Banished
She had walked along the halls, passing the corridor where Regulus showed her the room with the Siren Song. She always slowed her pace to listen out for the voice again, she needed to find out what it was. She could get away with lurking around there, she wouldn't be put under its spell, that didn't mean she wanted any wizards following her, and falling victim to its song.
She lingered around the corridor a little, listening closely, nothing not a sound could be heard. Tamara felt an eerie presence around the corridor, somehow it had managed to be concealed from the many witches and wizards of Hogwarts. She wondered if any professors knew of the corridor, then again why would they allow it to still exist?
When she had lingered for too long she made her way to the Great Hall. She smiled at the school's headmaster, she sighed when he gestured for her to come to him. She quickly glanced around in case he was referring to someone else.
"Is everyone okay? Professor,"
"Yes, yes, nothing wrong, I received a letter confirming that you have permission to go to Hogsmead, as well as to give you this," he handed her a letter, as he went about his day, she looked around her, eyeing a bench.
As she sat down, she questioned who could be writing to her, she doubted her uncle would, he trusted her to tell him everything, even if he wouldn't like it. She sat down to read the contents of the letter, she flicked her eyes up, in case anyone was around.
Dear Tamara,
I was surprised to hear of your latest adventure on land. You're taking a big risk aren't you, socialising with wizards. Not that I could talk. I was just like you, I assume your father isn't aware, he never did approve of wizardkind. I'd love for you to come and see me, then we could have a proper talk.
I made arrangements for you to come to Hogsmead, there were could catch up, to be completely honest with you I didn't know you had turned sixteen, I was still picturing you as the seven-year-old. Amazing how much time has flown by, I'll be there this weekend, if free it would be great to see you.
From Caspian.
She smiled to her happy that her uncle managed to contact her cousin. It truly had been a long time since she had seen him, the elders had banished him when he saw life on land better than life in the water. She questioned whether she would recognise him, it had been too long indeed.

When the weekend arrived, in the few days before she watched as the students walked to Hogsmead. Hoping it wouldn't be too difficult to navigate her way to the wizarding village, without the assistance of Regulus, she didn't want him to know she had contacted her cousin.
As she made her way through the fields along a pathway that lead to the old village. As she neared Hogsmead, she smiled at the wizard folk that resided in the village. A family with two small two ran towards a staged performance, of an old wizarding tale.
She looked around as she sensed another of her kind, somewhere was her cousin. She listened out for him, only as the feeling grew more intense did she spot him. She hesitate, he looked different, his hair was a dark brown, nothing like the pine green hair she had always known his hair to be.
"You look so different,"
"If I wanted to fit in I needed to change," he explained, she understood they were very different as it is, he leaned in and whispered, "Somethings haven't changed," he pointed towards a man holding a bucket of water, the water bubbled, spooking the wizard.
"Still mischievous I see," she commented, he chuckled, draping his arm over her shoulder.
"It's good to see you, Tami," he wrapped her in a tight hug, "so what's got you coming on land?"
"A boy,"
"Uncle Orys doesn't know then,"
"No, I remember he shunned you-
"The best thing that ever happened, if he didn't I would have never got to marry my darling wife and I wouldn't have my two beautiful daughters,"
"I forgot you had children," she creased her brows, "are they like us?"
"Yes, they're witches like their mother, and possess siren qualities like myself," she smiled as he proudly spoke of his daughters, there was hope for her to have a life on land.
"Which qualities?"
"Ability to breath underwater, able to turn their limbs into fins, and they can sing enchantingly, as for reading minds, that's to be discovered, you should come and meet them sometime,"
"I'd love to, it's just there's something in the school,"
"Ahh, my father mentioned that, you told him you didn't see anything," she nodded,
"I was wondering if you could possibly go with me to investigate it,"
"It would have to be under the cover of night,"
"Okay, what do you think it is?"
"I have a theory but I couldn't say for sure until I heard for myself,"
She spent the rest of her day with him, hearing about his wife and daughters. She hoped that one day she could see them for herself. Caspian was clearly proud of Rebecca and their daughters, she wondered if her uncle had met his granddaughters.
Though she was most curious to know how he managed to keep all the things that came with being a siren. Her uncle told her she would eventually become more human the more time she spent time out of the water, if she learn his secret to life on land there was nothing stopping her from stay on land forever.
