Arielle's POV:

"OMG! She finally asked you to be her girlfriend!" Jaylin said barely able to contain her excitement.

We were in 5th period, Jaylin had noticed the necklace this morning and said that we were going to talk about it soon.

But when she said soon I didn't mean this soon.

"Can you please keep your voice down." I said looking around the classroom to make sure no one was listening in on our conversation. But when I looked around I made eye contact with Ms.Rose but immediately looked away.

I hope she didn't hear that. I thought to myself.

But then I realized that I needed her to hear that so that she knew I was off limits officially, and that what we had, whatever it was meant nothing.

"Don't worry no one's listening." She said.

We talked about random things until the end of the period.

When the bell rang I decided to stay behind to to talk to Ms.Rose.

As soon as the last student left the classroom I went over to Ms.Rose's desk.

"Yes Arielle?" She asked eyeing the necklace.

"Uh, hi Ms.Rose I wanted to talk to you about something." I said.

"What is it?"

"I'm dating Jennifer, officially... so whatever happened between us or whatever there was between us is over. I'm sorry." I said to her looking down because I wouldn't be able to look at her.

"Arielle..." she trailed off and sighed. "So I'm guessing she's the one that brought you that necklace.

I nodded and she said "Just don't get hurt. Please?"

"I won't, thank you Ms.Rose."

She flashed me a small smile and I left the classroom.

It was currently my free period and I decided to go to Mrs.Dixson's office. I already told Ms.Rose I was in a relationship, now I just need to tell her.

I was standing outside her door and was honestly to nervous to knock.

Just when I had finally built up the courage to knock, the door opened and I had to stop my fist before I connected with the person's face.

"Were you trying to punch me?" Mrs.Dixson asked.

"Uh uhm sorry Miss, can I please talk to you?"

She smirked a little and opened the door and said "Sure, be my guest."

I went inside and sat in one of the chairs in front of her desk. She sat on the chair behind her desk.

I didn't know what to say so I started playing with my hands.

I heard her clear her throat so I looked up and she raised an eyebrow at me expectantly, waiting for me to say something.

"Uh, I'm in a relationship." I rushed out.

She didn't say anything so I looked up and saw that she was just looking at me with a blank look on her face.

"So, whatever we had, it can't go on anymore. I'm sorry." I said and stood up.

She didn't say anything to me so I just left the room.

It was 5 o'clock and I was in Starbucks.

I was waiting for Emily, to finally cut things off with her. I was honestly exhausted but I knew that if I didn't do it now, I wouldn't want to do it ever.

She finally walked in and headed over to me with a smile on her face.

"I was wondering when you were gonna reach out to me, it's been a while."

We ordered and we went back to the table.

"Was there anything in particular you wanted to talk about?" she asked.

"Uhm yea... I'm in a relationship." I said, ripping the band-aid off.

"Oh..." she said, and it looked like tears were forming in her eyes.

"I'm really sorry Emily, I never meant to lead you on... can we still be friends?" I asked.

Even though I didn't like Emily in that way, I did enjoy her company and she was actually a really cool person.

She nodded her head slowly and said "Sure."

Realizing it was getting late, I gave her a hug bye and headed home.

Once my body hit the bed, it was then that I realized it felt like I had a weight on, but now, it was gone and in a way I felt lighter.
