🏵Chapter 5🏵
Unedited
February 14
Amazing woke up curling her arms on a pillow rather than her husband. She finally opened up her eyes but didn't see him in bed, she rose up checking the bathroom, he wasn't in there either.
So she stealthily walked into the children's room in search of him, whenever she doesn't find him in the room, he's always in there, playing with the three of them. He wasn't there either!
She finally gave up! Maybe he's somewhere in his secret place, praying towards today's! She almost found herself laughing.
BamBam it's Valentine's programme not a crusade oh!
She felt parched an decided to take water from the kitchen.
She walked into the kitchen to find him peeling Irish potatoes, he was disappointed to see her awake, he was supposed to bring her breakfast in bed. She leaned against the door an crossed her legs.
"Good morning BamBam"
"Shit! You weren't supposed to wake yet. I wanted to bring you breakfast in bed. I got this irish potatoes from one Aboki yesterday, I forgot how hard it is to peel these things"
Amazing laughed moving close to him, "Why did you think I stopped when I tried it like three times as baby food?" "Babe, why are you awake?" "I wanted to put my legs over something then I realized my human pillow was missing"
Bamidele laughed washing his hands, "I'm sorry. Happy love day Babe" "Same here" She said wrapping her arms across his waist now leaning against his back. "Happy love day BamBam. Except in our case, every time feels like Valentine"
"Because you got married to a guy that knows how to run these things!" He bragged and she laughed, tickling him. "Pride" "Jesus! You know I'm ticklish and you don't want to wake up sleeping dragons"
Amazing picked a knife, "You don't know that I'm the dragon slayer" "Oshey! Jet Lee, abi what should I call you" "Deborah, following Barak to war" "Hm, the enemies are in trouble" He took the knife from her now rinsing it and she returned back to leaning against his back.
"We were talking about slaying dragons"
"You can never slay my dragons"
Amazing laughed, "Thank God, in a good way that you're not still fasting cause I wouldn't have been able to do this" She planted a kiss on his back and he smiled, "What's that taste?" "Sweat mixed in chocolate Vanilla puree" She kissed his back again then he faced her biting his lower lips.
"Two years down the line and we're still tasting flavours. Newsflash, I'm still not tired of your flavours"
"I'm not tired either" She wrapped her arms around his neck parting his lips with hers while he wrapped his arms around her kissing her as though his life depended on it.
She hoists herself onto a kitchen stool without lifting her mouth from his, he dropped one of his hands to the counter while she wrapped her legs around his thighs biting her lips while his tongue trace the sensitive skin on her neck.
He grabbed her ass she gasped laughing, "Oooh. Your favourite part" She comments and he laughed. "I love you, to the sun, moon and back" "I love you too. I know you had plans for service in our church but I just had to ruin it with Gbadamosi's plan. I feel I'm imposing on you"
"You're not imposing, you're my husband. I go wherever you go to"
This was followed by loud cry from Erin and Ore then Amazing shut her eyes, "Inumidun has woken them up" "Definitely Inumidun!" Bamidele agreed, "Why don't you go in and relax"
"Relax? Really? With those kids?"
"Daddy will serve you guys Valentine breakfast"
"Hmmmn, can I place a special order?"
"At your service baby"
"Give me Love, with a dash of something sweet, spicy and naughty"
Bamidele licked his upper lip, "Oooh, coming right up baby, coming right up"
"Mummy is coming to the rescue!!" She screamed leaving the kitchen and he laughed, it's switch from wifey to MOmmy for him!
Gbadamosi dropped a message on the WFC workers whatsApp group.
Take sometime to pray for tonight' meeting. It's not your casual Valentine's meeting. Remember all workers are to show up by 5 or before 5. Excuses from workers will be entertain, you want to go do what you're not suppose to do bah? Remember the Lord is watching you from heaven in 4D
Will *not be entertained! Sister Joke, I know must have been happy seeing that mistake.
Don't forget the gifts we're supposed to bring in and share among workers. Even if it's 50 naira biscuit.
Or coaster biscuit.
Show love ❤❤❤
Good morning and Blessings to all of you.
PS: Don't slide into my DM if you want to give excuses. For today, I don't know anybody. The number you're trying to dial Is temporarily unavailable... Thank you very much
Ade: Papa I was wondering if I can dye my hair red and white since it's Valentine....
Gbadamosi scoffed on seeing the message then he thought of what to type

Wise decision Ade!
Good morning Papa
Amen🙏
His phone rang and he answered the call smiling, "Good morning Temi" "Good morning Gbadamosi, how are you?" "I'm good, how was your night?" "Great" "How's the preparation for tonight?" "Going well, I can't wait... I feel like God is set to do something, I know he is. I woke up with this joy"
"Awwwn. Sorry I'll be missing the show because of Alade, his family already made plans that I couldn't cancel"
"It's fine"
"Guess what?"
"What?"
"Kilahi got the job"
"Oh."
"Yes, she'll be starting work today" "Why are you telling me?" "Since we spoke about her.. I just thought... Forget about it"
Gbadamosi rolled his eyes, feeling awful "Sorry for sounding like an asshole" "No. You have a point, I don't even know why I'm saying this" "I guess congratulations are in order for her" "Yeah. Guess what? I keep forgetting to mention it. I finally confirmed our suspicion, she was the one you spoke about who wanted to commit suicide"
"How did you find out?"
"Well, she said it during the interview"
"Why will she want to?"
"I can't say. I'll find out one way or the other, I really didn't want to dump it all on her and go all therapist on her so... I'll find out eventually, it might be a whole lot of reasons, depression, environmental life event, a whole lot!"
"It all boil down to the Toxicity level of the mind"
"True. Happy Valentine's day Cous"
"You too Temi, enjoy your day"
"I will"
Temi ended the call leaving him concerned about Kilahi's wellbeing. He hissed knowing he'll be probably be spending the day thinking about it even if it's in a flash.
Kilahi wore a white gown looking into the mirror, "Should I wear white cooperate gown on my first day to work? It's Valentine's day, I don't want to look like I'm the only one celebrating"
"Madam you're not wearing red. You looks smashing" Sewuese replied and Kilahi shot her a glare, "I'm taking it off, the last time you said smashing, Aunty Abebi was asking if I came for choir rehearsals. She should not come and ask me if I'm an angel" "That woman no get chills" "Trust me! She's the one I'm scared of"
"My baby is going to work!" She snapped her fingers and Kilahi danced, "That's it baby! That's it"
She stopped exhaling loudly, "It's like a dream come true"
Sewuese pointed at her sticker, "All thanks to m sticker" "I'll throw that thing away" "Avoid my sticker! The only thing left is a man so that we can win our bet. Thank God your pay is sweet. No wonder, they are paying that much for an NGO"
"Why?"
"You've not done your research? Aisha Bakare is the wife of Lamido Bakare, the man is in the Senate, he has political ambition in this coming election"
"Like for real?"
"Babe! The moment you mentioned the salary, I had to do my research!"
Kilahi smiled, "Wow" "You're lucky. Not like my own work that wants to kill me because they retained me after NYSC, but I'm grateful still. What you need now is a man in your life" "Don't hold your breathe, I'll soon become a millionaire when you guys lose"
"I'm holding that breath" "You will die oh!" She laughed looking into her buldging eyes from the mirror.
"My eye bags are showing. I can't believe I stayed all night sewing, you guys are not even paying me"
"Your reward is in heaven"
"Ishi!"
Deja answered a call from her mother, " Good morning Mom" "Good morning" "How's your health?" "I'm doing better, happy Valentine" "Happy Valentine to you too Mom" "Another Valentine's day you're spending alone, Adejare, are you happy with your life?"
"Is this what you called me for?"
"Yes! I called so I can once again talk senses into you head"
"If i don't pick your call now, you'll start calling everyone in the world to talk to me. Is that what you want Mom? A situation where I ignore your calls? What's all this rubbish?"
"It's me that you're asking that question Deja"
Deja exhaled, "Mom, I'm sorry but you have a way of getting on my nerves, is it my fault that I'm not marrried?" "Yes, it's your fault! How many suitors have you driven away? I can't count, why? Because of this man you say you're in love with"
"Mom, you just have to be patient"
"Patient? How old are you?"
"Mom..."
"How old?" She screamed and Deja grits her teeth, "31 years old" "Thirty one and you expect me to fold my hands and watch you waste away" "Mom, calm down. I have a good feeling about this year. He's going to make his move this year"
"Who is this he? I'll call your Pastor and report to him"
"I swear to God Mommy, if you dare, I'll never forgive you. I won't call you or speak to you ever again!"
"Adejare, you're threatening me"
"Just give me time, see I just need to"
Her mother ended the call on her and she groaned angrily. "God, I'm tired! Place your hands on my Marital destiny, open Pastor Gbadamosi's eyes to see me. Just this one request oh" She knelt down in bed, "Just this one, I'm not asking for much"
Hilary walked down the street dialing her mother in law's number, "Please pick up, please" "Wetin you want this morning" "Happy Valentine's day" "We don't celebrate Pagan day. I already told you to stop calling me on this day"
"Can I talk to Ossy? Please?"
"He's preparing for school"
"Please! I'm begging you"
She hissed, the voice that followed was the voice of a young boy, "Mummy, good morning" "Hey!" She exhaled, "Good morning my love," It felt so good to hear his voice.
"How are you Baby?"
"I'm fine"
"Happy Valentine's day"
"Gra.... Gra.." He stammered, "Grandma said it's pagan, I don't know what pagan means but from the look on her face, it's bad"
Hilary rolled her eyes, "It's just a day to show love, I'm not celebrating the love of the two lovers, it's love generally, well it depends on however way people want to view it. Your grandma doesn't like it so I respect her views. How are you?"
Ossy laughs, "I al...al...ready said I'm fine" He stuttered, "How are you?" She asked again and they both laughed this time. "I can't ask enough. You have no idea how I miss you"
"I miss you too"
"Awwn. Do you mean that?"
"Yes. When are you coming?" "When school goes on holiday" "It's far"
Hilary shut her eyes, her heart was breaking, "Baby I wish" "Baby what?" Her mother in law's voice resounded, "Don't be calling this boy baby, you want to kill him like you killed his father shey?"
"I'm not done talking to my son"
"Well, you're done when I say you're done" She snapped hanging up and she rolled her eyes in tears.
Kilahi walked into an office space she will be sharing with a lady then she took pictures in it but ended up deleting the pictures. She ended up taking pictures of the office space alone then she sent it to her Aunt, Terdoo, Sewuese, Durojaiye and Sefa on whatsapp.
Durojaiye's message was the first to come in
Awwwn, the decor is nice. Where's your face?
Which face? Shebi you wanted to see the office?
With your face in it🙄
I deleted all the pictures, it was not looking nice
Kilahi!!!
Recording audio.........
Kilahi quickly went offline. She'll listen to later, not like she doesn't know what she'll say. Her office partner walked in, "Kilahi right?" The lady asked and she nodded, "Yes Ma. Good morning"
"Good morning. Call me Didi, my name is Edidiong Akpan" She replied stretching her hands and Kilahi shook her hands.
"Nice to meet you"
"You too."
"How's work here? Is it good? How has the working experience been? Don't mind my asking oh"
She shrugged, "Sometimes not too busy, sometimes busy, other days, it can choke! But still it's fine because our boss is a good woman and we're making a difference here."
"Oh. Mrs Aisha called for you"
She heard an arguement between Abebi and Mrs Aisha in hausa as she approached the office. She understood everything they were saying, they were arguing about her. She wanted to turn back but she knocked instead, after all, Mrs Aisha asked to see her!
"Come in!"
She walked in bending her knees slightly, "Good morning Ma" "And the angel walks in I should I call her a ghost?" She asked referring to the gown she wore.
"Should i come back later?"
"No dear" Mrs Aisha replied, "You finally settled for a no good" "Beyi ba Sam sam (It's not fair, it's not fair at all)" She snapped and Aunty Abebi walked out of the office.
Mrs Aisha exhaled, "Good morning Ma" "Good morning dear" "Is everything okay?" "Yes. We were just having... A talk about what we witnessed. How are you?" "Ina lafiya (I'm fine)" She replied and she raised her brow in surprise.
"You speak?"
"Yes. So I heard everything. I'm sorry you had to get into this argument with your sister because of me, I feel at fault"
"Aunty Abebi is just acting up, she'll calm down soon enough. How come you speak? You're igede, I get that Benue is still considered as north but...."
"We used to live in Abuja, Dad was into the Pastoral ministry so we juggled between Benue and Abuja. Besides my parents were fluent, may their soul rest in peace. So also my grandmother."
"Nice. Now I have an hausa speaking partner. This feels so nice, what happened to your eyes?" "I stayed awake all night sewing Valentine dress for my cousin"
"You sew?"
"Somehow, I learned after secondary school, I've been practicing with my Aunty's sewing machine" "It's good. I dabble in tie and dye myself, my husband doesn't like it because it leaves stains on my hand"
"Oh. Wow, Miss Didi told me you.."
"Yes! I'll be going out to the orphanage home today, about three orphange homes to commemorate this day. You'll be following the team"
"Oh"
"Yes. No much paper work today, we are showing charity to all children within our reach. Welcome to Revive Foundation once again"
"Thank you Ma"
Hilary walked around a client's house jotting down notes, "Is it worth the money?" Her client asked referring to the house she just got. "My mother prefers the old place" "What matters Is what you think" "Safe answer but right now, I want something honest, I don't want to believe I just paid million naira for something that isn't worth it"
Hilary exhaled, "I'm sorry but you're interrupting my logistics" "Sorry" "It's not as if you can return the money back" "At least I'll have a professional view" "What does your husband think?"
"You know he's not in the country so... He's quiet about it, he said it looks smaller in the picture. The old house looks bigger right"
"It was spacious but this one is more modern and up to date than the other. When the decor comes in, the whole place will look amazing "
"That was why I'll chose you guys company over and over again. I didn't even know they'll send you to come over again"
Hilary faked a smile, "Thank you for choosing Tee Decor and Logistics" "Are you okay?" She asked and Hilary rolled her eyes, "No, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and I don't want to talk about it Ma, let me just do my job, I'll make suggestions and if you agree, we'll move on to the next! "
"You know what will help you?"
"A strong drink?"
"No. A good old outing, do you have plans tonight?"
"No."
"My church is holding a Valentine service, it's going to be Amazing! We don't hold boring programmes oh" "I don't feel like going anywhere"
"Hold that thought" She walked up to her handbag, "I think I have those stickers here" She rummage through her handbag, "There it is!" She removed the squeezed sticker, "It's looking funny but..." She removed the paper behind the sticker gluing it on her notepad.
"That's company book"
"It'll serve as a reminder, it's tonight"
At about 3:45 pm after the third meeting, Kilahi stood outside an orphanage home looking at at the time on her phone. Before she'll get home to start dressing up, she'll definitely come in late. Sewuese called so she picked up.
"Hey, are you guys still there?"
"Yes. We're heading to work now"
"Will you be able to make it like this?"
"I don't know and I just can't tell my boss to excuse on my first day of work"
"I understand. I'll be in church with your dress" "And the white headband oh!" "No wahala, you'll just come at once instead of going home"
"I've heard. Bye now" She ended the call seeing Mrs Aisha talking to a woman from afar. She walked towards her and Mrs Aisha held her hands dragging her to a corner, "Is everything okay? I noticed your countenance after the call you made"
Kilahi faked a smiled, "Oh. It's my cousin" "Is he or she okay?" "Yes" "Be honest" "There's this programme in church I'm supposed to attend" "Are you late for it?"
"No! Just that I'll be late if I don't go quickly"
"You should have said something"
"It's my first day of work"
Mrs Aisha exhaled, "Okay.... I'll be done here in a bit. I'll drop you off" "Huh?" She asked in shock and Mrs Aisha laughed, "It's no big deal. Don't forget to get your gift, Mrs Amadi is in charge it"
"Thank you Ma, God bless you!"
Word Foundation Church
Mrs Aisha dropped her off in front of the church and drove off while Sewuese who was clad in a short red gown walked up to her with a school bag on her back they not walked past the gate. "Good evening" She said greeting the security man.
"My body is sweaty, does this church have a bathroom?" She was still holding on to the gift bag she was given.
"It's a big church now, they will" She replied walking up to Bimbo who has a white shirt and red skirt. "Good evening" "Good evening Ma"
"Are you are a member?"
"Depending on the membership"
Sewuese chuckles, "Of this church" "Yes" "Please where's the bathroom? My cousin will like to take her bathe she just got back from work"
"Oh! Easy, let her follow me. I'm one of the ushers"
"Perfect! Let me go tell her" She rushed back to Kilahi, "Follow that lady, she's an usher"
Kilahi collected the school bag then she walked up to Bimbo, "Good afternoon, what's your name" "Usher Bimbo, Originally, my mother gave me Bimbola Momodu but this church has throw away my surname, so first name, Usher, second name Bimbo, Usher Bimbo Ma"
Kilahi laughed, "I'm not Ma oh, I'm just 26, you must be older than me sef" "It comes with the job description , even if you're fourteen, an usher will still refer you as Ma. This way Ma" She said getting the gift bag from her, "Let me help you with this"
She led the way and Kilahi followed her.
Meanwhile Sewuese turned towards Sefa who was laughing with her boyfriend. She exhaled missing Jamal's presence.
Hilary got into the house to see her flat mate putting on a red earring, "Madam, I was waiting for you to come, I won't be coming back today so don't wait up" "Okay" "So you won't be going out?"
"No"
"On a whole Valentine?"
"And so? You practically stay home on Sundays without remorse but me staying home on Valentine's day is now a sin. Who has brainwashed us?" She hissed and Jennifer rolled her eyes.
"Shebi if you had managed the other relationship well, you would have had somewhere to go. So you're going to stay all alone. So pathetic!" She rolled her eyes, "Soothe yourself, watch African Magic and reflect on how pathetic your life is" She snapped and Hilary rolled her eyes.
"Jennifer mind the way you talk to me"
"Come and beat me now" She snapped leaving the house and Hilary threw her office files on the table and her eyes fell on the sticker. She picked her phone searching for Word Foundation Church on Google.
Gbadamosi glanced at his wrist watch, it was 5:15, for no reason he was nervous about the programme. That good kind of anxiety! His phone buzzed then he gazed at the caller ID, it was his friend Sam.
"Good evening Gbadamosi" His british accent resounded and Gbadamosi smiled, his pronunciation was better than Brenda's.
"I've been trying to call you"
"I was praying. Where are you?" "Stuck in traffic, I'm scared I might arrive late, I had meeting with the guys, some of them didn't show up early because of Lagos traffic, now I'm facing one myself and I have to confess, it gets annoying everyday"
"I'm sorry."
"Anything for you. Will Brenda will there?"
"Yes" "And Manny?"
"Yes! Your seats are reserved"
"Cool. See you when I get there"
Gbadamosi finally got out of his office walking into the church auditorium to notice the sound has not been set up yet.
"It's 5:15, Where are these guys?"
Deja walked up on him admiring the black suit he wore on a red top she bought for him as a new year present.
Hei God are you trying to say something to me, speak oh! This you servant heareth!
"Sister Deja" He called out and she moved close to him, "Have you seen any of the technical guys?" "No Sir, I've been arranging the whole place, I didn't notice. Wait, they're not here by this time? I thought the agreement was that all workers should be present by and before 5, we all know they have work, but I took permission from work. It's just a day, the business will not collapse. People's mentality never cease to amaze me"
Gbadamosi looked at a bulb, "I told them to change that bulb. These guys" "What they need is strong hands to deal with them Sir, you're taking it too easy on them" She complained and he took off his suit handing it to her.
"Hold it"
"I hope it's not what I think you're doing?"
"What does he look like?" He asked walking towards the sound system and she sniffed his suit, "God, it's the scent for me. God I use this suit to tap into the anointing of marriage"
Kilahi stepped out of the bathroom in a red gown that had a organza balloon arm and a white head band.
Bimbo smiled, "Oshey! Wow, I love your dress, are you sure pe you will not give me after this programme like this?"
"Are you serious?"
"I'm dead serious, as I'm looking at this gown, it's like you used a lot of money to buy it"
"I made it myself"
"So pe Olorun (Say God) "
"I'm serious"
"Wow, so you have talent like this" "I'm not comfortable, I'm recieving compliments, it seems weird" "You look so beautiful on this gown, the only thing that remains is make up, walahi, it's not as if you're not fine as you are oh but if you just add make up lasan like this! Everybody will just give standing ovation when you walk in"
Kilahi chuckled, "Are you whinning me?" "I'm serious" "Thank you. You just have a way of boosting one's morale. Are you sure you're not doing it because of you job description, " "I'm a honest person, if Bimbo says she likes your dress, that's nothing but the truth" She handed the gift bag to her and Kilahi refused it.
"Happy Valentine"
"I don't understand"
"What's this?"
"It was a gift given to me by boss. I think you should have it"
"No. It's a gift"
"And I'm gifting it to you for helping me out. Thank you"
Bimbo smiled, "I won't want to collect It but since you're insisting... Thank you too" She shrieked embracing her.
Sewuese watched Kilahi walk towards her then she pulled out her phone taking her picture. "Stop it!" She screamed covering her face and Sefa gasped, "Your cloth looks finer than mine. It doesn't even look like rush work"
Kilahi gasped, "Is that a compliment I hear?" "No." "Are you sure we're not here too early like this? I feel like we're too early"
5:35 pm
Church members and Guests trooped in while Joseph Brigg's Giver of good things played in the auditorium. The instrumental resonated giving a romantic vibe as people swayed to it.
"Testing microphone 1, 2, 123" Gbadamosi echoed standing by the mixer fixing up sounds while the technicians begged him to take over, "Gbada!" Manny called out waving at him and he waved back giving him a thumbs up. .
"Papa now! Leave that thing for us"
"Why didn't you guys come in early?" "We were stuck in traffic Sir."
He pushed the microphone away, "Okay now, remember I told you fix the bulb"
"We'll fix It now"
"Now that people are entering"
"We're sorry Sir, you didn't need to stress yourself" "So I would have waited till now, guests are coming in and" He looked up watching Kilahi walk in with Sewuese and Sefa, they were all clad in red gown.
His eyes zoomed in on Kilahi!
"Look at our handsome Pastor at one o clock" Sewuese noted then Kilahi's gaze fell on him while Sefa gasped, "You guys know that you're hitting on a man of God. May the Lord forgive you guys"
"Amen. He's looking towards this direction, don't look at him directly" Sewuese warned Kilahi but it was too late, they were both making eye contact already.
She cleared her throat looking at all the romantic decoration, "I'll give the decorators 10 over 10 for the decor. It's like walking into a romantic scene, even though I've not walked into one, I've watched enough movies to know how it looks like"
"I'm so excited about being here okay? Who knows, luck might just be on your side, you might end up finding love today"
Kilahi rolled her eyes.
"Papa?" The tech HOD called out trailing his look, "Papa" they called out again and Gbadamosi cleared his throat, "See what I'm saying, guests are coming in and the lights... The lights are.. You guy should do the needful, I'll be in the office" He walked away, making his way into his office then he exhaled.
"What the hell is happening to me?" He exhaled thinking of how good she looked on that red gown a small smile crawled to the edge of his lips. "Jesus!!!" He muttered staring at his suit on the chair.
"Let's get a good seat" Sewuese suggested but Sefa disagreed, "Teju and I will stay alone" "You guys better not do anything stupid" "In church?"
Manny walked up to Kilahi, "Hey there" He held her hands and she smiled, "Hey. You clashed into me that Sunday" "Yes I did, I'm sorry about it" "That's like three weeks ago and you're apologizing"
"I still don't know why you look so familiar, like I've seen you somewhere"
"I don't think so, apart from that day in church, no."
"Okay, then I guess you won't mind me getting to know you?" He stretched his hands and she grabbed it, "My name is Kilahi Agbo" "That's a beautiful name"
Her eyes almost popped open, what happened today? Why is she just receiving compliments, left right, center? It's so weird it feels almost like a dream!
Sewuese cleared her throat dropping her hands and Kilahi smiled, "This Is my cousin, Sewuese Adzer" "I know Kilahi, it's a Benue name, my sister had a friend, Ogo Kilahi."
Weird! Miss Temi said the same thing!
"Sewuese, Is that Benin?"
"No." She replied shaking her head, "People usually mistake my name for Osawuese, i'm a TIV girl"
"Wow, nice to meet the both of you, my name is Maniola Coker, you can call me" "Like Manny Coker?" Sewuese opened her eyes in shock, "Oh my God! It's all coming back to me now. You're Manny Coker, the OAP, oh my God"
"It's not a big deal"
"He has pride" Sewuese and Kilahi said at the same time and they both chuckled. "It's not pride"
"Ignore us, modesty is pride to us" Sewuese explained watching him flash a smile at Kilahi, "Gosh, I love your dress" "Huh?" "I said i love your dress"
"I heard, I just didn't believe it"
What's going on??? Is she in an alternate universe? Are you sure she's not going to wake up to find out she's dreaming, cause it definitely looks like that dream of her wearing a wedding gown..... But why is everything not on slow motion???
"What reason do I have to lie? The dress looks good on you"
Kilahi swallowed hard, it's not everyday she hears good comment on her dress, what kind of cream did she use today? "Thank you" "You look nice too Sewuese"
"Thank you"
"Do you mind if I sit with you guys" "Sewuese and"
"Of course not" Sewuese gave Kilahi a look, "I'll sit with someone else. You guys can sit alone" "But..." "Nothing..." "We had plans" "What kind of stupid plans?" She asked with gritted teeth, is this one trying to make us lose our bet?
Kilahi lifted her index finger at Manny, "Give me a minute" She whispered pulling her aside, "We had plans to sit together. Remember Jamal didn't come along"
"Well change of plans, this guy can't slip"
"Why?"
"Cause he's hot" She yelled and Kilahi rolled her eyes, "Shhh. So you want to abandon me now, if he's a serial killer?"
"A hot serial killer"
"Dan boro Uba! Sewuese!"
"Does that face look like a serial killer to you? Look at that handsome young man there" They both turned towards him and he smiled plunging one hand in his pocket while the other waved at her, Kilahi quickly looked away.
"You're right he's fine but we can sit together"
"No. Won't you like that voice keeping you company throughout the evening?" "You're supposed to be my family"
"Are you going to get married to me?" She snapped loudly then they both faked laughter at him, "Thank you for embarrassing my destiny. I'm sure he heard you"
"See, I don't think any guy has ever come this close to almost making advances at you" "Don't make assumptions"
"It's in the eyes Baby! I don't know the cream you rubbed today but it's working for you, use It to your advantage."
"I'm scared, what will we talk about?"
"You guy should not worry about that. You're a talkative, your talkativeness will handle it"
Kilahi laughed sarcastically, "Hahaha, Thank you" "You're welcome. Enjoy the night" She added leaving her alone and she shut her eyes in embarassment walking up to him, "Did you..." She cleared her throat swallowing a big lump in her throat, "Did you by any chance hear our conversation?"
Manny chuckled, "Only the part she said, am I going to marry you? And that I'm hot" "Ignore what she said"
"Which part? The part about me being hot?"
Kilahi chuckled scratching he hair, "Not that side... Where do you want to sit?" "I have a reserved sit" "But you wanted to sit with us..." "It was a good excuse, as long I'm sitting close to you"
She almost screamed her head off, H-O-T!
"Where Is it?"
Gbadamosi sat in the office while Deja walked in with a wide smile, "Good evening Sir" "Evening Sister Deja, what's up?" "Pastor Bamidele Jones is around with his wife and kids" She announced and he smiled.
"I didn't think they'll show up early"
"He's not really a late comer. Let them in"
Kilahi was seated with invited guests and a few celebrity she recognized. She wondered how she got to be sitting there sef! Gbadamosi, Bamidele Jones, Amazing stepped out to the main Pastor chair while the remaining Pastors and minister sat at the back.
She was in a seated in position where she could see everything happen. Beside Manny was talking to Brenda who couldn't stop complaining about not being taken to seat close to Gbadamosi.
"It's strictly for Pastors"
"So? I'm his future wife," "I thought you guys were taking things slow" "Well, I'm hopeful. Very soon, i'll be seated there." "Wait till then, I have a Valentine's day date and I don't want to keep her on the sidelines"
"Are you going to fuck her afterwards?" She whispered and he raised his brow, "Seriously? We're in church" He scoffed then turned towards Kilahi who smiled shyly at him, "What?" He asked but she shook her head, "Nothing"
"Are you sure?"
Kilahi shook her head, "I'm in church, I don't want to lie. You don't call someone to sit with you only to sideline her. I'll hate to be the third wheel. You could have left me with Sewuese"
"I'm sorry. Brenda is a friend, I promise to give you my full attention from now on"
Kilahi laughed, "That wasn't exactly what I meant" "You miss Sewuese right?" "Yes... Kinda, I don't mean to make you feel bad" "It's fine. You know something I don't like about this church? They don't like following time. It's past 6, somebody needs to tell this Pastor, now he will take time like he did that Sunday"
Manny cleared his throat, if only she knew she was referring to his cousin, "I think there's a reason for it"
Sam, a tal British guy walked in spotting an empty seat close to Sewuese, he squeezed himself in and looking down at her, "Can I sit here?" He asked with the most lovely accent she has ever heard and she nodded staring into his blue eyes, is she going to be sitting with an Oyinbo guy??
Actually it was her first time up close with a white person, especially with that eye color.
Can it he be wearing contacts?? She has heard of whites having varieties of colors, some Nigerians have cat eyes, some turn red during Apollo (conjunctivitis) seasons! But this one was blue like the sky, or what can she used to describe it?
Sewuese tried to remain calm, she cleared her throat blinking her eyes, "The sit Is empty"
"I don't understand, you just nodded and you said the seat is empty"
"That's Nigerian for Yes" She replied then he laughed taking his seat, "You could have just said yes" "Well, welcome to Nigeria"
"You Nigerians are funny"
"You Nigerians? Why does that sound racist?"
"I wasn't being racist, It was a descriptive comparison"
"Are you now offering English classes, I thought I came to church. Oga, don't try to sugar coat racism, Racism Is racism, you are of the white race and I'm black. I won't be surprise if you're picturing me as an ape right now"
Sam laughed, "Okay that's not fair"
A Pastor started off with a short opening prayer; "I didn't mean it that way" "If you have no respect for people's culture at least have respect for God" She returned back to shutting her eyes and he did too.
Soon all lights went off and the programme kick starts with a ballet dance of the piece 'Obinigwe' dance from an invited dance group. Preaching a message of how sour human love gets when God doesn't have a hand in it.
Hilary walked in and the ushers guided her to a seat.
It was a powerful piece! The song was still fresh and here they were doing justice to the dance.
Kilahi cried, even though she tried to hide, Manny noticed so he handed her an handkerchief but she refused, "It's new, I've got a pack of It in my car"
Why? Does he wait for people to cry so he can give It them? Na wa oh
Who hands new handkerchief anyhow? OAP or is this one is a yahoo boy ni? You want to use my tears for ritual bah? As if she didn't have enough things she was crying about, let her not add another to the list.
Kilahi wiped it with her finger, Who has the old fashion style of wiping tears ever killed? "Thanks"
Manny had no option but to shove the handkerchief into his pocket.
Sam exhaled, "This is intense, really intense. What's the title of the song? I love it" "Se wo sepe fun e ni? (Have you been cursed?) Must you talk?" She whispered and he scoffed, "That's so not fair, you just spoke Nigerian to me, who's being racist now?"
Sewuese exhaled, "It's yoruba for 'are you sure you've not been cursed, you talk too much" "I'm quite the talkative, you might have to endure my excesses for the night. I know we began on a wrong foot, can we do over? I wasn't being racist, I'm all but racist, my name is Sam Thompson, yours?"
"Sewuese Adzer"
"Is that Yoruba?"
"No. TIV"
"Is that like a State in Nigeria?"
"No, it's a country" She snapped and he laughed realizing the sarcasm in her voice, "Cut me some slack, I thought the only tribe were Yorubas, Ibos and Hausas" "You might have to apologize to the remaining 400 and something ethnic groups"
"Wait... In this same country?"
"Yeah"
"When those people were trying to build a tower of babel to get to heaven and God created diversities, I think that took place in Nigeria, we need to go back to the history book" He joked and she laughed over it glancing at the choreography.
"Ishi!"
"What's that? The Ishi?"
"It's not Ishi, it's Ishi, it means head. It's an ibo word. The full word is Isi-ewu" "Hmm... Sounds romantic" "Ishi! Romantic kor . it means goat head" She hissed and he laughed, "Really? Are you whinning me?"
"Yes. Wait... Who taught you that?"
"I know the normal Nigerian lingo, God abeg, Abeg no vex, wahala for dead body, God when" He said and she busted into more laughter then she frowned at him, "Oga, come dey do commot, you're distracting me"
"So you speak Yoruba, IBO and Tiff" "T-I-V, TiV"
"TIV"
"I don't speak Igbo, only Yoruba, TIV, a little bit of Igede and I understand a little hausa too"
"Wow... That's like saying you speak four languages." "It's not the same" "This Igede" He pronounced with an accent and she widened her eyes, "Igede... Is that another country?" He teased and she nodded, "Yes, it's another country, my cousin's country in Continent Benue. Have you been there or you're just a Lagos Continent person?"
"No. I've been to you guys federal capital Abuja though, it's a really nice 'Continent'" He paused placing emphasis on continent and she chuckled, "Which planet are you from?"
"Planet London or Continent London, which ever soothes you"
"I'm being serious, I don't think you're human, you talk a lot and you're distracting me"
"I wish I'm an Alien body a times, but unfortunately, i'm from planet earth and I have a weakness for beautiful ladies, especially ladies in red" He chipped in and she busted into laughter, "Is that your weird way of flirting?"
"Did it work?"
"No. Now lemme alone"
"Okay, at least I'll go down in history as the one that tried to woo a Nigerian girl"
Sewuese blushed. Look at this mugu oh! She that has a boyfriend! Let Jamal catch you there!
Kilahi rose up in admiration, shut her eyes while folding her hands emotionally. Suddenly Gbadamosi turned back staring at her then he glanced back at the dancers who just ended their piece.
There was just something about how his heart jumped that moment, maybe it was fear of having an eye contact with her again. She was sitting beside Manny, can they be friends???
There was a standing ovation with a loud applause from everyone. "That was a beautiful one!" Sam yelled, "Beautiful!" He yelled turning towards Sewuese, "It's really beautiful"
Gbadamosi turned back on hearing his voice, he smiled facing the dancers who just bowed out then he turned back, this time, not to stare at Sam but Kilahi who was still in the thick of the song.
"Whoa!!!"
He clapped his hands taking his seat.
This followed by praise and worship, then Gbadamosi mounted on stage afterwards smiling. "I'm just super excited about today's event, who else is excited?" He asked and everyone screamed.
"Whoa! From the dance ministration to the choir, it has been completely mind blowing.. Like ..puuuuuusshh" He pulled an invisible trigger to his head. "Thank you Lord, I can literarily feel God's presence."
Glory!
Then he raised his favourite song at the moment
🎶If He dresses the lilies with beauty and splendor
How much more will He clothe you?
How much more will He clothe you?
If He watched over every sparrow
How much more does He love you?
How much more does He love you?🎶
He paused and the congregation echoed the song meanwhile Kilahi was there waiting for him to raise the song again. Okay apart from the bad characteristics... The man has voice sha!
"I'm here to remind you that this isn't just like any other Valentine's programme you've been to. It's not just for fun, your being here is a divine arrangement from God. I'm not saying it because I want to, I'm saying It because God told me. You being on this platform, this meeting, whether you believe it or not, God is changing things around for you"
Amen!!!
"He's positioning things in your favour, it might not look like but I can see his hands deleting what's not suppose to be"
Amen!!!
"He's replacing it with something better"
Amen!!
"And resetting things to it's original state. If that's your testimony, give a loud shout of Amen"
Amen!!!!!
"Okay. Very quickly, I want to thank everyone for honouring our invitation, despite your busy schedules, on a whole Valentine's day? When the world expects you to be on a date and probably committing all sorts of immoralities and atrocities. Rather you're in the presence of God, only lovers of God can do this. Can you all celebrate yourselves"
There was a round of applause then he smiled towards Sam, "Can we welcome Sam Thompson as he comes in to take his seat" He requested pointing at him and Deja rushed towards him.
"There's no need for that, I'm okay here"
"But.."
"Let's not cause a scene, Bada I'm fine!" He yelled and Deja left him alone.
"You had better go to your VIP seat" Sewuese advised, "And miss the chance of sitting close to a beautiful Nigerian woman" "Almost everyone here is Nigerian"
"Not everyone is as beautiful as you are"
Sewuese laughed. Jonz, jonzer, jonzest! Is equals to Sam! Is it Samuel or Samson? Abeg! She should not even ask before he starts removing history book! This one that can talk!
Gbadmosi nods, "It's also a wonderful thing to have a friend in the ministry here, this is a man that over the years I have grown to appreciate his personality and his style of teaching, this is a man that God has helped over the years, I met Bamidele late 2020, exactly on the 12th of October at a ministers programme in Ibadan. I can never forget that day Sir"
Bamidele laughed.
"He mesmerised me with his knowledge on God's word, he was not a guest speaker or anything, I was passing by when I overheard him speaking and I decided to be his friend. Ever since then, he's being a friend, an adviser, he's annoying too, always asking me when I'll get married"
"Papa when will you get married?" A session of his congregation thundered and he gasped in surprise now turning towards the choristers, "Even you guys??" He asked and everyone laughed.
"It's well. He certainly didn't come alone, he came with his beautiful wife, a woman of wisdom, fire, capacity and sound word, they came with Atarodo, they were peppering me in the office with their love and there I was asking God, when?" He joked and everyone laughed.
Deja looked up at the ceiling, God when?
"He doesn't like leaving his church, especially on days they also have programmes but I've been begging him since last year and he came today and I've never been so happy about this act in my life. Join me as I welcome Pastor Bamidele Jones, Baba Ibeta!"
Bamidele picked up him Bible, even when the protocols volunteered to help out he refused politely. Gbadamosi bowed his head and he bowed his head too, "Thank you" "Guy, stop am now" He begged and Gbadamosi chuckled embracing him.
"As the spirit leads bah?"
"Fourty minutes oh, before people go run leave you for this church" He joked walking away and Bamidele laughed holding on to the microphone.
"Humble man you know. Celebrate your Pastor, he's one of the humble ones and you know what God says about the Humble, he lifts them up" He gestured lifting his hands, "When I met him in October, i never knew the man had a church of his own, he was ready to sit under me and learn. The shock I received when he told me he's been doing ministry work for ten years and he was sitting under me. I love and celebrate you Man of God, God bless for your works in the kingdom"
Amen!!! The congregation echoed.
"I would have celebrated his wife but....." He trailed off and Gbadamosi shut his eyes laughing and everyone laughed too. "Hopefully, before the next Valentine. There'll be a woman beside you"
"Amen!"
Gbadamosi raised his hands.
"I'm suspecting people in this church, I decree that before the next Valentine, there'll already be a woman sitting by his side"
Amen!!
Deja's Amen was the loudest. Bimbo rolled her eyes, you better don't give yourself heart attack!
"I want to celebrate another person in the house" He paused blushing, "Look how I'm blushing already, I've not called her name and I'm blushing" He paused staring at Amazing who was fighting hard to hide her smile.
"She's blushing deep down"
Amazing laughed and the camera man projected it on the screen. "The woman behind this man, you know when God said it's not good for man to be alone, he create someone to complete me, she's my earthly support system, my life prayer partner, that one woman that gets me emotional every time, my wife Pastor Amazing Bamidele Jones"
Everyone clapped.
"I'm also here with my muse, I call her my muse, she's someone God is using in the music ministry, Estelle and my triplets, the Jones Triplet, any time you're having a shitty day, permit my use of language. Or if you feel like God isn't gracious, remember the God that gave my wife three beautiful children when they said there was only 10% chance of her getting pregnant. I don't know what that ten percent thing in your life in right time, the thing they say you can never achieve, I speak as a servant called by God, receive restoration"
Amen!!!
"With God, all things are ...."
Possible!!!
"I love the energy here!"
Bamidele shut his eyes, "Thank you Lord for this day, manifold blessings you have given us and we can't thank you enough. I ask that you speak through me and cause all eyes to be flooded with understanding. Amen"
Amen
"I'll be talking briefly on the right kind of relationship and Sustaining relationship, my wife will do a summary on that one, she's best at maintaining relationships, that's her field. You'll be surprised the kind of people she's still maintaning relationship with. What's the right kind of relationship?" He asked stepping down from the podium, "It's going to be interactive so.... What is it? I'm not here to use my relationship as a standard, what works for Brother A, might not work for Brother B. I'm only here to talk about Biblical standard of relationship. God bless the dance group for that demonstration. The right relationship is one that is built with God as it's foundation, one consecrated unto God, the one free from every form of immoralities, you don't like hearing it but I'll stress it still. By God's grace, my wife and I are two years in marriage, January made us two years and, it's not 20 years but our love has been a bed of roses because we made a covenant with God. It was a prophetic leading we made on our wedding night. It still feels like yesterday when we exchanged vows but the basics of our relationship was built on God, we helped each other grow and God used us, God spoke to us, this period of dating might be a period where God can be speaking to you expressly and telling you he's not the right one, but because you're both having sex and enjoying the whole throes of passion, you become blind spiritually."
A guy laughed and he nods, "Yes Sir, you understand what I'm saying shebi? You become blind and deaf to the speakings of God. It's called Holy matrimony, not unholy, call me old school, I accept. Sex is not going anywhere, you'll have the opportunity in marriage. Hei God! You feel much relaxed living in your own house than living in a rented apartment, why?"
Landlord!
Rent!
"Exactly, cause when the rent expires you know that man Is going to be knocking to get the next rent, i might be scared to even fart so that I don't get complains from neighbours but a house owned by you. I can blast the speaker anyhow I want, I can fart in peace" He added and everyone laughed.
"Married people, you understand the kind of speaker I mean right?" He joked and everyone laughed, "That's just on a lighter mode sha. You're grabbing all the grabbables in her and you know it's yours, why? Because you went through the legal, traditonal and Christian process to get her. My wife once called me a traditional husband"
Amazing laughed.
"Keep your relationship consecrated. Sex before marriage might work for some people of the world but we here, we are not of the world, we are God's creation, there's a DNA that has been infused into us to work in alignment into God's purpose but the devil has vowed to mess up our DNA, infecting us with all manner of diseases, making caricature and kwashiorkor of us. If only God can open you eyes to how, kwashiorkored some of us are in the spirit. Kai!" He paused shaking his head.
"The devil has been exchanging the wordly values that we should have in exchange with worldly value, WORLDLY, worldly" He paused, "Thank you Holyghost, there's someone here, two of you actually, you both came with a DNA to do mighty things and the devil saw it and distorted what should be cause he knew if he gives you the chance you'll make God proud. He took some people out of your life, people you love. He started to plant negative seeds in your life, seeds that makes you feel less of yourself, there are lots of depressed people in the house, people who feel they should be married by now but I'm being specific about these two. You both wanted committing suicide the same day"
Kilahi shut her eyes, trying hard to conceal her surprise.
"Just recently, I see one of you back to your old habit of smoking, stop it. The more you indulge the more you make the devil win"
Hilary shut her eyes in tears.
"I pray the Lord gives you strength and revelation"
Amen!!!!
"I see Ugly, UGLY, an ugly painting that was rejected, now put up for exhibition in an art gallery for all to see and there are people now admiring it, wanting to buy it. He's making that ugly situation beautiful"
Kilahi felt her hands tremble, she exhaled shutting her eyes.
"He's saying you're not ugly, I made you beautiful and you'll see soon enough. Rise up and do what you're meant to do!" He paused, " Where was i? Yes! So real dating according to Christian Standard is you getting to know all about the sister and brother's character not how good he or she is in bed, or how good he uses his machine gun" He paused and everyone laughed.
"As funny as it is, it's not all about how he uses the gbola. I know you're going to ask, what if the sister or brother Is pretending, what if he's character is perfect but he can't satisfy me in bed. Open to the book of Ephesians 5 verse 6 to 10. Abi you guys didn't bible because it's valentine's night"
Chuckles broke out.
"Are the publicity guys ready for us?" He asked turning towards the screen, "Yes. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Precious, Nkechi, Ruth, Rebecca, have you heard? Don't let Bolaji deceive you, don't let what?"
Bolaji deceive you!
"It's you oh, say you"
You! Everyone replied laughing.
Bamidele walked up to Gbadamosi, "We might have to conduct deliverance, i think everyone in this room is a suspect. Look at your neighbour and tell him, don't let Bolaji decieve you, if it's a guy, tell him, don't let Nkechi decieve you"
This went on for about three minutes as the whole room busted in laughter.
"What's Nkechi?" Sam asked laughing, "It's a name, why are you laughing when you don't understand?" Sewuese asked and he shrugged, "Well... I won't want to dull myself"
She widened her eyes in surprise, "Oyinbo, how long have you been in Lagos?"
"Verse 7," Bamidele continued, "Therefore do not become partners with them; for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. He has given us power to discern, that's one of the awesome super power we have in Christ. How many of us have gotten into buses, Keke or motorcycle and the spirit of God instructed you to come down and you did?" He asked and a lot of hands were in the air.
"Some people have never entered buses and Keke sha... Awon rich kids" He chipped and the whole congregation chuckled.
"If you have the ability to discern that the bus you're in is not safe, what stops God from giving you signals that the relationship you're in is not it? Then in marriage, you end up blaming God meanwhile He has been giving signals, he gives you warning, he tries to open our eyes but some of us are too blind in love to see his signals. Proverbs 3 says, Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Verse 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. My dear singles in the Lord, the only reason you'll fall into a wrong marriage after this meeting cause I know that some wonderful isrealites will still not listen"
Chuckles broke out again.
"The only reason you'll fall Is because you loved the man with all your heart and leaned on your own and his own understanding, God took his hands off and allowed you and the man direct the affairs of your life. When you see some marriage crumbling, there must have be red flags and signals from God. Also, this one just dropped in my spirit, thank you Lord, the only reason why a marriage that has been ordained by God will wreck is because both spouse decided to lean on their fleshy understanding and not the things of the spirit" He broke into tongues laughing.
"Don't underestimate the place of the Holyspirit,"
Gbadamosi lifted his hands, "Yes Sir!"
"He cares about every aspect of you, even in your relationship, the book of James tells us, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. You want wisdom about what to do when things want to get out of hand, he's there to tell you. The reason why you cheat, is becomes you rely too much on fleshy wisdom. The reason why you fix your eyes on other women is because you didn't die to flesh when you needed to, you only fainted." He paused chuckling to himself.
"If you're here and you still cheat on your wife" Bamidele laughed, "God is showing me a lot right now, I don't want to talk" He said staring at a man who was already nervous.
"Calm down guys, I'm not going to point to any one in particular. I don't operate that way. Repent, if you know you're cheating, both ways, men and women, repent. I'm an evangelist so I stand to preach repentance wherever I go to. No woman is fairer than my wife, no woman is blacker than my wife, no woman is sexier than my wife, if you have to drink this word like a confession everyday, you'll see it come through. Even if a hot woman comes to seduce you, you'll find yourself standing firm on this confession because what you confess becomes reality. That's the power of confession when added with faith, she might not be the prettiest but by faith and power of your confession, she becomes pretty. Words carry power. Even if the woman has lost her shape because of child birth, screw it! She's still the same woman you said yes to, for better for worse, just because she was going through post natal stress should never, i repeat, should never give you a reason to cheat. 'She wasn't giving me attention that was why I cheated' Oga give her attention too, shower her with love. Giving birth to a whole human being isn't easy, my wife gave birth to three and I was in the labour room scared as hell, not because I was scared that God won't come through for us but because of the pain she was going through that moment. I was also traumatize myself so if she ends up having post natal trauma, it's a period to love and respect her more" He paused and every woman in the room roared in joy, rising up to applaud him.
"See! the way to woman's heart is giving them credit for any good thing they do. Guys that I've not married, I hope you're taking notes. Your wife Is not a maid, assist her with house chores when you get the chance to. They are fragile and complicated species so you have to use wisdom to handle them so they don't break and women too...." He paused giving a frustrated look.
"Help your men, be vigilant because most time the devil usually passes through the little things to ruin marriages. Don't push them away cause the devil doesn't rest so you have to build your marriage on a solid foundation which is God's word. For the singles, It starts now. If you're having Marital issues, God said he's handling it now, he's dishing out wisdom to handle it."
"Amen!!!"
A woman broke out in tears and he nods.
"Everyone keeps celebrating Valentine's day with their spouse but you wear a thick skin and pretend everything is alright. The enemy have crawled in, I hear restoration"
Amen!!!
"After tonight, he'll come back and everyday from now will feel like Valentine's day"
Amen!!!
"I see wedding dresses, congratulations to some ladies, angels are handing to you keys to your home."
Amen!!!!
"Ancestral barriers are falling off, they say you're not going to get married, you've been waiting and it's almost as though no one is looking at you anymore. Well, sorry to disappoint the enemies, I stand on the God that I serve, the God of this altar and I say the Chains are broken"
Amen!!!
He exhaled chuckling to himself, "When Pastor Gbadamosi said this meeting was a divine arrangement, he wasn't joking. God is saying weddings are coming from here!"
Amen!!!! Single ladies rose up raising their hands up except Kilahi.
"Some of the boyfriends you invited to this programme will be looking at you now and will be saying, marriage for where? Who will get married to this one? Guy, if you know your relationship with a man and woman is not tending to marriage, don't deceive the lady or the man. God is dishing out spirit of discernment right now, some wasteful relationship will end tonight. You might hate me for this but you'll thank me in future. You know you're in a right relationship when God is the one leading the way, I remember this day God told me to go to a church different from my church, I went over to my wife's house, we were not married then, i told her and she told me God already instructed her that she will be following me that day. We were two couples moving towards God on the same frequency, the same passion. If you want to know the right kind of relationship, it's the one moving towards the same frequency as you, the same drive, the same purpose. They say purpose when not known ... abuse Is inevitable, when the purpose of your relationship has not been establish, there's a high chance of it sinking. Is he or she in line with God's purpose?" He paused again, "There's no time so.... On how to sustain relationship, very quickly, with a standing ovation, you can sit if you like, just kidding. Can we just call on my beautiful wife, AmazingGrace Bamidele Jones to anchor this session, then we'll handle your questions and pray together"
A congregation of an applause and Amazing walked up to the podium and then he handed the microphone to her, "Good evening everyone"
"Good evening "
"Before I continue, while my husband was giving the message, my spirit was disturbed. God dropped a message, this isn't a deliverance meeting but I saw ladies in the shackle of bondage, bondage of the mind, sin. And he dropped the scripture of Judges 4 played in my heart. I was fighting back, telling God it's not a Sunday service but there's no meeting place that God can't move. God is raising Deborahs here tonight, women that will stand and be judge over their family and territory, and the characteristic of a good judge is the ability to discern good from bad, my husband wasn't wrong when he said some relationships will break tonight. God is dishing out the spirit right now, receive it!" She screamed and a few ladies fell on the floor.
Ade rolled his eyes walking away and Deja glared at him. "I'll get wrappers" He mouthed.
Ushers were everywhere now looking for wrappers to cover the revealing cleavages and legs of those ladies including Hilary.
Kilahi shut her eyes trembling and fighting off the burning feeling in her entire body. Manny glanced at her.
Amazing laughed staring at her, "Ushers help that woman sitting on red gown and white head band. Something is coming on her. I hear the Lord say that spirit that came upon Bamidele Jones that faithful day" She faced Bamidele who laughed on remembering it, "That spirit Is coming on you, it's coming! He's restoring lost spiritual gifts" She snapped her fingers and Kilahi pushed her chair backwards while Deja held her but she pushed her covering her ears and screaming.
Gbadamosi rose up nodding and praying while staring at her.
