Your name is Gumi, and you are currently feeling quite alone.

You've been feeling quite down lately, and lately the only person you can relax or laugh around is Rin.

You haven't really known Rin for that long. You only met because you sang a duet together.

But you were happy. And she was happy.

She's always been happy around you, and you're thankful for that.

Through all of the many, many gray, uncertain days, she's been your sunshine.

The only light that makes sense most of the time.

As it's pouring in your state of mind, she'll just smile at you.

She hasn't exactly offered a hand yet.

Maybe you hide how you're feeling well enough, or maybe she's just as uncertain as you are.

But the rain eases up, and you smile back every time.

Miku started shipping the two of you at some point, and then all of the Vocaloids followed her example.

You aren't sure how to feel about that, but the way Rin sheepishly grins and will jokingly flirt with you until two in the morning is proof enough of how she feels.

You're not sure if you can feel anything right now, but you're already extremely fond of her little smirks and the millions of dusted freckles she has, and all the goofy faces she makes and the eyebrow waggling, and the way she's always glowing.

You certainly adore everything about her appearance.

The romantic in you is already planning cute dates and how your first kiss will go and how amazing it'll be to finally not face rejection for once, but there's a part of you that's still numb and stuck in the wind and snow, and whispering that you don't even know her enough to have a crush on her. That your emotions could just be because you're so desperate for company, for your dreams to come true; or maybe just because she's so stunningly beautiful and adorable to you.

You worry that maybe it's really shallow.

Unaware of any of this, Rin asks you out, as everyone knew she would.

You say yes, because despite everything, you're excited and certainly interested in the possibilities.

As you dream, you're already planning how you'll beg her to keep being your friend after the breakup.

All you want is to be friends with her, and yes, you're interested, but knowing you, it just can't end well; this goes against all the research and all the hours and hours of googling what it's like to truly be in love--

And you've gone back to worrying.

You don't know who Rin really is.

Is she a good person? Who is she, deep inside and below all of the ADHD tendencies and cheer and what you think is kindness?

A hurricane forms in your skull as your favorite blonde looks at you like she's the luckiest she's ever been.

You don't know what you're doing.

But you grab her hand and you hope you've picked the path to the sun.
