'Misaki! Come down for some breakfast, dear!' My Mother called. I huffed and dragged myself out of bed.

'Just let me get ready!' I called back. Quickly I rummaged down my closet and pulled out my usual outfit, my three-quarter length black pants, a tank top and a short sleeved fleece both my tank top and my fleece cut off just below my flat chest, showing off my bandaged stomach. I fixed my sweat bands on both wrists and combed my brown hair through. My red eyes seemed to glow slightly but slowly, they went darker as I moved into the lighter part of my room. I picked up a small butterfly clip and slid it into my hair, smiling to myself.

That butterfly clip was a gift, and a symbol of my friendship with someone, someone so special that I would've taken a kunai through the heart for him. My best friend, from my old home, back in the Village Hidden in the Leaves...his name was Choji.

My smile faded as I thought back to our promises that we'd made each other back when we were only young, those seven years ago...

He'd said that he'd never forget me, but I'm not so sure if he'd kept it. But that was my fault, I should've written or something but when we moved to the Land of Waves, my life became so much more busier. My Father made famous weapons, and he sold his weapons to ninja all over the world, so that's why we moved. My Mother on the other hand, owned her own ramen restaurant which had been moved to the Land of Waves, in the hope of better buisness. As for me, I was sent off to a ninja academy nearby, but it was nothing like back at the Leaf. I'd never fitted in here, and it was a relief to have finally graduated, but I made no further progress in my ninja training. They'd not put me into a squad or anything. My parents didn't find it strange at all...

I trudged downstairs, sighing. My parents greeted me with a warm smile as I entered the kitchen.

'Morning Misaki!' My Father grinned, putting down the paper. I grinned back and sat down opposite him. My Mother placed my breakfast in front of me and sat next to my Father, who'd now put down his paper. The both watched me, a smile on their faces.

'Mom, Dad, are you guys okay?' I asked. My Mother reached across the table and took my hands in hers.

'Well honey, actually, we have some news for you,' she said, nervously glancing around. My spine tingled and I bit my lip. News? What kind of news?

'Yeeaaahhh?' I said slowly. My parents glanced at each other.

'Well you see dear,' she said, playing with her black wavy hair, her red eyes glowing too. 'Your Father's work is moving again...'

My heart fell.

'This time, it's moving too far, so your Father and I have talked and talked but finally, we've come to a decision. Misaki, we're not taking you with us this time. All we ever seem to do is move from place to place and we know that it's not fair on you so, we're going to send you back to Konohagakure...' She stopped. My eyes widened and I blinked at them.

'What?' I asked, in disbelief.

'Yeah, that's right Misaki, you're going back to live in Konoha,' Dad said slowly. I didn't know if they were joking or not.

'I'm going home? B-But, how?' I asked standing up.

'I've heard from my sister, she's happy to have you go stay with her Misaki,' Mom smiled weakly.

'Auntie Kurenai? Really?! Oh wow!' I squealed jumping up and down. Mom nodded. Dad smiled. I kept jumping up and down like some hyper bunny.

'So I get to go and live with Auntie Kurenai, see all my friends and...Choji!?' I exclaimed. They nodded.

'Yeah! Whop! So when do you guys move?' I asked.

'Well, we've got to be on the road by Tuesday, so you're to be leaving this evening, dear,' Dad said, picking up the paper again.

'I'm going to pack!' I squealed, running up to my room. I burst in and grabbed my things, first packing my clothes and then my things. I picked up a photo frame which had a photo of Choji and me, sharing a bag of our favorite potato chips in the world. I wrapped it in some cloth and packed it away safely. Mom came up to help me finish packing and before long it was nearly time for me to leave.

Dad loaded the wooden cart with all my things, which really wasn't very much, just two suitcases full of clothes and precious items and ninja gear. Dad payed the cart driver and told him where to take me and gave him instructions about what do to when we reached Konoha. Everything was fine then, but then it was time to say goodbye.

I hugged my Mom tight and sobbed into her chest, telling her that I'd see her soon. Then I hugged Dad.

'You'll be a splendid ninja, Misaki,' he smiled through his tears. I handed him a tissue and wiped away my own with my sleeve.

Finally, as I mounted the cart, he stopped me.

'Wait a second kiddo,' he said.

'Yes Dad?'

'Your Mother and I want you to have these,' he said handing me two sheared katana's. My eyes widened and I took them in my hands, staring in awe. I have my parents one last glomp before the cart began moving towards the setting sun, towards my old home, my birthplace, my friends and Auntie Kurenai, and most important......Choji.
