Life has been great. I could not help smiling despite my facial muscles begging for a break. God has been good to me and I felt blessed. I checked the time only to see that it was 7am. That means that it is time for me to go get Kapinga. I could not wait to see the look of surprise on her face when I showed her what I had planned for us today.

When I arrived at the school, I headed straight for her dorm like a man on a mission. I had a girl's heart to win. Well, actually I had already won her heart it seems but I wanted to do it right this time around. I then knocked thrice onto her door. I then realised that I had not told her what to wear for my surprise yesterday. It was not my fault really. I could not help but get lost into Kapinga. It was bluntly terrifying how much power she had on me. But also very very addictive.

Slowly, the door creaked open and out came Kapinga looking extremely annoyed. As soon as she saw my smile, she scrowled in return. "Why on this good earth would you come to my room at 8am on a Saturday?" she asked unamused. I on the other hand could not help but smile. Even annoyed this girl was still a captivating sight. "Well, I told you last night that I had a surprise for you at 8am before I left." I answered. I did tell her did I not.

"What is the surprise then, I would like to go back to my bed as soon as possible," She said and started to look around me for this surprise.

"The surprise is not here. We have to go to the surprise I replied coolly. And I did say wear pants and you are wearing a dress," I answered. Of course the wearing pants was a ruse since I did forget to say that while I was busy nibbling on her skin. I must admit it soon had become one of my favourtie things to do. Not to mention that fact that Kapinag had quite an expressive face. And I loved making her all flustered up. If only I could do it without actually getting lost in her.

Kapinga opened her mouth, and then closed it. She then opened it again only to close it. Damn it she looked so cute. Involuntarily, I leaned in towards her and she stiffened. I swear a log of wood had nothing to how upright and frozen she was right now. So, I decided to have a little fun. Now, I was not planning on actually kissing Kapinga. But she did not have to know this now did she. I gently placed my hands onto her waist and pulled her closer to me. So close that I could feel every curve of her body on me.

I then looked down at her only to see that she had her head looking down. How humours. So, I slowly raised her head and kept my gaze transfixed on her. When her eyes landed on mine, I suddenly forget what I wanted to do. There was so much emotions brewing inside her brown globes that suddenly my precious brain decided to take a much needed break from functioning. And then Kapinga did something I would never have guessed she could have done.

She stepped up her tippy little toes and kissed me on the lips. Now it was not one of those soft kisses. She kissed me as if she had been on a three day fast and was finally able to have a meal. I was so shocked by this fact that I did not kiss her back. And before I could even react, she stopped and immediately rushed into her room and locked the door.

Stunned, I actually had to feel my lips to believe that this just happened. This was my first time being kissed by a girl ever. This was also the first time that I kissed, well was kissed by a girl who I actually liked. This I know because I was not drunk at all. Normally, when I kissed girls, I always had some alcohol in my system. See, I never liked kissing very much. Never saw why people liked having their lips moulded onto each other and sharing saliva. So this was a definite first for me.

I was jerked from my thoughts when I heard Kapinga's door open. And out came Kapinga dressed in a pair of trousers with her hair all tied up. She had one hand raised up and said, "Stop," I had never taken a command from anyone before. Well, besides my dad that is and maybe some of the elders. But I had never taken a command from a woman before alright. Yet, one look at Kapinga told me to shut my mouth if I wished to still breathe.

"You came to pick me up at 8am. Knocked on my door thrice and waited. After a few moments, I came out dressed in pants ready to go. That is how this day went. Anything else you feel or think had transpired did not. Understood?" Kapinga said with a voice so stoic and void of emotion that it reminded me of my father.

"What If I do not?" I challenged and moved forward. Kapinga this time did not move back, or got stiff. Instead, she remained stoic and said, "Well, I will go back into this room and lock it. That will be the end of this friendship," She said. I looked at her and saw that she was most certainly serious. So, in hopes of not having Kapinga cancel me out of her life and because of time (I did gave a surprise for her) I simply nodded in agreement.

"Well then let us get going to this surprise then," Kapinga said and started to walk ahead of me. "You know that only I know where this surprise is right?' I asked amused at this game we were now playing.

"Then stop talking and lead the way. I already got up at 8am on a Saturday so this better be good." Kapinga muttered.
