Heaven To Hell
P.S. This chapter contains sensitive material.
Arielle's POV:
"Mason what the hell are you doing?" I asked him, staring at the gun he had pointed at Jennifer.
"I already told you to stop seeing her Ella, but you didn't want to listen. I thought I could trust you to make the right decision, but clearly I couldn't, so I decided to take matters into my own hands."
"Mason put the gun down now." I said to him walking over to him slowly.
"Take one more step and I'll shot her Ella." He said.
I stopped as soon as he said that and looked over at Jennifer and saw that she was extremely pale, as if she had seen a ghost. She was just standing there. I couldn't even see if she was breathing or not.
"Jennifer?" I called out to her.
She turned to me and looked me in my eyes, and I saw pure fear.
"Mason, leave her alone. This is our problem, she's not involved in it."
"She became involved once you guys started dating." he said clenching his teeth.
"What do you want Mason?" I asked.
"Come with me. We'll move somewhere and start new." he said.
"If I do will you promise to never hurt Jennifer, or anyone I care about?" I asked him.
"Of course."
I went silent after that. I knew Mason and one thing he didn't do was lie, so I knew I had his word to not hurt anyone I care about. But to leave with him, that wouldn't only be leaving Jennifer behind, I would be leaving my friends and family behind too. It would be restarting my life.
Could I really do that? I asked myself.
I then looked over at Jennifer and realized that I could do all those things because I would be doing them for her, and she meant an awful lot to me.
"Fine, I'll do it." I said to him.
This seemed to have gotten Jennifer out of her fearful state because her head quickly to turned to me. "Arielle what are you talking about?" she asked me.
I ignored her and said "Put the gun down Mason, I'm going to go with you." I said to him.
I started to walk over to him but then I felt a hand grab my hand. I looked behind me and saw Jennifer with tears in her eyes. "Arielle you can't go." she said.
"Let go of me Jennifer." I said to her.
"No, I'm not letting you go with him." she said and pulled me behind her.
"I love you." she said to me before she turned to face Mason.
"I'm sick of you trying to take Arielle away from me." She said and started to charge towards him.
Everything from that point on seemed to go in slow motion.

Jennifer's POV:
"I'm sick of you trying to take Arielle away from me." I said to him and charged at him to try and get the gun out of his hands.
Soon a gun shot sounded in the air. And I touched my chest, and felt I saw that I had no blood. But then I looked up and saw that Arielle was in front of me.
Please don't tell me...
"Arielle?" I questioned.
She slowly turned around and I saw that she had a blood stain on her light pink tank top.
"Arielle no!" I yelled and took her in my arms and laid her down on the floor.
I looked up at Mason and saw that he was in shock. He soon bolted out of my apartment. I would've chased after him but Arielle was way more important. I ran over to my phone and called 911, after I was finished I ran back to Arielle side.
"Arielle stay with me!" I yelled.
She coughed up a little blood. "Jennifer..." she said, her voice a little raspy.
"Arielle please, you can't... I can't lose you, not again." I said not stopping the tears from falling.
I took off my flannel shirt and pressed it on her wound, to try and help the bleeding, but by this point she was lying in a pool of her own blood, and the flannel was soaked in her blood.
"Please Arielle, I love you, you can't leave me...not like this." I said to her.
She smiled up at me, probably to weak to actually try to speak, her skin had lost most of its color and her breathing had slowed, and soon she closed her eyes.
A couple minutes later the ambulance came and took her on a stretcher.
"Can I ride with her?" I asked one of them. He nodded his head and allowed to to ride with Arielle.
For the whole ride I was holding Arielle's hand, but she wasn't gripping back.
I couldn't help to think about things turned from what seemed like heaven to hell in a matter of minutes.
