Chapter 9

Gabrielle's POV

My phone beeped a specific ringtone that I enabled for only Jungkook's cause inside the pocket of my skirt indicating that he messaged me, but ignored it throughout our freetime. His texts are either about asking me for homework help or a reminder for me to stay away from Sehun. It occasionally bugs me that it was not worth my time, so I remained aloof of his unimportant messages. Not to mention, that he's in the other classroom across mine.

The teacher had already finished her lesson for the day, so we were free to do anything at our will, that involves academics of course. I started on my 5,000-10,000 word essay, as I finalized the first three paragraphs, and checked for any grammar errors to avoid deductions of points, but Jungkook was relentless as hell. He spammed my phone with my name and ended up lagging it.

I furrowed my eyebrows and faced him in the other side of the classroom. His attention was on me on their whole lecture and up until now. He looked at me with a mischievous, lopsided grin as I mouthed him obscenities before continuing my essay. 30 minutes of freetime and I'm barely halfway through my assignment. I groaned and lazily slouched on my desk. I rested my legs on the other chair, since my bestfriend, Bianca, was excused by our English teacher to do a special report to the lower rankings, leaving me with no one to talk to for the next 20 minutes.

Well, I could talk to Jungkook, but they're not finished with their lecture yet, and their math teacher will probably sue me along with Jungkook, so bad idea.

I rested my head on the window sill with the my hands resting on my head, as I fixed my gaze to the ceiling of the classroom, not knowing what to do with myself. Everyone else here does the same and either sleep on their desk, read a book, or stare at something and think about life.

The next class was about to start in the same room with Jungkook and Sehun, and I don't think it'll go as well as I'll predict, especially since Sehun was assigned on a desk next to mine. No matter how much I tell Jungkook that I'll avoid him, he can't just chill when I'm around him. It's as if were a real item.

I brushed the thought off my head, and marched to my next class.

I sat in my desk, and scanned through my bag for my Biology textbook and realize it wasn't there.

Sehun and Jungkook already walked in, occasionally Jungkook bumping Sehun in the shoulder. Sehun sat beside my desk as Jungkook threw his bag into his desk and took a seat in the desk beside me on my left.

"Hey, Gabrielle. Why didn't you text me back?" He asked before glancing at the person behind me.

"Homework." I shielded Sehun and blocked his field of vision with my head.

He glared at me with less anger before relaxing his facial expressions. "So, what subject is this again?"

"We have Biology." I sighed. "Can't you just keep in track of our subjects?"

He shrugged and ripped of the bag of chips he had in hand. I inwardly cursed when I remembered that my Biology textbook isn't with me.

I quickly stood up and quickly excused myself from the both of them, and heard Jungkook once again reminded me to watch out for thise group of girls that are most likely planning something against me. I know that this isn't the best idea to do in this situation, but if I didn't have my textbook with me, the teacher will probably send me outside again. I hate being sent out and be given dirty looks by teachers who pass by, and being the subject of the student's gossips. Jungkook might not care, but he's part of BTS, and it stills bothers me that we don't get the same treatment.

I opened my locker and praised the heavens, for my textbook is here, untouched, just like I left it. Before, I became his pretend girlfriend, he'd load my locker with buttloads of whipped cream, as he watches from afar, savoring my moments of humiliation. Ahh, bad times.

My locker was piled with notes, folders, and notebooks, leaving the one I needed at the very bottom. It took a very long time to carefully remove my notebook without crashing it, but otherwise, I'd successfully remived my notebook, and I can now peacefully walk back to my class, before a sharp nail tapped me from behind.

I closed my locker slowly, and slightly peeped behind my shoulder.

"I need to talk to you, Gabrielle." Her snotty, high pitched accent made my blood boil. I already knew who she was, yet, something in my mind refuses me to let my anger seethe through. I bit my lip harshly, and turned around to face Sanae and her gang of wh***s. And here I thought I was going to have a peaceful walk back. How ironic.

"What." I said in with a brusque tone, hoping she would get the message.

She just rolled her eyes. "Here's some friendly advice, stay away from Jungkook. It's obvious that he's only dating you by force, so why don't you pick up your suitcase and travel to a remote island, where you will be safe from what I will do to you if you don't obey."

I inhaled impatiently and rubbed my aching temples. I really don't want to do this now, I'm already stressed with homeworks and essays now this.

"Look, number one, you stay away from Jungkook. Who are you anyway to command me to do such a thing, plus he never belonged to you, and he won't ever be. Number two, he dated you by force, he dated me because I was there for him, and never left his side the whole time he's here," Lies. "and you only moved here to get closer to him, when you know that he already belonged to someone else. And last and foremost, I'm not scared of what you can do. Hire an army or even the FBI to hunt me down and kill me, but burn it into your head that I'll never be afraid of what you're capable of." I clarified with so much confidence, that I even felt the burn, and her gang can act as witnesses.

Within seconds, her face turned red and her facial expression wrinkled in an enraged manner, as she raised her hand to slap me.

"You bi***!"

I did no action to defend myself, and let her hand go through my face. I just remained my position, unfazed by her slap. I admit, it hurts but, I'll let her feel a tiny amount of glory. I could feel my lips bleed when it was scratched by her long nails, as I licked the blood slowly seeping out.

"Is that all you can do? I may have  overestimated you." I chuckled mockingly recieving a strong punch on the same cheek she slapped. This caught me off balanced as I ungracefully fell on my sides. I felt that my lip got busted from the impact, but still remained my expression unaffected.

"How's that? Now it's my turn to laugh." She laughed a laugh that's similar to the 90's anime girls. A snottish, annoying one. She continued laughing and turned so her back was facing me, as she commanded for her gang to laugh harder. She thinks she already won? I slowly sat up and wiped my bleeding mouth.

"You slapped me, because you have no response for what I said." I stood up and clenched my fists. "So, it's true isn't it?"

She stopped her moment of amusement, and turned at me angrily. "You just don't give up, do you?"

"Give up? The fight hasn't even started yet." I said in a intimidating tone. "You reacted by physical force, meaning that you can't accept the fact that-" I licked my bleeding lip before continuing.

"You lost."

It was obvious that she was enraged, as her face grew even wrinklier and angrier than ever before. This amused me, especially the fact that her pawns wouldn't even dare to defend her. Makeup can't cover her imperfections for long.

"Face it, Sanae. I won." I said sassily.

"O-oh yeah!? Well, guess what! I'm a sore loser!" She raised her fist and clenched it so hard that it turned paler than a deceased, old man, and targeted it at my face, but this time, I successfully blocked without using  much effort.

She grew wide eyed and her feared expression, furtherly amused my satisfaction for blood.

Her hand went limp, and shaky as I slowly walked forward. She kept a distance and moved back with the same pace.

"You see this?" I said as I pointed to my bruised cheek and busted lip. "I'm not leaving you unpunished." I walked closer to her until her backed hitted the wall. Her group was long gone, leaving me and her alone.

I raised my fists that were itching to make contact with her powdered face.

"Say, goodnight" I chirped.
