Date Night

(Kihyung POV)

After we get done eating supper, Chanyeol asks me, "Since you have the day off tomorrow and two days after, do you want to go on a date with me? I made reservations to this lovely restaurant back in Seoul two weeks ago."

I thought about it for a while, and I said, "Sure, that would be lovely. I finally get the chance to wear the dress my brother bought for me for my birthday." "Great," he said, "I'll see you in the morning Kihyung," and kisses my hand. He goes into the guest room and lays down.

Afterwards, I went to my room, and started looking at the pictures we took together. My heart raced every time I thought about my Chan Chan. I'm so happy he's back in my life.

What I don't get is Snake forcing Chanyeol to turn to a life of crime while holding his sister hostage. I'll make Snake pay for what he's done to the love of my life. If he gets the death sentence, I'm going to watch his execution, and hope he rots in hell.

Turning off my light, I place my phone on the table and went to sleep. I said, "I'm happy Chan Chan came back to me. I don't want to lose him again." I dozed off, excited for our date tomorrow.

(the next day, Chanyeol POV)

I was downstairs, checking myself in the mirror to make sure I look good for the date I asked Kihyung on, since she has three days off for working hard on the case. I was currently waiting on her to get done, because I was taking her to this lovely restaurant I made reservations for, and we had to dress nice.

At first, I didn't think she would say yes to me, especially after she remembers me. We were planning on catching up tonight as well, and I wanted to make a good impression on her. "Chanyeol! I'm done!" she says.

I brush my hair back as I heard her footsteps down the stairs while holding a bouquet of flowers I bought at the store for her. She got down here, wearing a lovely black evening dress with a slit on it. My jaw dropped to the ground as I saw how beautiful she looked. "Wow! You look--," I say as I began to lose my words, "Beautiful!"

"Thank you Chan Chan," she says blushing, "and might I say, you look quite handsome yourself." "Thanks Kihyung, shall we dine?" I say as I take her arm. Kihyung says, "Dine we shall." I take her to the car and open the door for her, since I was driving tonight.

We reached the restaurant. I got out and told the host, "Park Chanyeol, table for two please." The host looks at the reservations and says, "Right this way gentleman." He leads us to a private room with a nice view of Seoul. After giving us menus, the waiter asks for drinks.

"How does champagne sound my lady?" I asked Kihyung while holding her hand. She says, "Sounds lovely. White champagne please." The waiter says, "One bottle of cold white champagne coming up. I'll be back to take your orders too." After he leaves, Kihyung and I catch up on our lives.

"So," I say, "how have you been for the past years?" "I was pretty lonely," she said, "but you know. I had to keep a positive attitude up. I heard a few years ago that your mother made a memorial in her restaurant on the tenth anniversary of your father's death while I was in school."

"It would be great to see Eomma again," I say, looking at my hands. Kihyung holds them and says, "You will. Trust me. I'll make sure Snake doesn't do this to anyone else." I ask, "So do you still want me in your life after all these years, after the investigation is over?"

"Sure I do," Kihyung explains, "I've missed you all this time. I don't want you to leave me again. I'm going to make sure you don't get charged with any crime, and that you and your sister get the freedom and justice you deserve after so long. It's not a deal. It's a promise!"

I smile at her and say, "Thank you so much Kihyung." The waiter brings us the champagne, and we place out orders. We ate when our food arrived. I gave the host my credit card to pay for our meals, and escorted Kihyung out the door.

As we head to the car, she says, "That was an amazing date Chanyeol. I'm glad we got three days off to spend today." "Yeah," I say, "I wish we had more days like this for just the two of us." "I know, it gives us a chance to have fun together and catch up on our lives," Kihyung says, laying her head on my shoulder.

I smiled at her and said, "When you were in high school, did you go out with anyone?" "To be honest, yes," Kihyung said, "but I broke up with him because I just wasn't in love with him like I was with a certain other person."

"Really?" I asked. The other person could be anyone, even me. I had no idea she barely dated because of that. I must tell her how I feel while I have the chance to spend our days off together. "Um, anyways," I nervously said, "Let me take you home."

I lead Kihyung to the car and opened the door. Before she got in, I begin to lose control of my own actions. Grabbing her hand, I said, "Kihyung, wait!" Before she could say something, I crashed my lips onto her while holding her face.

It fit perfectly in my hands, and her lips were so warm, yet moist. To my surprise, she didn't push me to stop. Instead, Kihyung deepens the kiss by wrapping her arms around my neck. After awhile, I let go and look into her eyes. I just couldn't look away from them for even a second. She was the definition of perfection.

"I. I'm sorry, I didn't know what I was doing," I said, letting Kihyung go so I can start the ignition. She said, "It's okay. Really. Let's just go home and get ready for bed." I nod and start the car up.

We barely spoke on the way back, but I did hold her hand and smiled while driving. Hopefully she isn't mad about the kiss. We arrived home and got ready for bed. As I got ready, I begin to feel guilty about the kiss. She could've have a boyfriend. She could've been mad at me.

I wanted to make sure I was on good terms with Kihyung throughout the case. Not only so I can find my sister, but to also confess my love for her that I had every since we met and while I was held hostage by Snake.
