my name is rose I am a senior at westerburg high school. i live with my father who is abusive and an alcoholic. the sad thing about this is that he was not always like this.    my father used to be very nice and caring  until my mom died from cancer. 

it was the first of September which meant  that it was the first day of school. my alarm went off at 7:00 and school started at 8 so i decided to take a shower. when i got out of the shower i dried myself off and i noticed  the bruise around my eye so i  put some makeup around the bruise and then got dressed in a black hoodie and black jeans. i look at my watch and it is 7:30 so i got ready to school before i left the bathroom i grabbed my anxiety meds  and my bag and i left.
