(SPD,Chanyeol POV)

I was at the SPD sitting in the interrogation room where Chief Kim was. I knew from the look on his face he has a clue as to what is going on. He was asking questions about mine and Kihyung's relationship.

"What exactly were you doing with Kihyung during her three days off three and a half months ago?" Chief Kim asked me. I told him, "I took her out for dinner and we stayed at her place and watched movies and drank champagne." "But what else did you do?" he asked, "Were you guys intimate?"

"Why should it be any of your business that we were?!" I asked. He exclaims, "Because you are a suspect in this case and she is a cop! It is wrong for criminals and police officers to fall in love!" "I am not a criminal! I am a victim!" I exclaimed in his face.

"Snake took mine and Noona's father, innocence, and freedom. I've been in love with Kihyung long before Snake kidnapped me and Noona. You have no idea how much she means to me. How much she was on my mind. What does it take for you guys to see I'm the victim of this too?!"

"It takes time and patience!" says Chief Kim, "I know Kihyung is pregnant, and I see the way she acts around you too. I know she's in love with you. Now you tell me, are you the father. Because if you are you have a choice, get arrested, or get Kihyung fired."

I didn't like either choice, but I didn't want Kihyung to lose everything because of me. So I told him,"Yes, I'm the baby's father. Send me to jail, because I can't allow Kihyung to lose the job she loves because of me." "Very well," he says, and takes out his cuffs. The minute we exit the interrogation room, we saw Kihyung.

(Kihyung POV)

I was about to lose my mind. First, Snake murdered Yeri. Second, Chief Kim found out I was pregnant. And now, Chanyeol is about to be charged for impregnating me while he was in custody! I felt heavy tears flow down my cheeks. I couldn't lose my Chan Chan again. I JUST COULDN'T!

"Chief Kim! Don't do this to me!" I screamed as heavy tears feel down my face, "Don't take Chan Chan away from me again!" "Kihyung. You know that we were still proving his innocence when he did get you pregnant and started dating you," Chief Kim says, "and because he was still in custody, we have no choice."

"It wasn't her fault," Chanyeol said in his handcuffs, "It's mine. I never wanted to be a criminal. I never wanted to leave Kihyung. I didn't expect her to get pregnant so quickly, but I don't regret it either. At least I'm creating the family I lost with the girl I love."

"That's not going to help you out, because you still needed to be proven innocent before you were considered a suspect or a criminal," explained Chief Kim keeping Chanyeol in place as he struggled.

"But sir," I said, "Snake took Chan Chan away from me when he was a little boy! He forced him to organize the auctions, abused him, and even forced Chanyeol to have gay sex or participate in threesomes and foursomes with him!

"All those years, Chanyeol was held prisoner by that monster, I was determined to get him back! That's why I became a cop! That's why I graduated with honors from the police academy! My love for Chanyeol is what boost me to succeed! He doesn't deserve to be a prisoner again!"

"Well we can't allow this at all. We have to charge him," Chief Kim says. I say, "No you don't! You know what, if you arrest him, and put him in jail for my pregnancy, then I quit. I'll leave the SPD and find a new job to support mine and Chanyeol's baby."

I take off my badge a throw it into a mirror, shattering it. I screamed and started to shove everything off Chief Kim's desk, and kick his chair over. Then, I slapped Chief Kim. After my small rage episode, I fell to the floor on my knees, and cried my eyes out.

"No, Kihyung don't. You love your job," Chanyeol says. I got up and cried while hugging him, saying, "I'm sorry Chanyeol, but I have to. I do love this job, but I love you more. You're more important to me than any job in the planet. I'd rather die than lose you again." I kissed his lips and said, "I love you Chan Chan."

I walk towards the exit and turn around as Chief Kim gets my attention. He says, "Song! Please stay. You're the best on the force. We'll work something out," and held my badge. He made a faint smile, still hurting from me slapping him.

I shed another tear and say, "No thanks. You're just saying that so I can suffer while you guys try to make sure you lock Chanyeol away for something rational!" With that, I left the SPD, carrying the only connection to Chan Chan that I have now, our baby.

(Chief Kim POV)

I couldn't believe it. My best officer on the force quit. All because she loves a criminal more than she does her job, and that she's bearing this criminal's child. I sat Chanyeol in a chair and angrily asked him, "What did you say to her?"

"I didn't say anything," Chanyeol explains, "She told me when we found out she was pregnant that she's rather quit the SPD than to lose me." "Tell me this," I asked him, still furious that Kihyung quit because of her past with Chanyeol, "do you love her as much as she loves you."

He says, "I do sir, with all my heart. I protected her when I first met her. I was the Chan Chan who bandaged her knee when some bullies hurt her, the one who always played with her, and I swore to her that I would protect her no matter what before I got kidnapped. I even thought about her while Snake kept me and Noona hostage. Kihyung was on my mind night and day, every single year I was there.

"I told Noona every time Snake was busy or out in town, that Kihyung is who gives me confidence, and she is who I live for, who I fight for, and why I worked so hard to make sure we get freed. She was my first priority when I got my freedom. I knew she cried thinking about me, and I hated that more than anything. I told myself that when I do see her again, I'll make sure she doesn't cry ever again! That was a promise! The only promise that I could make to her! I love her with everything that I have!"

I thought back to hearing Kihyung talk about Chanyeol when she did work here. And how hard she worked on the case so she could save him. They really do love each other huh?

"Let him go!" I heard Yoora exclaim. I turned to her as she said, "You call yourself a police officer. How can you say Chanyeol is innocent and then arrest him for getting a police officer pregnant while he was in custody, helping you solve this 20-year crime?! How can you even call yourself human?!

"Even though Chanyeol and Kihyung weren't expecting it, their baby meant something to them! The very same baby is a symbol of a love they've had for each other since they've met and been apart. But to arrest Chanyeol for a crime he didn't commit and being in love with a police officer who did everything to save him from that sick bastard, you must not have a heart, or feelings!"

Yoora then slapped me, and stomped me on the ground. Officers Seo and Jeon came in to get Yoora off of me as she beat me up. I saw Chanyeol use my keys on the floor to free himself and get his sister off of me.

(Chanyeol POV)

"Noona! Please stop this!" I exclaimed as I tried to get her off of Chief Kim. Noona yells, "No Chanyeol! After all these years, we finally have a chance at freedom, but this bastard is trying to take away your freedom just because you fell in love! You're innocent, and I will not allow anyone to say otherwise!" Then as the other officers took Chief Kim away to the hospital, Noona was running after them.

However, she fell to her knees and passed out. "Noona!" I exclaimed, shaking my sister to wake her up, "Noona!" She must've starved and had malnutrition, in addition to what just happened. I picked her up and carried her to the hospital.

I managed to get a taxi and did everything I could to make sure Noona was okay. Upon arriving to the hospital, I grabbed Noona, and started rushing in for help. "Help me! Somebody help!" I said while crying. Two doctors rushed to me as I said, "My Noona isn't feeling well! Somebody help her, please!"

They got a bed and started taking her to a private room. Since I'm a relative, I can go in. I was crying while the doctors are doing everything they could to revive her. Two nurses were comforting me telling me Noona will be alright.

(Two weeks later, Kihyung POV)

As I was already growing my bump, I managed to get everything packed with help from Choa and her cousins. I decided to move out and start fresh after quitting my job at the SPD. I couldn't bear seeing them take Chanyeol away from me and our baby. Until I can find a new job, Choa is letting me help her do makeup at the studio she works at.

I was nailing down the "for sale" sign in the front yard as everything was getting loaded onto the trailer. "Alright," Choa says, "everything is on the trailer, and my cousins even offered to help you move into the house we bought." "Thanks Choa," I said to her while rubbing my bump, "you do so much for me. Could I pay you back after helping me save Yoora?"

"No no, Kihyung. I was more than willing to let you," she said, "after all, my little nephew in there is the best repayment I could ever have." "He's going to be proud to have a devoted aunt like you then," I said.

Last week, while were packing, I went to my gynecologist to check on my baby, and I found out that Chanyeol and I were having a boy. I'm happy that it's a boy, because then I can see Chanyeol in him when he comes out. Kidae Oppa heard about what happened and said he'll help me out financially and allow Choa to temporarily move in with me.

We got into Choa's car and went to my new house. Upon arriving, her cousins already got the living room, including the TV, completely set up. Choa helps me to the couch and gave me some food we bought on the way over here. She even started talking to my stomach, and I played some voice recordings Chanyeol made so my baby could hear his father's voice.

(hospital, Chief Kim POV)

I woke up so I could eat breakfast. It's been two weeks, and my bruises are starting to heal. However, I have to wear a boot after Yoora and Kihyung hurt me for arresting Chanyeol. But I got a letter from the prosecutors and forensic scientists of the case last week, and they let me know what Chanyeol's fate was.

Officer Seo, my girlfriend and another great police officer on the force, was by my side the entire time. Once we see Chanyeol, she grabs her handcuffs and I say, "Ju-hyun. There's no need for that. Really." She then says, "But he got Officer Song pregnant while in our custody, and he hurt you."

"He didn't hurt me, and he's no longer in our custody," I said, "let him in." Officer Seo did what I asked and sat down. Chanyeol comes in and says, "Sir. I am truly sorry for Kihyung and Noona's actions. I don't want you to hold anything against me. If you want to arrest me, then go on ahead."

"I'm not going to arrest you," I said, "the judge says that I can't arrest you for getting Kihyung pregnant until the evidence proves whether or not you committed the crimes. And if they say you're innocent, then you'll not be charged with any other crimes related to this particular case. I'm sorry for trying to separate you from your family and the love of your life."

"Thank you sir, and will I be eligible to do police training if I'm aquitted?" Chanyeol asks me. I nodded yes to him. Kihyung was right, her Chan Chan is an amazing fellow. I saw her as a younger sister, and only wanted what was best for her. I guess I didn't think twice when I tried to arrest him.

When the doctors came in, they took me to get my boot on, and helped me back into my regular clothes. I saw Chanyeol with Yoora by his side. She told me she was sorry, but I told her that I forgive her. We then went to the SPD to ask more questions about what happened to them.
