AN: Hey guys wanted to get an update out before midterms. Thank you all so much for 50k❤️! It's still crazy to me because I remember when like no one would read my stuff 😂. Arielle's POV:

I was currently in my room with Jaylin, getting ready for prom. I had already straightened my hair so all that was left was my make-up and she was  doing my make-up. I know I could've just hired a professional to do it, but Jaylin was pretty good at it and she begged me to let her do it, so I thought, why not.

She pulled out some lipstick and applied it to my lips and said "Done." I looked into the mirror and couldn't believe that the person in the mirror was me.

"Wow. When you offered to do my makeup, I thought you were gonna make me look like a clown, but really are good." I said jokingly.

"Thank you so much Ari, I'm glad you had so much faith in me." Jaylin said rolling her eyes.
"Well, I think we're done." I said getting up from the chair and heading downstairs where Simon and Jaylin's date were waiting for us.

I had ask Jaylin before who her date was but she refused to tell me saying that it was a "surprise" of some sort. 

We headed downstairs and there I saw Simon but no sign of Jaylin's date. Simon looked pretty good, he had asked me beforehand what color was my dress so that we could match. Yes, he was one of those people.

Arielle's dress:

My mom wanted to take pictures and all that until someone knocked on the front door.
"I'll go get it." My mom said.
When she came back I was shocked by who she was with.
"Kevin!" Jaylin yelled and went to hug him.
I couldn't help but look at them with my mouth hung wide open.

Kevin was Jaylin's crush since freshman year. She never tried to speak to him because he had an extremely possessive girlfriend, and as far as I know he still has that same girlfriend.

I walked over to where they were and tapped Kevin on the shoulder. He turned around and said "Oh hey Arielle."
"Yea, um, hi. I don't mean to be rude or anything but don't you have like...a girlfriend?"
"Arielle." Jaylin said glaring at me and hit me on the shoulder .
"No it's fine Jay. I broke up with her a few days ago." He said flashing me a smile.
"Alright." I mumbled to myself.

After my mom finished taking pictures of us now including Kevin we headed to the building where prom was being held.
When we arrived they had a fancy red carpet where the couples walked down while the people from the photography club took pictures.

Once we were all seated I looked around the room. It was huge and had nice decorations. In the background they were playing some song that I had no idea of.

My eyes couldn't help but try to find Jennifer and after a few minutes of searching I found her.
She was in the back corner and she looked gorgeous. She had on a tight black dress that showed off her curves pretty well and hand her hair in deep curls. She was talking to another teacher whom I didn't know the name of. She was laughing and something that he said and playfully hit his shoulder. I wanted to walk over to her and kiss her right in front of his face and say "back off she's mine." I knew I couldn't. I don't think she knew I was looking at her.

"Arielle." I heard someone say.
"Huh?" I said looking in the direction where the voice came from. It was Simon.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"Yea I'm fine why wouldn't I be?" I asked him while sipping the water that they gave us.
"It's just that you seem out of it." He said and frowned. "Like you don't want to be here." He added
"No I want to be here with you Simon trust me." I said then gave him a smile.

From the corner of my eye I could see that Jennifer was looking at us but I refused to look at her. I owed it to Simon to try and have a good time with him, It wouldn't be fair if I just kept looking at Jennifer the whole night, wishing I was with her.

After a while a waiter of some sort came to our table and gave us menus.
"Oh fancy." Jaylin said.
We waited for a while and the waiter finally brought us our food.

"Hey Arielle." Simon said.
"What?" I asked and looked at him. He looked downward and I followed his gaze. He had a flask hiding in his suit pocket.
"Want some?" He asked. I looked at Jennifer and realized that if I wanted to enjoy this night without thinking about Jennifer then I'm gonna have to have some alcohol.
"Sure." I said and took it from him and took a swig.
After I was done I handed it to him and said "Thanks."

The alcohol was starting to get to me and got me all touchy with Simon. Almost the whole entire night I felt eyes on me and I knew exactly whose they were.

Soon the DJ started to play slow dancing songs so I got up and danced with Simon. I accidentally looked around and met Jennifer's gaze, she was just looking at me with a sad face. I gave her a questioning look but she just broke eye contact with me.

After the dance I went to the teacher that was talking to Jennifer and asked as nicely as I could "Excuse me sir, do you know where Ms.Murphy went?" and flashed him a smile.
"Sorry she went home," he said and then looked at me from head to toe and continued to stare at my breasts. I cleared my throat.

I really don't like this guy. I thought to myself.

He looked up and said "Why do you ask?"
"None of your business." I said then walked away.
I couldn't help but worry about Jennifer.

Is she okay?
