Chapter Twenty-Three: The Weak
Baby Tamara stretched her cute, little legs and snuggled against Shelly, instantly going back to sleep and returning to her sweet dreams. Shelly, who was full of confusion, set her back in Slappy Jr.'s crib, and Slappy Jr. rest his head on Tamara's belly once again and smiled.
Shelly wanted to stay and watch the babies, for they were adorable and irresistible, but she needed to figure out what was going on. Where she was and why she was there.
She quickly glanced at the baby boy before leaving the room and frowned.
She knew that whatever was going on had to do with the one and only. Slappy.
The girl quietly left and closed the door behind her. There was a lock below the doorknob, so she twisted the lock, locking the door, for she wanted the two babies to be safe from the psycho dummy. She had a hunch that there were other people - and by people, I mean monsters - in the castle. To be on the safe side, she peeked around every corner before heading down a hallway or entering a room. She desired to leave the castle and get help.
But that goal of hers backfired. She was getting tired.
Her legs were weak from all the walking, and every muscle in her body ached severely. Her forehead throbbed. But Shelly was used to these kinds of pain. These were all symptoms of her anxiety disorder. If she did not rest, then she would have a panic attack, and panic attacks are one of the worst feelings that you could ever get.
"I will...rest...for five minutes..." she said to herself.
The poor orphan did not have enough energy to keep going and find a bed or a place to rest. So she let herself drop to the floor and lied down. She spread out her arms and legs and shut her eyes...
About a half an hour later, Shelly heard voices. And they sounded close to where she was.
"No..."
She forced herself to sit up and leaned against the wall. She wanted to get up and run for the hills, but she could not. The tiredness and muscle aching still lingered in her. All that she could do was cover her eyes with her hands and hope that whoever it was would just ignore her or not see her and move on with their lives.
Unfortunately, that is not how it went down.
The girl felt a pat on her shoulder.
"Shelly?"
She recognized that voice.
It was none other than Slappy.
