I woke up by my ass vibrating.

I sat up on the couch and took the phone out of my pocket.

"Hello, Maddie." A failed impressioned Batman voice said.
"Hello?" I said rolling my eyes with a sigh.
"I know you have it. I must tell you that I have a special set of skills and I will find you. And I will..."

"Fulfill your destiny as Liam Neeson, Merlin?"
"Are you serious? How did you know?"

"Caller ID?"

"Fine", Merlin chuckled. "Open your door".

Hanging up I walked over too the door; unlocking it and turning the nob.
A full on smile was plastered on to his face. As he embraced me into a
Bone crushing bear hug.

"Merlin... Can't breath..."
"OH sorry, you okay?"
"Think so" I chuckled and pulled him in to another hug.

It was nice to see Merlin again, I hadn't seen him after the funeral.
Things got pretty hard after what had happened, but Merlin was always there when needed, and I always appreciated that.

"So what's all the hugs for?"
"Madeleine, I need you help over at my office."

"No."

"Please." 

You know I can't bare to be there. Not after..."
"Look I understand how hard this is, but I think it would be good for you. You need to face it sometime."

I glared at him intensely, showing my disliking to the proposal. He gazed at me, showing that we both knew he was right.

"Fine."

Yes, yes. I know, it has been an ACTUAL YEAR since I've been writing.  But ffs I'm going to devote my entire summer (because I honestly don't have much of a life anyway) to writing. Well, toodles.
