Jealousy
AN: Hey guys, thank you all so much for 70k reads it means so much to me!🖤. Told you guys imma start releasing new chapters sooner. Sorry that this chapter may be a little bit short but the next chapter is longer I promise. This chapter and the next chapter were initially one whole chapter but it was WAY too long so I decided to split it in two. So even though the chapters have 2 different titles, the next is the continuation of this one. Since this is so short I'll probably put another chapter a little later. If you guys find any errors in this chapter please be sure to tell me so I can fix them. Also, if you guys have anything to say about the book or in general feel free to message me or drop a comment. Don't forget to vote!
Jennifer's POV:
It's been 2 days since Arielle and I had our little argument. In these days I've realized that I was being stupid for getting mad at Arielle for telling her sister, that probably now thinks Arielle had sex with Simon, that he gave her a hickey. She was right, she couldn't exactly outright tell her sister it was me who did it, and I've been wanting to talk to her to apologize but I never get the chance. Whenever I tell her to stay after class she makes up some excuse as a reason not to, and when I call her she doesn't pick up, and when I text her she doesn't respond. I don't know about her but I'm honestly losing my mind not talking to her.
I was currently in my classroom, thinking of ways to talk to Arielle today, because if I don't talk to her soon I'm going to go insane. It was 3rd period, which meant that I have a free, and it also meant that I had to think of a way to talk to Arielle soon.
So I sat there in my chair, brainstorming for about 20 minutes of ways to talk to Arielle, but could not think of a single way. The bell pulled me out of my brainstorming as I stood up and I took a deep breath.
I guess I'll have to wing it. I thought to myself.
I headed to my classroom door, opened it and stood outside, watching the kids come into the classroom. Soon I heard loud laughter and I turned in the direction that it was coming from. I saw Paige and Arielle walking together, arms linked. I couldn't help but get slightly irritated at the sight. Here I am busting my ass off to think of ways to talk to her because it's literally driving me crazy and she's over here acting like she doesn't have a care in the world.
Soon Arielle's eyes landed on mine and we keep our gaze for what felt like eternity, but then she averted her gaze but the Paige.
They walked past me and Paige said "Hi Ms.Murphy."
"Hi Paige" I said not even trying to hide the venom in my voice. Hearing this Arielle shot me a quick look but then walked right past me and to her seat with Paige.
——————————————————————————
It was 15 minutes into class and all I could focus on was Arielle talking to Paige. I had given the class an independent reading assignment but obviously they weren't doing it. I was okay with them whispering to each other and then I lost it.
"Arielle why are you talking?" I asked in my stern teacher voice.
"I was asking Paige for help." She answered, rolling her eyes. I looked at her one last time and then addresses the class "Everyone stand up and stand at the back of the classroom there is gonna to be a seat change."
Everyone stood up, groaning, but doing what I asked of them. One of my students spoke up and said "Why do we all have to move just because of Arielle."
"What are you talking about how is this my fault?" Arielle asked the girl.
"Because you were talking to your little girlfriend and got Ms.Murphy angry." The girl said.
Girlfriend.
"Enough! Both of you," I said to Arielle and the girl.
"this isn't anyone's fault I'm just seating you guys in alphabetical order so it's easier for me to do attendance." I said looking at the girl but addressing the whole class.
That was a lie, and judging by Arielle's face she knew that was a lie too.
Does she know the real reason why I'm doing this? I asked myself.
And so, I started to seat them alphabetically and first person on my attendance sheet, "Arielle Agostinelli." I said pointing to the first seat in the first row that just so happened to be right in front of my desk.
I looked over at Arielle and saw her sigh and walked towards her new seat and plopped down.
This was a great idea.
