Chapter 16

I’ve gone out almost every night with Brianna but of course Lily would tag along. I’m still dying to be alone with Brianna but I don’t know how to make Lily stay away. Whenever she knows that Brianna are going somewhere with me, she will definitely wants to join in and Brianna without hesitation agree to it.

Today Brianna is taking me to a new place which she had found while riding Snowy but as usual, Lily decided to join us. Damn, how am I going to make Lily back off. I just can’t tell her that, now can I? I need someone to help me but who?

As usual, I went for a jogged and then to the gym. Keyshia and her husband Albert were already there.

“Hey,” I greeted them both as I entered and walked toward the bike and both of them cheerfully responded to it.

The three of us chat about random things and work until Keyshia teased me, “How’s the progress of merger between our companies?”

“Huh?” I didn’t quite understand at first.

She chuckled, “You and one of my sisters?”

“Oh,” I blushed, “I don’t know. It might take longer than I anticipant,” I sighed.

“Why?” she asked, “I thought you’ve gone out almost every night with Brianna?”

“Yes,” I nodded, “But with Lily tagging along.”

She looked shocked, “What? Urgh, that girl!!”

Andrew chuckled, “She never leaves you alone huh?”

“Nope”, I shook my head.

“I need to talk to her, tell her to back off and give Brianna and you some space,” said Keyshia.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea. I’m scare if Brianna knows about the arrangements, she might not want to be my friend,” I voiced out my concerned. “I don’t want Brianna to start avoiding me again. It’s not easy to break Brianna’s wall, you know. She’s becomes friends with me after I showed the same interest I have with her. If not, she will still call me Mr. Anderson and act cold towards me.”

“I think Rick has a point there, honey,” Albert nodded his head in agreement with me, “It’s not easy to make Brianna likes someone what more if she knew there’s an intention behinds it.”

“Yes, you both are right,” agrees Keyshia, “But the only way to make her like Rick by making her spend more time alone with him.”

“Yeah, that’s the only way,” her husband agrees with her, “Now what we have to do is to make Lily leave them alone.”

I nodded, “Without telling her to back off,” I stressed again. “She might suspect and tell Brianna.”

“Hmm, that’s means we have to make her too busy to follow you two,” Keyshia said, tapping her fingers to her chin. Both Albert and I nod our heads. “Hmm, think I know someone who can make her busy.”

“Who?” we both asked.

 “Mom,” she smiled.

“So are we on today?’ Lily eagerly asked me during breakfast.

“You are not going anywhere, young girl?” scolded Elisa. “You have homework to finish.”

“Aw, mum,” whined Lily, “Just for a short while. I’ll do them later. ”

“No,” Elisa sternly said, “You have been following these two everywhere and every night. I received a call from your teacher telling me that you didn’t finish your homework. So, you are not going anywhere until you complete them.”

“Aw, mum,” she whined again and then cast a sad look at Brianna and me as if pleading us to help her.

Seeing Brianna shrugged, I shrugged too. Lily pouted her lips and stomped her feet like a small kid out from the kitchen. I feel bad for her.

Elisa shook her head and then look at both of us, “Where you two going today?”

“I’m taking Rick higher up to the hills,” Brianna informed her, “There’s a new place I found yesterday while riding Snowy and I think Rick would love the place. There’s a stream there and maybe we could go fishing too,” She looked at me and smiled making me smiled back at her.

“Yeah, that would be fun,” I nodded my head.

“Hmm, let me pack some food for both of you, so that you could spend the whole day there,” offered Elisa.

“That’s a great idea,” agreed Brianna happily.

When she’s not looking Elisa winked at me. I was in shocked at first but when I realized what she’s actually doing, I blushed. I just realized that she’s actually giving me some time to be alone with Brianna. I feel like hugging her at that moment but refrain myself.
