lady."
"Let me take in the compliment. First ever by Shivaay Singh Oberoi." She smiled cheekily at me and I melted at her smile. "You know, I thought you were angry."
"I am."
"You have a weird way of expressing it."
"I feel giddy, just that. Now you can leave."
"Shivaay, are you okay?"
"Perfect." I said busily typing. I didn't notice how close we were until I felt her hands on my shoulder. "What?"
"I don't think you are okay." Her serious face confused me.
"What happened to me? See I am good."
"If you say so. I thought you won't even speak a word to me, let alone a full sentence with full punctuations."
I laughed.
"Now, I seriously think something's up with you Shivaay." Her hand rested on my wrists as she dragged me.
"I am calling Om."
"Anika, don't you command me. I have work, let me do that."
"You didn't even roar at me for not letting you do work."
"Am I a lion that I would roar?"
"Yes, king of the jungle."
"And you are my lioness." I nudged her playfully, a little alarmed by my easiness. Got some guts, Shivaay. "Anika, wait. . ."

I stood at the threshold of an anonymous clinic, I haven't went before, and looked at Om.
"Why don't you both understand that I am perfectly good."
"Shivaay, shush."
"List-"
"Shush."
I glared at both of them and kept quiet. I entered the clinic as the doctor gaped at me. "Mr Oberoi, you here?"
"Just do your job." Anika spoke with urgency as he motioned me to have a seat. He took a sample of my blood and examined it.
"You all can have a seat outside. I will call you in ten."
"Anika, Om this all is unnecessarily. You are making the thing an uphill task."
"Shivaay, I think you should keep quiet. I am worried for you." Om said tiredly. "I will kill you if all this is your mistake."
"What did I do now?" I pouted at them.
"See, you are pouting. This isn't you Shivaay. You are too relaxed for your own good."
"He looks cute." Anika confessed and I blushed. The red tinge crept higher onto my neck.
"I am not cute. And you can't compliment me."
"Its my mouth, I will use it whenever I want."
"You can't, its not given to rant whenever you want."
"Shivaay, don't put a fight with me. You know you will lose."
"Shivaay Singh-"
"Oberoi always loses." She mimicked me.
"You did not just say that." I marched at Anika with a threatening look.
"I said that only."
"Don't talk to me Anika." I murmured defeated. She is so bad and evil. "You are a chipmunk."
"Chipmunk?"
"Chipmunk." I noticed her glare intensifying.
"Chipmunk, seriously?"
"Chipmunk seriously."
"Maybe Chipmunk can be our always." I heard Om chucking from behind as I peeked at him. Anika looked at him warily as he shrugged his shoulders. "I am into John Green."
"Om, you are gay?" I asked.
"What about Gauri?" Anika questioned.
"Guys, that was my bad. I meant into his books." Om clarified embarrassed.
"That just relieved my heart. See, now its beating." I spoke.
"It was beating before too." I looked at Anika, with a curious glance. "You are seated beside me. Of course it will beat, maybe even faster." She winked.
Before I could reply or Om could say something, the doctor came. "Mr Oberoi, there is drug in your blood."
So I had this writer's block and I couldn't write anything. I hope you enjoyed, and sorry for the cliffhanger ;') Hopefully, the next update would be soon. Please vote and comment.
