I DREAMT

yesterday i dreamt
of a phoenix in flight
of a creature drawn to light
a creature of mystical might
it was a majestic sight

today i dreamt
of a dead knight come to life
leaving me in so much fright
tall he was in height
stood he did ready to fight

my dreams have a dramatic plot
which tend to leave me distraught
and in an unhealthy train of thought
with meanings i know not

BEFORE ME

A door opens up before me
Light is all i can see
To go through not knowing? What is on the other side waiting for me?
I still take a leap

A world lays before me
A sight so fantastical
I want to flee
But all i can do is
Look on with glee

A decision lays before me
To leave or stay and have tea
It's not everyday you see the mad hatter and alice
Beckoning to come and have some cake
Being carefree is my take

A world opens up before me
It's mine this time
And it's the break of day
Another world explored
I'll wait another day
