Though it was the weekend, I couldn't sleep in. I felt like I was up all night and it was something unusual. I always sleep until lunch time during weekend unless my loving grandma decides to make a grand entrance.

While making a bowl of cereals for myself, still half yawning, I dialed Ellen's number secretly wandering what she was up to this weekend. See! i'm kind of good at multi-tasking. She picked up the phone on the first ring and i could imagine her astonished look to see me calling her on a weekend morning.

"Woah my dear Sleeping Beauty, fancy to see you up on Saturday morning." She said in a sarcastic tone and i just rolled my eyes.

"Well, my Prince Charming, i couldn't sleep", i could hear her chuckling on the other side and added, "What are your plans for today?"

For some reason she took a deep long breathe and i unconsciously went "uh-oh". She's up to something troublesome and knowing her, i can pretty much imagine what she is planning to do.

"Well?"

"I'm going to the hospital to see them." She said in one go and i knew she expected some kind of a reaction from me.

I shook my head and added,

"Just be careful ok?" I'm worried she would get herself into something and get into trouble.

"Yes mom. But, as you are up already, care to join me?"

I wanted to tell her those bunch meant trouble and getting involved won't be a good thing. But I kept that part to myself.

"I'm good Ellen. You go."

I rarely say 'no' to my best friend because she's like my twin sister and I don't trust her to do anything by herself though i know very well more than anyone that she's capable of taking care of herself. You know that feeling when your gut tells you not to do something? That's just how i feel right now.

Ellen knows me so she doesn't force me to go with her.

"Ok then, i'll call when i get back."

I was just going to ask with whom she's planning to go because i'm pretty sure we can't just go and meet an international idol band even when we are in the same school. But before i could ask anything she added,

"I'm going with Daniel by the way," I was taken back though i should say i'm not surprised as its Ellen i'm talking about.

"Ellen don't tell me you already..." with a laugh she cut me off adding,

"Jesus, Meg, no."

..

Now there's a teeny weeny problem. I don't know what i should do until Ellen gets back and i'm not even sleepy. It looks like grandma won't be back anytime soon too. I wish i could go visit her but my aunt and uncle live in Vancour, which is quite a distance from Leon Valley. Well, as there are no signs of my parents returning home, its just me, myself and home.

I tried cleaning for exactly an hour and gave up because no one will care if the house is cleaned or not. I tried watching the hallmark movies that Ellen brought me one day but, they ended up being either too cheesy or too cliche for me to watch. I can't believe Ellen loves them when they are just too boring to watch.

So around 11 o'clock, I practically had nothing better to do at home rather than walking up and down like a clueless lost animal.

I usually don't go out in the weekends unless Ellen decides to drag me out which she does almost every weekend. These are the times i wish I had a sibling but well my parents are too busy to have another child.

As i felt like i will die of boredom, i decided to go to the nearest supermarket which is ten blocks away to buy things that i will decide to buy when i go there. I promise that made sense in my head.
